The Croatia star has been strongly linked with a move Manchester United as the Premier League champions seek a replacement for Paul Scholes.
But Modric's advisor, Mario Mamic, doubts that the ex-Dinamo Zagreb player will move to Old Trafford.

Mamic's father Zdravko is vice-president at Dinamo and believes United may have to top the club-record £30.75million they paid for Dimitar Berbatov in order to land Modric.

"I heard that somebody has offered £20m pounds for Luka but that's crazy," he added.

"When we talk about Modric, that price would only be enough to buy peanuts."

That settled it, Isn't it.. Agents and football players are as honest as they come and will stick to their word. I have seen Torres saying he wont leave Liverpool for any other english club in Jan and ended up at Chelsea.

Not comparing both players, but no player or agent says he is leaving.

Luka wont be going for at least 40m. We only sold Berbatov for 30m because he had 2 years left on his contract and was going to run it down and his price was only going to decrease. Modric has 5 years left. We're in the driving seat. You wont get him for less than 40m.

are you completely disregarding this to make yourself feel better. can't you understand they are interested, and if the right bid comes in, as with any player, you will sell him.
 
Heard the Chels are trying to bring in Hiddink with Sneijder??? Now that would be intresting indeed.
 
I personally wouldn't sell him for less than £35m, but it is difficult to read the minds of chairman these days. I think that would be a fair deal for both parties though. Spurs have decent cover (although obviously not at Luka's standard) and could utilise the money elsewhere.

Why would an agent say that his client is not moving?

Agents want to make money and they do that buy getting transfer fee's so normally an agent will try to ruffle up interest in the player, so why would he try to put an end to the interest? Maybe because Modric doesnt want to leave, or maybe because we dont want to sell him?

or Maybe the Agent doesnt want to **** of spurs, as it is well known Utd have other targets, and miht go for WS instead of Luka, So in public he is backing the current club, but privately he might be telling utd reps, that Luka is interested...

Saying Modric wants to leave will lower his value? Maybe..

I'm not saying we will definitely sign Modric, but player is not for sale is all bs. Every player has a price when club comes up with an offer, selling club do listen to the offers.

Now Agent said Modric will not leave and Spurs said he is not for sale, but if club like Madrid comes with big bid, do you think Spurs will say no to it?

Ye we wont be letting Johno or Dann go for much less than 10 if not above, the board said they are standing strong on deals.

Ridgewell and Gardner wont be leaving Blues regardless of bids!

and i will personally drive Jerome to which ever club he wants to go, but once again i think we wont accept less than 6 for him.

if people want our players, apparently it will cost them!
