I expected to win this game against a team that are expected to struggle in the league this season but we did not convert enough of our chances. We had the better of the play but once again could not finish off the job.
Although this was an away match, I did expect us to get a point at Aldershot. This was not to be as they were the better team and deserved their victory.
I am very happy with finally getting another win in the league. We converted more of our chances than our opponents in a pretty even game which could of gone either way. Hopefully this will get the fans off our backs.
This was always going to be a tough game away at Sven's Notts County. Even though we lost this game I am proud of the lads performance as they did not lie down and we will improve our position with more displays like that.
After the encouraging performance in Nottingham, this match was awful. Neither team produced much and it was looking to be a bore draw when our defence fell apart late in the game and Accrington stole the game.
Daniel Oakes' Vale side are lying in 20th place in Coca Cola League Two.
I am very disappointed with our nperformance in the first two months. However, we have not been taking our chances and we have played far better than the results have shown. I will be looking further into the loan market to add some depth to our midfield and hope that it can maybe turn our results down. If this team gets relegated, I deserve to be sacked!

Oakes swoops to pick up another loan signing
Daniel Oakes today has confirmed the loan signing of exciting Liverpool attacking midfielder Daniel Pacheco until the end of the season. This is what Pacheco said about his new club. ''I am very pleased to come here and be a part of Daniel Oakes' plans and I will do my best to break into the first team and show Rafa why I should be playing premiership football. I am very excited to get first team football and I aim to help Daniel taking this club to new heights''. This is what Oakes had to say in reply,''I am absolutely ecstatic to bring a player of Daniels class into the club, I believe he will be a great player for us and will turn our position around''.
Daniel Oakes was in danger of losing his job this week as supporters were phoning into BBC Radio Stoke atating that they wanted him out. Lets see how he rose to the pressure.
Well in the first few months it has been one step forward and two steps back and it proved so again when we put up an awful display and because of it were knocked out of the Johnstones Paint trophy.
Back to the league and I received a message in my inbox that stated that my job could depend on this game so I told the boys to come out firing against our local rivals. They duly delivered and outclassed Crewe in a comfortable victory.
I am bitterly disappointed with this result. We went into the second half with a two goal lead and looking comfortable but we fell apart in the second half and only just managed to hold on for a draw.
I am very happy with this win over high flying Dagenham. We were second best for much of the game but put in a gritty performance to come out with a vital victory.
After my four months in charge of the club I am disappointed with the clubs league position. However it looks a lot rosier than it did last month and it looks like the loan signing of Pacheco was a brilliant move as he has wowed us over the last few weeks. I hope his form continues.
Daniel Oakes today completed a swoop for former Manchester United youngster Michael Nardiello on a free transfer. He stated that he was delighted to confirm Nardiellos signature as Subotic was returning to Portsmouth in a week and as he is only twenty years old and will be a great player for us.
