Seeen this on a West Ham forum, were in for Demba Ba of Hoffenheim, 6 million. Would be a good addition if he's as good as on FM!

Colorado Rapids striker Omar Cummings is set to train with Aston Villa and could join the Premier League club on loan. The 28-year-old Jamaica international was the Major League Soccer side's 2010 golden boot winner with 14 goals.

Juventus want Arsenal star Robin van Persie in exchange for Brazil hard man Felipe Melo

Juventus will test Arsene Wenger's desire to sign Felipe Melo by insisting on an Arsenal star in exchange.
The Gunners boss admits he is still interested in Melo, who he failed to land when the Brazil midfielder left Fiorentina for Juve in a players plus cash deal worth £21million.
The Turin giants would be open to a deal, but are eyeing at least one of Robin van Persie, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna as part of any transfer.

Arsenal target: Felipe Melo (left) has struggled to settle at Juventus

Wenger is likely to resist a raid for the first-team trio, though in the summer he was willing to offer Fiorentina Emmanuel Eboue as part of a total package worth £18m.
Juve are unlikely to recoup what they paid for the 26-year-old. Melo has been disappointing and part of a criticised Brazilian trio alongside Diego and Amauri at the underachieving Serie A side.

Swap deal: Juventus want Arsenal star Robin van Persie (left)

Nonetheless, Melo continues to perform well at international level and Wenger watched him play in the Brazil side that beat the Republic of Ireland 2-0 at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
'We were interested in Melo during the summer,' said Wenger earlier this week. 'We still think he is a very talented player and with Gilberto Silva, Brazil have a very useful pair in midfield. We are still looking at Melo.'

In other news briefly, apparently Liverpool are monitoring teenage Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with their director of football strategy Damien Comolli in the stands at St Mary's today to watch him find the net in a 4-1 win over Huddersfield in League One.

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to reinforce his Manchester United midfield with a £12m new year move for Real Madrid's Lassana Diarra.

Fulham hope to make Chris Samba their first signing of the January transfer window but the Blackburn defender wants assurances over Mark Hughes's future first.

However, the Cottagers may face competition from Arsenal, who are keen on the £8m-rated centre-back.

The Gunners are also reportedly back in the hunt for Werder Bremen centre-back Per Mertesacker.

Liverpool have rejected a loan offer from Birmingham City for 24-year-old winger Ryan Babel, who has also attracted interest from West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur.

Cant remember the thread as their is so many on Liverpool but it must have been about 2 months ago. Liverpool need a target man striker to take some of the load off Torres's shoulders and Carlton Cole fits that description easily.

Pepe offered big money to sign for City.

Dunne and Ireland to Celtic.

Bremen interested in Villa's Davies

Wolves want Robbie Keane back on loan

West Ham look set to sign Dieumerci Mbokani on loan.

Hull close to signing Matty Fryatt for £1.5m

But he' ****.

Let me guess, not good enough to wear the historic liverpool shirt??? Things have changed you are no longer the club you used to be.

Carlton Cole is a handfull so defenders would have to mark him tightly which would effectivly give Torres more room to do his stuff. Also Cole would win alot of balls in the air allowing Torres to run in behind the defence as he has bags of pace and score goals.

No, he's ****. And wouldn't play in a 4-2-3-1.
