I've been using it with the new patch and it's still working for me.

Their is a couple of things that could be changed but it depends on which team you're using.

If you haven't got a ball-winning midfielder in your team drop the cm to dm.

I used this with Leeds and it started really awful, couldn't get a win over anyone. But after a while as familiarly went up it became good and I just beat a team 6-0 with 60%+ possession every match.

It tends to do that depending on which team you pick, sometimes it starts of awesome, other times it takes about 10-15 games.
Thing is some people have no patience and expect instant success, glad you give it a go mate.
