Like OP. 1Combo starting. About 60' I change to 3Combo/ Counter

Oh, and I have posted Combo tactics in another FM forum (Vietnamese forum which in my mother tongue language). One guy there gives me some advices on 2Combo, which improve attacking aspect of the tactic:

"strategy: counter
team: crossing float crosses, focus passing down both flanks, target man supply to feet
wingers and striker pace>16
This way makes my MR and ST, Chamberlain and Walcott much more effective, both are in the top-11-players in UCL"

via viettn1104 (using Arsenal)

I have not tested this on new patch, but seemed to be good on 13.1.3

I'm with United and i have Chamberlain and Walcott, but i play Chamberlain as MC or AMC and Walcott as MR/AMR.

So, you only have testes 1 and 3 with the new patch, not 2, right?

My main concern is away (sometimes home too) games against similar/stronger sides. If things work good with this type of games, the others will be easier to pass.

Well yeah, 2Combo has not been test on new patch. But I think the games you mentioned are always tight tbh. But, well, try my best to produce new 2Combo soon. Cheer!

This tactic keeps delivering for me, its great! Its a basic tactic but with the right managment it works wonders!

For home games i almost allways use COMBO 3 with overload, to run over the oponent, for away games i use COMBO 2, normally players get low ratings but i allways keep a clean sheet and normally manage to score a goal or two. I tend to switch between all three COMBO tactics alot, even during games, too confuse oposition and to avoid the tactics to become familiar to the other teams, seems too work.

I find that with Manchester United, as the board demands, you have too attack! Therefore i allways keep general training on Attacking-average too high, and match prep. i change between defensive set pieces and defensive positioning, but for easy home games i also use attacking movement. I let my assistent do the OI for hard games, he has 20 tactical knowledge but normally i dont use any OI at all.

With two fast wingers and a fast poacher the tactic is unstoppable! Cant recomend this tactic high enough!

* at times the team has performed less great ive tested other tactics like Raikan AMC, TBH`s narrow 4-1-2-1-2 and also the Bilbao 4-1-2-1-2 tactic that won the competition but they dont come close. This tactic seems much more consistant.

I am now trying to update the Combo tactic pack soon. After finishing this second season with Man Utd, I will test Combo on Molde

I have tested the Combo 2 m8, and with some tweaks, works like a charm!

I have putted the striker as TM, receiving the ball in "pass to feet"
the shouts from the beginning is always use the flanks, or something like this, as your friend said.
This is in addition to the other tweaks that i have made. I have dropped the other combos, since i was not getting what i needed, but this is my away/big games tactic and it works!

If you want, i can post my tweaked version for you to test.

We score like for fun. Even 2Combo. Goals come from every positions. I will go on to see what happen.

Update: continue leading the league after 6-0 win over Sunderland (second half I use 2Combo, after leading 3-0, and we score 3 more goals). Win Home match 6-2 over Real Madrid. But no guarantee what will happen in Bernabeu so I expect nothing.

High mate been looking through thread am thinking of starting new save with united after patch killed tactic i was using. Do i just follow instructions off op?

Sorry mate to ask most probably stupid question, but do you use all 3 or combo 1 home combo 2 away etc?

Yes I do. Since I posted the thread, all three of them are essential for my squad. 1Combo will provide most of goals, but 2Combo and 3Combo are the ones grab you a win. I will put on screenshots from my Real Madrid clashes in minutes. There I have used all of them.

However there are some testers using just 1 or 2 of them (as they shared during this topic). Not sure they have any additional tactics for themselves or not, but just want to say that you are free to use them as you like mate!
 
So I begin updating progress on 13.2 patch with Real Madrid clashes

Home: 1Combo start. After about 30m I switch to 3Combo/ defensive. After the score line is 5-2, I switch to 1Combo again, hoping for more goals (really upset because we have conceded twice at Home)

Away: 2Combo/ Defensive start. After that, 2Combo/ Contain. Shout: stand off, stand on feet. OI: Tight mark always on Ronaldo. Don't really understand what happened. Madrid keeps shooting but ball went over the bar, or directed into De gea's hands. Ronaldo even missed one penalty. I guess my team is really lucky that day. However we cannot keep clean sheet when Ronaldo score a header in 89m.

P/S: I was so anxious watching these games. So many chances are created and the games are very dramatic. So I have viewed both on Full time from the beginning to the end!
