I've been trying it with Sporting CP and I'm struggling in away games with lower teams of portuguese league..
I'm using Combo 2 and even changing the mentality during the game can't win
 
Going to start with Chelsea in a new game (The team that hammered us last night :() will post results up within next day.

Sorry to hear that mate,

To figure things out, please change to Full match and see how your team is struggling? Then you may try this:

-If your player received the ball, then all the time he is closed down and lost it, please decrease the Strategy (even to Contain, if needed). Remove Hold up the ball from CMs, and reduce Run with the ball of two Wingers. You may want to remove Target man in Team Instruction if your striker cannot keep the ball well.
- If your direct ball keep losing. When defenders kick ball foward, it cannot reach your attackers, and intercepted all the time, switch to 3Combo/Standard.

Try this and keep me posted mate. Scroll this thread back a few pages and you will see my post on Struggling matches.

And how quick is your attackers Hope your team gets well soon!

How is your results so far Lewisj23? I remember you start trying my tactics about 1 week ago, but I wait long here for your feedback :S
 
My own personal feedback
it worked fine with my 3,4th Southampton season, winning the league once

i tried it again with my Leeds game terrible.. 12th in the league, creating poor chances, and goals
Got the worst season from any tatics from this site(Leeds was my third championship team on fm2013)
Results was based on the previous version

As the tatic was made for Man U, I think it gets good results for good enough teams but not for poor teams
 
For my good Livepool side in 2016 it is amazing. I have had 7-0, 8-0 and 9-0 victories this season and its mid November. Only one loss which was away to Arsenal and they scored two late on. Best tactic on new patch

Thanks for your feedback South. Maybe it's true mate.

I'm gonna test them on Molde so we will see. However as I said, attackers are better be fast.

Can you provide me information on Who you got as 11 first team players?

My friend from the other forum tells me to try "Hold up ball" for Wingers and Poacher on 13.2. Test this right now.

I think you should reduce Run with ball for wingers an
Poacher, reduce mentality of your CBs and CMs for 1-2knots. Hope that works for your Leed.

in portugal, the difference between sporting, benfica, porto and braga and the other league teams is quite big, so you can probably get away with playing the combo1 in those matches away. how does it fare against the bigger clubs? probably better than against the smaller ones.

Is this issue also considerred when facing these clubs in Euro competitions?

Edit: ok. Now I get your point. Anyway I am thinking about updated 2Combo with more attacking approach. Like: Average passing. Increase Run from deep for AMCs and FBs. What do you guys think?

So I've not even done much in the transfer market. I just played Videton, first time qualifier from Hungary, away in the Champions League and had 39 shots, 21 on target and won 9-0.

With Liverpool in the Premiership Im having over 15 shots in every home game so far, and even more against the lesser teams. Those games are over 20 with 5-8 CCC's in each game. Away I use 3 for most games and 2 for the big sides, but I need to make some changes to 2 for the big away games as it is a bit hit and miss. At home I use 3 or 1 and both are as good as each other. I'll post some screens of my results.

BTW Vietnam is such an amazing country, where do you live?

I lost interest in my Man City game but results were stunning won every game out of 40 in the season apart from drew 1-1 against Barcelona away.

My results with Chelsea are brilliant so far too however I'm only through 10 games so will post screenshot at some point tonight.

Hi Bernardo,

If you play against Paços away you would expect them to attack from the 1st minute? No!
Sometimes you need to tease them, make them attack, and they will do that if you score. For them, a drw is good, so you need to use combo 3 or 1, score one goal and look at the screen. If you still dominate keep until you score one more. If you are not dominating or you score another goal, then you change to combo 2. They will start attacking and you will sue the counter to score one or two more.

Hi guys,

Let's first cheer for all of our hard working on Combo tactic recently.

I have just finished 2nd season with Man Utd today. Even in injury crisis, we worked it well to second time winning of Premier League, but again, miss the Champion League in a regretful way, even the players have been very brave.

However, just let's you know that we now have in hands a totally branch new of 2Combo! It works now very well in my save, no more worry about lacks of chances on the break!

I'm going to class right now, so let's be here again a couple hours later! Cheers!
