October - Moving Up.. Slowly

Last month was a rather weird month, we did well against some good teams, Chelsea? And then we lose to Hull? But that's football for you. Anyway we are hoping for a better month this month, and to see if we can move a few places.

An easy 3 points for us here, the games was very much one-sided and Middlesbrough could not do anything to stop us, and it should have been more then 4-0, but we where pretty poor in-front of goal despite is getting 4 goals, we should have had 5 or 6. But 3 more points for us, will raise confidence. And I'm happy.

Again it was another game we controlled and I'm very happy with the performance of the team, but again we where rather poor in the final 3rd, and I'm going to see if I can do something about that. If we where good in-front of goal I'm pretty sure it would have been 4 goal and not just the 1 that we finished with.

A tough away game in Europe, and we knew it was going to be a hard game and it was, both teams where going for it and attacking and at time they looked deadly with the ball but to be fair, both teams where poor in-front of goal, and it was looking like a 1-1 draw, until Carew headed a goal on the 86th minute to give is the win.

A pretty even game I think, and if I had to say who was the better side? I would say us, but Utd where pretty good today, and made some good chances, and maybe should have got something out of the game but our defense where pretty good today, and we where much better in-front of goal, and that is what won us the game.

Argh.. Out of the League Cup again! And we where the better team during the game I feel and we did deserve to go through, but Corluka scored a late goal to give Spurs the win. Looks like we'll just have to wait another year and see if we can win it. Have to focus on the Fa Cup.

Overall I'd say this was a fair result, as both teams played some good football, created some good chances, and we both had roughly the same amount of the ball. It was a 50/50 game, and 1 point is fair for both teams.

November - Keeping Up With The Big Boy's

Last month was a good month for us I feel, we had some pretty tough games but after the month we had jumped 2 places in the league which I felt was good. And we where sitting top of our Europa League group and it was looking good for us, as we want to finish top of the group. I just hope we can do as-well during this month as we did last, and there is some tough game so it'll be hard to do so. But I'm confident we can.

Goal - John Carew

Aha.. I was pretty upset after this result, Napoli where sitting 2nd in the group and they have gained 3 points on us, and if we are to win the group? We can't be losing these games this. But there is games left in the group so if we can win them we'll finish top of the group. And I'll be more then happy with that.

Another 3 point's in the league, and I'm happy with the performance we put in. Birmingham where around and about the bottom of the table, and would welcome any point's, so I knew they would be trying there best to get something from the game, and they did just that, they where attacking most of the game and did look deadly at times. It did look like they would get a point from the game, but Djalo grabbed a goal in the 92 minute to give is the win, and the 3 point's.

I'm happy with this result at home, rich boy's City have some good players in there team, and where above us in the league so we knew it was going to be a tough game, and it was but if anything? We where the better team in the game I feel, and we should maybe have won the game if you look at the chances we created. But a point is a good result against a team like City.

Well.. I'm not sure many people where expecting this? It may have sound real before the game if you said 'Villa Would Win' If we where at home, but away to Arsenal and getting 3 point's? It's great if you ask me. Shows the club has moved in the right direction. Despite us winning? Arsenal where by far the better team during the game, and they created bag's of chances and should have had 7 or 8 goals in the game but on some cases our defense was just to good, and they where pretty poor in-front of goal. Still happy with the 3 point's.

Last game in the month, and we had not lost a league game this month, and I did not want to lose one now, and we never looked like losing during the game. We where by far the better team during the game and created some good chances, and should have had more goals but we won the game, and that is all that really matters at the end of the day, but I'm working hard on sorting out the situation in-front of goal.

Good to see the match reports are a bit longer, makes for better reading, layout is good as always, a good story you got going here, shame you beat Arsenal though :@

Jordan Spence

View attachment 55281View attachment 55285

It was announced today that Martin Laursen has signed the 20 year old center-back Jordan Spence from West Ham United, for a free believe to be around the £7 Million mark, some see this as a risky move, and that Laursen overpaid for the young lad, but Martin had this to see just after the signing had been announced.

"I think this could turn out to be one of the best deals in the premier league, yes he is 20 and has not had the best career but I'm 100% Sure that with some match practice, the right training, and some good experienced players to follow? He could become one of the best center-back's in the league"

Spence will not join The Villans until the 1st January, as the transfer window is closed.

im loving this story, danny. looking forward to your next update and do let me know if rafael toloi's any good cos im thinking of trying him as well :D

Thank.

Yeah, I'll let you know. He's been pretty good this season, played 21 games so far and has a rating of 6.75 which I think is rather good. And his stats have gone up a little. :)

December - It's Christmas Time, But Will The Point's Be Mine?

Last month was a good month for the club, we had some tough game's during the month, and we got some very good result's in some of the game, and we ended up being 5th in the league after the last game, and I felt it was a good month, and what made it even better? We manged to get 4 point's from 2 games. Arsenal away ( Away Win ) And Man City ( Home Draw ) So thing's where looking good for us.

Win this game? And we qualified, and yes we won. And it's good that we have won, but we need to win our next game against Rangers if we are to win the group, and I do believe we can win that game, so I'm pretty sure we'll win the group. The game? We where by far the better team and deserved the win, it could have been 4-0 however James Milner missed a penalty on the 21st minute.

Another 3 point's in the league, and It's 3 point's away from home which is always good, and during the game we where the better team, we created more chances, had more of the ball, and when we did have the ball? We used it better then Bolton did, Bolton did play some good football, and there goal's where good but for most of there chances they where pretty poor in-front of goal.

A loss of 3 point's which should have been ours, we where the better team in the game I don't care what anyone says, the only thing we lacked was fire in-front of goal with the 14 chances we did create we only managed to get 5 on-target when we should have had more. But things like this happen in football, and we just have to rise above it and try come back next game.

We had already qualified for the knockout stages, but we wanted to win the group, cause as my Grandad once said '2 May be a bigger number, but 1 is most certainly better' and It's true so we wanted 1st, and we got it. A easy win in the end we controlled the game and we look forward to the next round.

Goal - Gabby Agbonlahor

Christmas spirit got to the lad's? Seems so after this game we I feel where the better team during the game, but I'm not sure how? We played some awful football and with most of our chances we got lucky they even went on target. And on the 31st minutes we went down to 10 men when Vukojevic got sent-off for a straight red-card for a hard tackle. And that made the game harder for us, if anything Wolves should have won the game.

Another 2 point's lost, And again we where the better team in the game and should have won the game but we where poor in-front of goal AGAIN and it's costing us game, so I'm going to have to do some more work into trying to sort this out. But it will be tough, maybe a new face is needed up-front.?

Yet again.. More point's lost when yet again, we should have won the game, we where by far the better team over the 90 minutes and should have had around 3-4 goals in the game, but our finishing was poor, again. I'm not really sure what I can do now. I new striker sounds like the best thing.

Nice update Danny, loving the layout ^^)

Ill follow yours because you followed mine, some good results here so far, would be good to keep doing well in the europa league

Hey this is a great read, some unlucky results against poorer opposition and great ones against the big teams but hey your playing as Villa :).

Also how is agbonlahor such a consistent goal scorer?! I only occasionaly get decent performances out of him with my cardozo partnership, anyway good luck!
