Liverpool will agree to sell striker Fernando Torres before the end of January - but only if Chelsea pay £50m, BBC Sport understands.
The Reds have already rejected a £35m bid from Chelsea for the 26-year-old Spaniard, who joined the Reds from Atletico Madrid in 2007 in a £20m deal.
Liverpool also turned down a transfer request for Torres on Friday.
Another option could be a £40m deal, with a world-class replacement - namely Nicolas Anelka - heading to Anfield.

Good price.

Few reports in Chelsea suggesting Daniel Sturridge may join Bolton on loan until the end of the season. If true they surely the Torres deal looks like it could be on??

That or Carlo thinks we can survive without him :(

Whilst all these huge transfer deals are happening, a couple of Villa things are going on in the background. I'm led to believe a possible three signings tomorrow.

1 - Michael Bradley, which looks 100%
2 - Unnamed defender, who has been offered to us and don't know if we will take the bid up
3 - Unnamed player, who is out of contract in summer but subject to mounting interest so we may have to get him tomorrow if we feel he'll go somewhere else either tomorrow or in Summer before we get a chance to get him.

EDIT: Bradley deal said to be done. Early afternoon announcement tomorrow. Welcome to Villa Park, Michael.

Manchester City failed with £4m deadline day bid for Gent winger Yassine El Ghanassy

The 20-year-old, who helped unfancied Gent finish league runners-up and win the Belgian Cup last season, can play on either flank and was seen as a stop-gap for Adam Johnson but with potential for the future. Gent turned down City and Villarreal but will listen to offers in the summer.
