December - A Very Long Month..​

Wow.. 10 Games this month, it's going to be very busy for us and there is some tough/Important games for us, so we'll need to be at our best. And as we don't have the biggest team in the league, it's going to be extra hard if we get players injured.


Europa League Group E
Aston Villa 2 - 1 FC Zurich
Goals - Ashley Young & Gabby Agbonlahor

As we already made it through the group stage, i was not fussed if we won or not, but we did. And it was a one sided game, we dominated from the start and created loads of chances, if we were more clinical in-front of goal, it would have been 6-7 goals not 2. 3 more points for us in the group.

Goals - Steve Sidwell x2 & Gabby Agbonlahor

Well.. I was not expecting this, with the players Liverpool had, and them pushing Chelsea at the top of the league I expected them to win this game, but it never looked like it would happen, they did created chances, but wasted them all really, and we took ours, and we get the 3 points, and it's a 3 points we did not expect.

League Cup Quarter Final
Everton 0 - 5 Aston Villa
Goals - John Carew x2, James Milner, Joseph Yobo, Steve Sidwell

It looks like it was very much one sided, but it really wasn't it was a pretty fair game overall we only created 6 chances that went on-target, and we scored 5 goals, it was us being great in-front of goal that won is the game, and gave is such a good scoreline.

Goals -

4 Players won this game for Man City, there back 4 where super today and if they where not so good it could have been a totally different game, we had more of the ball then City and used it well, until we came to City's back 4 and we lost it all the time. I think we should have had at least a point.

LOSC Lille Metropole 1 - 1 Aston Villa
Goal - Emile Heskey

The last Europa League Group match for us, and we where already through, but i did not want to lose, as it would have been the only game we lost in the Group Stage, and i wanted to come out with 0 defeats, and it was tough, Lille wanted a win and went for a win, but a 21st minutes goal from Heskey gave is a point.

After not getting a win in the last 2 games and only getting 1 goal, i think confidence went down, as we looked poor, we had more of the ball then Wolves and created more chances, but what we did with the ball was poor, we gave it away too easy and where not as good in-front of goal as we have been. Fair play to Wolves however who took there chances and take 3 points.

Super show by the players, after the 3 games with no win, i could tell they really wanted to get back to winning ways they where playing some good stuff and got 5 goals for there performance i just hope we can keep this up now, and play like this in all our games..

I'm pretty happy with this result, i know it's a game we should have won if we are to finish the league in a good position, but Hull had loads of men behind the ball all game, and his us on the counter attack, they also played some very good football, and we found it hard to break them down so I'm happy with 1 point away from home.

Yes! Another good performance by the team, confidence looks high again, and it's good as we have Arsenal next game so i hope we can get something in that game. We looked good today, passing the ball well, defending well, controlled the game really, and get 3 points for it.

Just as we gain more confidence.. Boom! We come up against Arsenal and lose, and to be fair i new it would happen, but it's just a pain we had to play them now. They where the better team in the game and created more and some good chances, but Bendtner got both goals for them, and was maybe there best player.

6th or higher I said, and getting 6th is a good finish for us I feel, if you take a look at the teams that did finisher higher then us, you'll see they are stronger teams, and teams people would expect to finish higher then us. But if you also look lower down the league you'll see Arsenal? And when you finish above Arsenal in the league you've had a good season.

I said anything past the group stage would be good? And we made it all the way to the Quarter Final, and I'm more then happy with this. I did think the group stage would be harder then it was, but we won 4 and drew 2 games in the group, so did not lose and I'm really happy with this. Then I think we got a little lucky with the teams we got in the next rounds? AZ & Genoa I'm not saying they are bad teams, but we could have got teams that are much better. But Everton where to much for us, and 1 goal in both leg's won the tie.

I said Quarter Final? And we got knocked out in the 4th round, it's just not good enough, and it was Everton again that is the 2nd competition we've been knocked out of against Everton, but they where the better team in all the games. Anyway, I just hope this does not happen again next year.

Start of the season I said Semi Final, and that is just what we did, got to the Semi Final, but this time we did beat Everton in a competition and we beat them 5-0 which put us through to the Semi final, but Arsenal where to strong for us and we went out. Maybe next year we can go further.?

Season 2​

Overall.. The first season was super I think, and we did very well all season, the team played well, and did me proud, but if we're going to take the team forward, and start winning thing's we'll need players that have the ability to do so, I'm not saying the players we have not don't have the ability cause they do, but we need more players like them. So I decided some new faces where needed. And there was 4.


Josh Harrington - Free - A 17 year old keeper, who has great potential, and could be our number 1 in maybe 3-4 years? And with our current experienced keeper Friedel tutoring him, I'm expecting good thing from him in years to come.

Joe Hart - £2.1 Million - At 23, Joe is still pretty young and is already one of the best in the league I feel, and will push Friedel for the keeper spot. And if there is 2 keepers wanting 1 thing? They will preform better.

Rafael Toloi - £10 Million - A young defender who could be a regular this season, as he has the ability to do so, and being 19 he has time to improve so in years to come this lad i believe can become 1 of the best in the league.

Ognjen Vukojevic - £14.5 Million - 26 Year old DM/CM who will definitely push Sidwell for the 1st team place in the center of the park, I'm sure he can do the job for us this season, and help win the midfield battle, during our games.

August - Will This Be The Year?​

1st games of the new season, and i wanted to see how the new players would do in the league. and I really want to start the season good, and try stay up with the big 4. Let's just see what happens

First game of the season, and despite us winning Portsmouth where the better team over the 90 minutes, and maybe should have had something out of the game, but they where not good enough in-front of goal, and that cost them points.

A very one sided game, we dominated the game from the start and should have had more then 4 goals in the game but, where pretty poor in-front of goal, if we where at our best it could have been 6 or 7 goals, but it was just one of them days.

Like the last game vs Brann, one sided game, we did not dominate as much but still was a comfortable game for us, and 10 goals in 2 game in Europe? Very good i feel. I really think we can win it this year. (A)

An easy game, and a easy 3 points for Man Utd, they where by far the better team i during the game, and should have had more then 3 goal's. And despite the loss, I'm still happy, it's the 1st game we have lost but they are one of the best teams in the world and we'll just pick form back up in the next game.

Overview
A good month I feel, progress in Europe and we won 2 of the 3 league games, and the one we did lose was against a very good United team. You can't really expect to go to United and win. And we got a goal, not many teams go there and get 1.

September - It's Not Looking Good.


After a good first month, I wanted to try and better that this month, I knew we had some tough games but I felt we could win most of the games, or maybe win them all. But with games such as Tottenham & Chelsea, it was going to be hard.

This game was pretty much like the Sunderland game, before hand I was not sure if we would win? Or get anything out of the game due to the fact Spurs are a strong team, who would cause us problems. But we were the better team, and deserved more then 1 point from the game. But like I've said before "1 Point, is better then 0"

It was actually a pretty even game, despite us having the majority of the chances, they had more of the ball then us, and used the ball wall until the final 3rd where they looked shaky and our defense cleaned up. 3 Point's in Europe I'm happy with that. And I'm sure the fans are to.

More then happy with this result, getting a point from Chelsea the league champions has to been a good result, and considering they where at home makes it even better. I must say tho, they where the better team and maybe did deserve to win the game but we held our own, and stopped them. And our defense had a pretty good game.
