Thanks guys.. The reason there was League Table screenshot, is that I've already played 2 games into the next month, and i did not want to let you see how i had been getting on.

But there will be one on every update after.

Europa League Group Stage.​

We have been drawn in the same group as the following teams:

Europa League Group
LOSC Lille Metropole
Steaua Bucharest
FC Zurich
Aston Villa

It's a tough group, the teams there will not be easy to beat at home, never mind away so it's going to be a real challenge for us, but if we play football like we can, and like we have done in games this season, then there is no reason why we can't get past the group stage and maybe push to the final?
 
ive had worse groups coach, zurich and steaua should be reasonably easy with the villa squad, lille may be a problem

Meh.. Don't know, they could be tricky. Just have to wait and see.

Maybe have 1 more update tonight, if not you'll have one tomorrow. :wub:

September - A Tough Month..​


Into month 2 of the season now, and so far i feel we have done very well in the games we have played, and the results we have had have been pretty fair i think overall. If we keep up this form, and the way we have played we will meet are targets.


English Premier Division
Aston Villa 2 - 2 Arsenal ( Young & Sidwell )

Arsenal home or away is very tough, a team on there day can beat any team in the world, and to be honest i did expect to lose this game, but the players played some great football and in parts of the game outplayed Arsenal. But it was a pretty fair game overall, and a 2-2 result is fair.

Aston Villa 0 - 0 Fulham

A little angry at this result, i feel we should have won this game 1-0, 2-0 with the chances we created, but it's our own fault we never took our chances and we only got 1 point instead of 3, but still it's a point more then 0 so it's good.

Europa League Group E
FC Zurich 0 - 2 Aston Villa ( Heskey & Carew )

Happy with this game, all away games are hard but a away game in Europe is harder. And we played well i though, took the game to them and they could not handle us. They did created 1 or 2 good chances but not good enough in-front of goal, we where.

Everton 1 - 0 Aston Villa

.. Really should not have lost this game, i feel we where the better team in the game, and played much better then Everton, but there defense and keeper where having a good game, and really won them 3 points. We where not as good in-front of goal as we have been this season. 3 Points lost. :(

League Cup 3rd Round
Aston Villa 2 - 0 Fulham ( Gabby Agbonlahor x2 )

More then happy with this game, we won the game which is most important, and we played some great football, and at times made Fulham look like school boy, I'm very please with the team for the way they played this game.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Manchester United ( Gabby Agbonlahor )

Wow.. I did not expect this, Man Utd maybe the best team in the world and we won. I think the team reason was Gago i asked him to keep Rooney quite, and he did but it's Rooney and you can't keep him quite through the whole game, and he did have chances, well Man Utd had loads, and we where lucky they did not get 3-4 goals never mind 1. But as he has done most of the season so fa, Gabby struck the ball home and won us the game.

Aston Villa 2 - 1 LOSC Lille Metropole ( Gago & Delph )

Another good win in Europe, we where the better team in the game, and did deserve the win, we out played them in the middle of the park and where better in the final 3rd of the pitch. Delph came of the bench and within 2 minutes got his 1st goal in Europe, lets hope it's not his last.

October - It's All About Sidwell​


This month has been another good month for us, but it could have been a really bad month for us, if it was not for Sidwell, he has been the best player for us this month, and has made a impact in all the game he has played in this think, weather it's a goal, a assists, or winning the ball back. He has been super.


English Premier Division
West Ham 1 - 1 Aston Villa
Goal - Ashley Young

Going to Upton Park is not that easy, West Ham are a tough team and they showed is why today, we had more of the ball, but we could not do anything with it really, the chances we did created where pretty lucky and in ways are lucky to even get a point. But we did, and I'm happy with a point away from home.

Aston Villa 2 - 1 Tottenham
Goals - Ashley Young & Gabby Agbonlahor

Another tough game, Spurs are around us in the league, and a team that could get 4th spot if they have a good season, so we new it would not be easy. They where the better team during the game, but Brad had a good game in goal, and made some very good saves to keep us in the game, and maybe it was down to him we got all 3 points.

Goals - Gabby Agbonlahor & Steve Sidwell

Europa.. Again, i wanted to win all my home game in Europa and then maybe get a win away, i think that would get us through, and we got a home win here, but it was not easy they came at us and gave us problems we did deal with them, maybe a lucky day, on another day if we where not at our best it would have been a different story.

Aston Villa 2 - 3 Portsmouth
Goals - Gabby Agbonlahor & Stephen Warnock

Not happy with this result, we should have won this game, not saying Portsmouth are a bad team, but with the chances we created i felt we where the better team and should have scored at least 4-5 goals, but Portsmouth stood strong at the back and where not easy to break down, and that was the reason they went home with 3 points.

Aston Villa 2 - 1 Manchester City

Yes! Next round of the league cup, and it was City. I really did not expect to win this game, i though City would be to strong for us going forward but despite them making some good chances they where pretty poor in-front of goal, we where not at our best but we looked much better in the final 3rd.

Wigan 1 - 4 Aston Villa
Goals - Gabby Agbonlahor x3 & Richard Dunne

A nice win away from home, if we are to get a good place in the table we need to win these games and we looked very good in this game, we never made a extraordinary amount of chances but we used the ones we made well.. And Gabby was on form like he has been all season and got 3 goals, and the match ball.

Draw vs. West Ham, loss vs. Pompey.. then win vs. Man City XD up and down month, expected better and a healthier league position, but it's only after 11 games, so it's not too bad. Hope for a better month next time around, good luck bud.

Yeah, a strange month.. But it's to many draws that is what it is, but at the end of the day, I'd rather draw then lose.

November - What I Expected​

Before this month started i looked at the fixtures and there was only 4 games in the month, which is pretty short, but i new what i wanted in all the game and apart from 1, it was what i expected.


Europa League Group E
Steaua Bucharest 0 - 0 Aston Villa
Goals -

I new this game would be hard to win, and it was just that. They where sitting 3rd in the group and would want to try overtake Lille, but if they are to they would need results, and despite is making a lot of chances and putting pressure on they handled it pretty well, and a point for us was good as we now sit 5 points clear of second.

Birmingham 1 - 3 Aston Villa
Goals - Gabby Agbonlahor x3

If you take your chances, you win games. They created 25 chances, we created 14, yet we won 3-1, shows if your don't take your chances when in-front of goal, you don't win. And Brum did deserve to win, they where the better team during the 90 minutes but we where better in-front of goals, and went home with 3 points.

Goals - James Milner & Gabby Agbonlahor

A one sided game here, we where by far the better team and created more chances, but in-front of goal we where not as good as we have been, if we where it would have been 5 or 6 goals, but we still won and we take the 3 points. And moved behind Bolton in the league table.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Aston Villa
Goals -

Chelsea where the better team here, and i did expect that with the team they had, and also being at home, i new we would not win, but that did not stop us from trying, we did go looking to score we are not going to sit back and let them roll us over, and at the end of the game it was a A.Cole penalty that won them the game.
