So folks, are we happy?

I'm glad some of you have had good results.

Best tactic I have seen so far for 14.2.1 Thanks for your work on it Chrissy Dude much appreciated.

Has anyone tried with a team such as Crystal Palace? Results? I'm curious.

Edit: 14.2.1 not 14.1.2 :)

Thanks dude. Sometimes this banter can drive me up the wall. You guys have no idea how much time I spend on these frigging tactics.

Thank god have no *** life to distract me.

Just starting to use this tactic in my new season and have got the team fluid with it but having a few problems with the defence running off on me think it is more to do with my **** defenders though. Going forward it seems very promising. Cheers for the hard work.

with this tac u will probably lost some goals/even games after quick counters and ball over heads of ur defenders, u can't avoid it with pressing play, but generally everything working fantastic.

what u need is for sure:
goalkeeper - he needs to have good kicking and throwing (it's ME issue with stupid mistakes in this area, so that's the solution for it)
speed defenders - that's one of important things. +some good passing attribute, i lost some goals even games, cos my defenders made stupid pass to opponent.
fullbacks - good in def, but crossings would be big plus for them also.
central midfielders - good stamina and defending overall, they pressing and tackling a lot on AI's players.
wingers - that's the key i think, cos lot of goals is after crosses. so for sure crossing, good dribbling would be nice + some technique. speed is always a big advetange, to every player.
strikers. they are defensive in roles, but u don't need good striker with tackling, u need universal striker, i would say complet forward. good first touch, heading, finishing, good physical attributes.

if u have players like that this tactic gonna be a killer.

Hello

very impressive

what is your traing and match prep??

Pre-Season
- Individual training is high intensity on specialist role (BWM, Winger, Defensive Forward etc for each player)
- General training is set to high intensity 'Team Cohesion' with Match Prep 'Tactics Only' (30% match preperation). No rest before or after matches.

During Season
- Individual training is high intensity on specialist role (BWM, Winger, Defensive Forward etc for each player)
- General training is set to low intensity 'Balanced' with Match preperation set to 'Teamwork' as standard but changing to Att Movement, Def Positioning based on opposition sometimes too. (20% match preperation focus). Rest before matches and rest after matches.

Also with the tactic you have to move the defensive line based on opposition. And be ready to move the mentality from 'attacking' to 'control' during a match if you are a couple of goals ahead, otherwise the bigger teams can make a miracle comeback.

It is generally better to play 'push higher up' against big teams and 'drop deeper' against small teams. In my experience it is a bad idea to use 'drop deeper' in rainy conditions or in derby matches even if you are the favourite.

Good luck hope that helps :)

oh yeah, i almost throw my laptop through the window couple of times cos of this..

playing with guingamp, second season....i must say,i have a lot of chances but so do they...every ****** striker in the opposition score at least 2 goals against my team...every stupid striker will improve his scoring rate against me... conceding 2-3 goals in the first half, especially in the first 15 minutes...if i make it 3-3 in the 80 minute,in the '81 minute it's 4-3...for them,of course...i don't know how they managed to **** this Fm up but they did it...i don't enjoy FM anymore, they made it impossible...my results so far:5-6 with steaua,1-3 with inter,1-2 monaco(french league cup final),4-3 le havre,3-4 inter,3-2 nancy,2-4 bordeaux,1-2 auxerre(a relegated team)2-4 psg,0-2 lille...my formation is fluid btw...will continue with this until the end of the season but it's not looking good...i forgot to mention that i play without the offside trap and much higher defense line...sorry for my english...

Love this tactic. I'm in 2018 and my season so far:

The league..16 (SIXTEEN) points clear with a game in hand!:

But my team is quite good (now):

I start with this tactic. I "assertively" tell the team I expect better at HT if it is only 1 or 2-0. Once I get to 2 or 3 nil I change to control or counter - depending on how good the opposition are. If I go a goal down and don't look like scoring.. I take it that the tactic simply won't work against this opposition and switch to "Rennes 1 Test 2" which is a tactic by W4NKER on the "I think I found something" thread, which is a 4-1-1-3-1 tactic which scores a lot from corners.

edit: won the game in hand so I'm now 19 points ahead.

Hi Chrissy,

I know this is your latest tactic, but you release this and your previous tactic in quick succession. My question is, which of the two tactics (this and the 442 success at all levels tactic) is the best for top teams?

Also, welcome back to fm base! SI tactics sharing center is rather dead these days, your tactics were becoming the only reason i ventured there!

will it hurt the tactic if i changed one of the striker and cm roles? such as one cm (deep ball player) and striker to Advanced or poacher?
