Benfica have always been a bogey team for me throughout this years FM and they were no different today as Cardozo grabs a brace his 10 and 11 goals in the Champions League and 32nd and 33rd goals already this season!

An amazing win away from home just as it looks like my tired side will have to play another 30 minutes of football, Giroud pops up with the winner as we go through to the next round to face Man City with Man Utd v Juventus the other Semi Final.

I had to play some of the second string with the first team players in need of a rest and with our good points advantage over Chelsea had to pretty much sacrifice this game.

After we scored the openere they powered 3 goals in before half time with our only saving grace Lamela's goal which will give us some hope in the second leg.

After the early Varane goal i thought things looked promising but from then onwards we struggled to find the net, Papadopoulos got sent off in frustration late on and to be honest i cant blame him, This result has set up an all Manchester Final with Man Utd beating Juventus in the other Semi.
