What real big name is going to want to join a declining Liverpool side??? They have to build back up slowly but they want it done over night and its laughable.

Speaking of declining sides, where are you in the league again?

And just get it in your thick head that we do not want Carlton Cole.

Declining Liverpool side? Fair enough, we haven't been in great form of late, but it's gradually returning to us, and what else is to be expected when a team brings in a new manager who has a completely different style of play? Judging by other teams form, a decent string of results from us could easily get us back into contention for Europe. Whether Carlton Cole would help us do that is difficult to tell right now though.

But if that was the case, there's no way of telling that signing Cole was the reason behind Torres' return to form, surely?

Ok this is my view on things. Torres isen't the player he used to be as he used to get people kicking the **** out of him and it has dented his confidence and the injurys have started to catch up with him. Having a tall strong target man like Carlton Cole partnering him upfront would naturaly draw the defenders to the big man leaving Torres in more space and not being kicked the **** out of.

It really depends upon how much cash they have, Liverpool are still a massive club, you don't lose that tag overnight. They managed to snare Torres back when others were interested (including Utd and possibly Chelsea I believe). If the money's there then I'm sure that they could attract someone like Dzeko or Horau (although if City's interest is genuine then the former could be more difficult).

You shouldn't go bad mouthing a club in 'decline' when your own club is in worse form. Could come back and really bite you in the ***

Torres signed when Liverpool where a much better side than they are now. And Chelsea have had a bad run of results but nothing comparred to the decline Liverpool have been on the last year or so

A bad run of results dosen't mean we are going to start declining as a side. Like i said i would prefer if you didn't sign him as i think it would be beneficial to the side and i wouldnt want that.

Fair enough on the first part of that, although I don't think that's something that will stay forever, as he is used to playing in England now and has come to expect it. On the part about Cole dragging defenders away from Torres, I can't see this happening. Just because Cole is the bigger player doesn't mean defenders will focus on him. Surely, the player with the biggest reputation, who, no matter what the form is, would be Torres, would worry defenders more. He may split attention, but in the end, it's the striker who chooses which defender is going to mark them.

Torres/Cole have been the worst this season, so it's not like Torres can feel he done his best or anything

Grow up you absolute joker.

We are still one of the greatest sides in the world and we have new owners looking to take us forward. We dont and wont have no problem attracting quality players to Anfield and if you think we have your living in your little Chelsea dream world.

Torres will be back and when he is I'll quote all these pathetic comments about him getting knocked about. Why didn't Chelsea knock him about in November CJacko if hes that easy to handle?

Also its funny how much **** i get whenever i mention Chelsea in a thread but when people do it for me nothing is said about it.

Grow up?? Im older than you, you mug. Torres has always played well against Chelsea and we were poor on the day simple as that. He is a shadow of the player we know and that is a fact. And yes you are one of the biggest names in football but alot has changed in the 20years since you were winning league titles on a regular basis.

Quite apart from this whole clusterfuck, I quite like Carlton Cole. He offers you (not necessarily Liverpool, a general 'you') a different angle in attack and isn't quite as one-dimensional as everyone seems to make out, as well as having a decent eye for goal. I'd have him at Villa.

So's David Cameron. Doesn't stop him being a massive ****.

Doesn't matter how old you are, I just said grow up.

Hes been playing at the top level all his career and played well ever since he joined Liverpool as a lone striker. But all the sudden he can't play the lone striker role anymore an hes the shadow of the player he used to be? In that case Maloudas the shadow of the player he used to be, so is Drogba. Your speaking out your *** as usual mate. Everyone dips in form for a while and he will be back mark my word. Thats why hes linked with every top team in the world, because simple as hes world class.

If im a **** then say im a ****, dont say grow up to someone that is older than you its just plain idiotic.

When people say grow up it doesnt mean all the sudden get a few year older. It means grow up mentally... Thought I'd clarify that.

Malouda has been poor the last few months i agree but Drogba has been suffering from a pretty bad illness. Torres can't play that lone striker anymore because most teams know how to deal with him and if you think otherwise then good luck to you. Im speaking what i think is true, shows what kind of person you are if you cant just accept my points ay.

You're a ****.

Seriously though, you can say "grow up" to anyone of any age. You're telling them to grow up and start acting like they're mature, rather than acting like a five year old.

Atleast i can admit it.
