However, one piece of news I've been excited about is the signing of midfielder Patrick Crooks. We agreed this last season but had to wait until he turned 18 and boy does he look like a prospect.

My favorite story, John. Thanks for the updates. What tactic do you use?! Apologies if you've already linked/discussed it.

Congrats again mate, looking forward to seeing how things progress this year as the fixtures get harder but some good preseason results.

When will people realise that you leave Warrington at your peril! Jordan Stevens is a mug, has he got other clubs interested in him?

Thanks! Means a lot to see comments like that! I have a couple that I use. 4-1-3-2, 4-4-2 and a 5-3-2, though these have varied based on latest match engines. Which one I use depends on the opposition I'm up against

We ended last season with a victory against AFC Wimbledon and we repeated the result on the opening day this season. Jake Scrimshaw and Luke Wood picked up from where they left off last season, scoring a goal apiece in a 2-0 win.

Sunday 6th August

The club confirms that our final season ticket sales figure is 1,366, over double our figure from last season which was 613.

We know this season isn't going to be easy and this was our first real test. Just to be playing at a stadium like Charlton's is incredible. The lads can take a lot of heart from the way they played at The Valley, as they were more than a match for Charlton for long periods of the game.

We start the month with a very pleasing win over Sunderland at Hilton Park, with Zach Clough scoring both goals. A thoroughly professional performance.

All we wanted from this game was respectability. The lads worked their socks off and kept it to 2-0, which is a monumental achievement against such a quality side. I'm so proud of them.

This was 3rd vs 1st so a massive game for us at the top of the table. I'll admit, we rode our luck, but I'm delighted that we managed to pick up all three points.

Job done, an easy three points. However, the win came at a price as Robson Shipley was stretchered off near the end.

Robson Shipley ruled out for 6 months with a broken ankle.

With ten minutes to go, I thought a rubbish result was going to ruin my birthday. Enter Zach Clough and Liam Shephard who turned the game on its head, secured us all three points and left me celebrating my birthday in style. Get in there!

Saturday 30th March

Once again our youth intake arrives with no standout candidates. We really need to upgrade our facilities.

A Zach Clough hat-trick sees us end the month with a superb 4-1 win at home against Bristol Rovers. That's six consecutive league wins now, just when we needed them the most.

How good does that table look? With five games to go, it looks like we're on the verge of an incredible promotion to the Championship. Can we win the league title though? That would be the icing on the cake.
