Well, it was unlikely that Arsenal would splash out so much for him, same for Spurs unless they were to offload Luka or Bale and then Chelsea have just signed Marin so I thought that was the end of their interest in him. So yeah, I'm not surprised his confirmed he'll be playing in Manchester next season...he'll probably make the wrong choice and go to City; but it would be nice to see him move to United where he'll walk into a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Yeah.. Why would he want to play for the league champions, eh!? oO)

If City do sign Hazard which is likely surely Adam Johnson has got to leave for the sake of his career. He is a talented player but surely trying to compete with the likes of Hazard, Silva, Nasri etc etc is a step too far for him. Would have him at Chelsea any day of the week.

Don't think there's a need for him to leave. Provides great use in the big games.

Nasri? Seriously? He will be a starter along with Silva and Aguero without a problem. And yes, compared to the wages Man City give, its peanuts. United cant compete with Man City when it comes to money.

With the way Nasri was playing in the last few games, I doubt Hazard would be a starter. Also it would be kind of silly for Mancini to have wasted £25million on a player he would just replace a year later with a £35million or so player.
Just because we haven't had to convince players with £150k+ a week to play for us, doesn't mean we can't compete with City. We might have to start offering player bigger wages now that City have become a threat though, which with United revenue won't be much of a problem.

I hope James Milner takes that cue to leave as well.

Don't see why he should leave because of that. He's essentially their Park. In Milner's case, he gets paid truckloads to sit on the bench and occasionally track a full-back very closely.

Of course you would...

From an England fan's perspective I'd rather see him play week in week out than rot on the bench and taking bath's in cash.

What's that supposed to mean?

I like Jimmy a lot, he's a handy player, but for a top club nothing more really. Like Park, he's an excellently versatile and intelligent player, invaluable in big games, but lacking the quality or 'X Factor' to start regularly. What you want matters not a jot; the fact is he's far more likely to accept a bit-part role at the league champions, a team who are going places, than to drop back down to a team like Stoke or someone.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but I reckon this will be the season Wesley Sneider moves. No champs league for inter!

Villareal players also a target and won't be surprised to see a few newcastle players being targetted. In France Montpellier will be a victim of their own success and have their players headhunted - Giroud, Ait Fana and Belhanda the biggest targets.

Its going to be transfer crazy this summer plus the euros to whet clubs appetites!

Not sure if you've seen Park recently, but he's awful now.

Much like Giggs, who I hear is continuing for yet another year. Deary me.

Still, I think Hazard might make the move to United. There's far more of a battle for him to cement a place in that City midfield whereas he'll near enough walk into the United XI.

Right, but you can't deny that he's been effective at what he did over the course of his United career. Milner's only, what, 26ish, so he's got plenty of time before he reaches Park's age and begins to decline.

Oh agreed. He has scored plenty of vital goals in his career. I just wouldn't compare Milner to Park as I believe the former to possess more ability, and although both players' best attribute is (was?) their work rate, Milner has more technical ability than Park ever did.

Milner is certainly more gifted than Park, though the latter is no clunker. Best days are behind him, has been terrible this season. Lost 8 out of the 10 games he started in the middle.

That's what I'm hoping for. That he's smart enough to realize that he'll walk into the United team and have the freedom to play basically anywhere he wants. But I have a feeling the Man City money will be motivation enough for him to go to City.

United will still be able to offer him 100,000 - 120,000 per week wages or so, perhaps even higher given they'll be wanting to one-up City.

He'll not be a pauper whichever colour he ends up in, just wish he didn't come across as such an egomaniac with his constant Twitter feed about where he's having his next meal, Trafford or Moss Side, and which side of Greater Manchester he's getting his hair cut next week.

Certainly. I wasn't necessarily comparing the two of them directly, rather on the jobs they do for their team. Since that one season for Villa in which he was a creative spearhead, Milner's been used as a slot-in hard worker designed to nullify an opposition player (when used on the wings) or as a shuttling link-man (in the centre). You can draw parallels in this sense with Park, who is (or was, at least) Ferguson's go-to man when he needs someone to simply run a lot and work for the benefit of the team.

Does he really do that? Cause that sounds like something Balotelli would do. And City really don't need another one.

What do you think, will Giuseppe Rossi play in Segunda next season?

Meh, cant see that happening. Unless he's willing to play his heart out for the club, a bit like how del pireo did with juventus in serie b.

And he's had loads of injuries too, i could see him leave the club soon.

He's pimped himself out to everyone. Apparently he loves madrid, arsenal, city, spurs and united all equally.

Nigel Reo-Coker has activated his Relegation release clause, and has left Bolton. Would be a good squad player for most of the PL.
