What do you guys think the reason behind this is? Do you think it's money based/experienced based/club reputation? Something written in the game to make managers make these sort of moves?

Chairman who don't have a clue about football :P

I once went from Brighton in the Championship to Gateshead in the BSN out of pure boredom.

i dont see anything as unusual as what you have all seen
in my games Guadiorla usually takes the spain job and then wenger takes over at barca. then mancini joins arsenal.
city usually get managed by some foreigner

tony pulis is the engand manager and hodgson the stoke manager

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes the game throws up unrealistic manager changes?

In mine I've had two notable ones recently. Firstly Wenger moved from Arsenal to Porto. In real life Wenger would never make a move like that. And Porto are 12th and Arsenal 5th. It doesn't make any sense.

Then we've got Steve Cotterill leaving Portsmouth in 15th in the Championship to join Sheffield United who were 22nd when he took over!

How does this work?

So now we have Mancini managing Arsenal, Redknapp managing Man City and Shearer managing Spurs!

that pattern happens loads in my saves too...remember once wenger left arsenal for valencia when arsenal were top of the league and valencia were 8th in the spanish league. mancini always seem to get the arsenal job after that then redknap at the age of 78 or something takes over city. at times im so tempted not to load the EPL just to see what happens then haha!

weirdest i've seen is wenger sacked then goes to villa, moyes to arsenal, flores to city and pearce promoted to england after capello retired in 2012 after finishing bottom of the group in the euro's despite being ranked number 1 by fifa.

I'll be honest, I was surprised when Avram Grant went to Portsmouth and subsequently West Ham.

But in my Hearts game he truly moved himself out of the big leagues and went to Kilmarnock (previously managed by Gordon Strachan). Sure, they got a big takeover and are rich as ****, but Avram - c'mon.

Anyone else noticed the creation of an England U20's team? I've just noticed it on a game I've just started and guess who gets the job?

Mr Gareth Southgate. I wonder if this is a reflection of his new role in youth development?

And Avram seems to be going a lot of places. None of which we'd have thought "big" enough clubs for him. With the exception of United of course. How's he getting on there lol?

on my save today mancini was sacked by city and then wenger took the job then mancini was hired as the arsenal manager

Ramires and Salomon Kalou joined Hoffenheim in my Duisburg game :D

Hertha BSC is also failling and is an average club in the Bundesliga 2, by being on the 8th. Hertha should be one of the clubs, that almost should be sure to move up in the first season. I don't understand how Tottenham manages to win the first season in PML.

That's been reported to have happened quite often, including on one of my saves.

Awfully silly.

Shearer always goes to Blackburn!

Lee Clark is England manager on my 2020 save.

shearer always goes to blackburn carlo ancellotti always goes to man city

mike phelna always goes to england

gary neville always to wolves

Gary Neville was Swansea Manager on mine.

Our beloved Mick McCarthy left Wolves to join West Ham on to Liverpool then to Man City rerplacing Rafa Benitez who you guessed it went back to Anfield.

Neil McDonald is Man United manager and Tony Mowbray England manager.

It seems these are quite common occurrences. But some are ridiculous like the Mancini/Wenger saga above. It surprises me how many strange manager decisions there are.

Shearer to Blackburn I guess could be understandable but going straight to Spurs in my save was shocking.

In my 4th Season
Aguirre - Man City, Chelsea and now Man Utd... if you failed at City and Chelsea, why would Utd hire you?
Shearer - was at Blackburn, which is realistic, but he is currently at Man City, to replace Harry Redknapp, who replaced Aguirre, who replaced Mancini!
Mancini - Currently at arsenal, after being sacked by City
Brian Laudrup - went from mallorca to chelsea
Arsene Wenger - Sacked by Arsenal, then managing Barca
Gary Neville - He's at Hull on mine, although he does have some decent stats.

Oh... and Carlo Ancelotti is the England manager
