January - A New Year
It's now 2011, and we hope this is a good year for the football club on and off the pitch. Only time will tell if it is or not. Last month was a pretty mixed and frustrating month for us, we played 7 game in total and won 3, drew 2 and lost 2, and for a team who wants to push for a top 4 spot? It's just not good enough. Let's hope this month can be better then last.

A tough away game in the Fa Cup saw us take on Blackburn, we knew before the game it would not be easy to beat them, they are a good side who are hard to beat at home. It was looking good for us at the break we went in 2-0 up, and it was looking like we would win the game, but they pulled a goal back and after that went searching for there 2nd. And unfortunately they found it when El-Hadji Diouf scored on the 94th minute to give Blackburn a draw. There will be a replay.

Another away game, this time it was Portsmouth. Before the game we did think it would be a hard away game for us, but if anything? It was relatively easy for us, we where the better team during the game, and also created more chances, and we where much better in the final 3rd this game, in other games that has been the part we lacked but it seemed to have improved over the last 2 game which is a good sign. Let's hope it can stay like that.

Well.. Before the game I'm not sure many people saw this coming, to be honest I never saw this coming. But I have to say I think we did deserve it the game was a pretty fair game overall, but we created some good chances, and kept them from scoring all game, the players all put in a good shift and I think did deserve the win. It's a very good 3 point's for us, which also keeps us on target for a month without a loss...

After a 94th minute game gave Blackburn the draw in the last game, we needed a replay to decide who would proceed into the next round, but there was one difference we where the home team which would make the game slightly easier I think, and it seemed to do the trick. We where by far the better team and controlled the game from start to finish and like we have been most of this month, good in the final 3rd which game us are 4 goals, the win, and we go into the next round.

After such a good start to the new year, we finally lost a game in 2011, and Spurs did deserve it to be fair, they where the better team in the game and played some super stuff, we also had some good chances but lacked that flame in-front of goal which cost us, if we did play better in-front of goal I'm sure we would have got something from the game. But we go home with 0 point's... :'(

Wow.. This is maybe the best game I've seen as Villa manager it was packed full of goals, a injury, and a sending off. Overall the game was pretty even Steven's and both teams created chances, the only problem was both us and them took the chances well and we both scored goals. It was looking like it would end 4-4 but Di Maria got the winner on the 82nd minutes, but after that goal went in? Liverpool went on the attack and slung everything, at every attack but we held on and got a good 3 point's from a very good game.

Another Fa Cup game which ended in a draw, when really we should have won the game with the amount of the ball we had and the amount of chanced we created. It could easily have been 5-0 to us, but from our 16 shot's we got 1 on target and scuffed the rest, which got me angry, but then again they never got a shot on target. Maybe it was just one of them games. Dull.

Blackburn again.. 3rd time in a month, we Drew, Won, and I knew that we would lose this before the game, it just had to happen, and it did. But to be fair maybe they did deserve it and wanted pay-back, as they did look like they really wanted it and tried there best when on the attack, well they had to, we did go 2-0 up and they pulled 3 goals back to ****** 3 point's from us.

Another win against one of the 'Big four' and that is now 3 of them in 1 month, so can't really say anything but a good month can I? But I don't think we deserved the win Chelsea where by far the better team in the game, and created some very good chances, but lucky for us they where poor in-front of goal, and could not finish there chances. Another very good 3 point's for us.
