great read :)!

just need to sort out the defence! your conceding afew when you win try and get that sorted :P

my suggestion ;

sergiy kryvtsov <- hes only 18/19 his stats are amazin!

his marking is 19
positioning is 13
tackling is 14

+ jumping 18 and heading 19

class act will sort your defence out :P

Thanks for all the contributions lads; this is only going to help me in my La Liga net game ;)

thanks to everyone that commented, hearing good comments is what makes me want to continue it :)

and yeah the defense is ****** awful and marchena wants to leave, i desperately need a right back but people are just asking for too much money, but ive been given a ver generous budget for this year.

Pablo Hernandez and Joaquin are my right wingers but both are quite inconsistent. So i mite look into the market and try to ship off joaquin

just letting you guys know that the pre-season report will be up in a few minutes

2010/2011 Season

August
“We did really well last season and the only thing stopping us from the La Liga title was just a little bit of experience and a bit more strength in depth. The board have given me a very handsome budget and we are going to try and find the best players possible for this club but I do feel that we don’t need to buy a silly amount of players and we are not going to spend silly money.”

Transfer Ins & Outs

NOTE: Most signings made with instalments over 48 months.

“I feel we’ve brought a lot of quality to the squad, Eduardo Salvio, Jack WIlshere, Rafael all have fantastic futures ahead of them and I feel they can add vibrance and youth to the squad along with the signings of Ballack and Deco I really feel we can challenge this year. Quite a few of the signings will go on load or play in the under 19s for a while. I don’t think we needed another striker when Mata can play there and we have Nikola (Zigic)

As for the players going I feel it was in the best interests for the players and the club, and I know I upset fans by selling David Navarro, Vicente and so on but they were not getting played enough and I don’t feel it would have been fair to let them stay. Maduro, Joaquin, Bruno have all left on load with future fees, and Chris Wood has been loaned out for first team experience which we will be monitoring because I think he’s a real talent.”

“I feel the squad is a lot stronger than last year, we have trimmed all the excess areas and have added with young talented players along with players of vast experience, our midfield and attack can cause any team problems in my opinion, and this year we are out to prove we can bring the title back to Valencia.”

Key Men

David Villa
The hit man scored an unbelievable 69 goals in 59 appearances last term and is obviously crucial to our team, he is widely considered to be the best front man in the world after last season and it seems he is untameable.

View attachment 15454

David Silva
The midfield maestro created 24 goals last season and is the key in the midfield. Silva will pull all the strings during a game and can really demolish a team if allowed the space. His shock omission from the Spanish national team for the World Cup is only sure to spur him on.

Juan Manuel Mata
After establishing himself as first choice left winger ahead of Vicente and Antonino Barilla, Mata has gone on to wow fans, managers and pundits alike. His electrifying pace and agility in cohesion with his immense trickery and skill makes Mata a very daunting prospect for any defender. He was subject to TWO Real Madrid bids during the summer, they were turned down immediately.

Nikolas Otamendi
Somewhat a surprise addition to the list but the Argentina international has quickly established himself as the rock and heart of Valencia’s defence even starting ahead of Captain Carlos Marchena in some games. Otamendi is very adored by the fans due to his immense work rate for the team.

Hot Prospects

Jack Wilshere
Signed from Arsenal on loan with a view to 10M permanent fee, Neeson wasted no time paying it after the seeing the 18yr old Englishman in training. Wilshere is widely regarded as a very promising extraordinary talent.

View attachment 15453

Jesus Ortiz
The young Spaniard was signed for 2.1M last term only at the age of 16. The former Rayo centreback has shown many signs of potential and even has some games under his belt making 27 appearances for Rayo in the Liga Adelante last season.

View attachment 15457

John Fleck
Signed for 3.3M in January from Glasgow side Rangers. Fleck went on to make 8 league appearances for Valencia last season scoring one memorable goal. Fleck was tutored by David Silva for the whole of 2009/2010 season and it appears to have paid some dividends with Fleck showing many signs of promise.

View attachment 15470

Eduardo Salvio
Signed for 13.75M with 8M of that coming over 48 months it seems Valencia seem to value this player to pay such a big sum to Lazio for his services. With Joaquin leaving Salvio is the direct replacement for him and aims to challenge Pablo Hernandez for the right flank spot.

View attachment 15455

Chris Wood
Chris Wood the young kiwi born striker made 6 league appearances for Los Che last season and showed many signs of promise including the goal scoring instinct. He has joined Celta Vigo on loan for first team experience.

View attachment 15472

Rafael
After acquiring his services through a 2.3M loan deal with a future fee of 17M, Valencia finally signed their man with Neeson looking for a right back throughout the whole transfer market and has had several bids turned down for the Brazilian. His move now permanent with Valencia player 9M now with the other 8M coming over 48 months.

Tactics

We’ve used a 4-2-3-1 all of last season and we are going to use it again. Not only does it work really positively for us, it also fits our players, we have talented attacking wingers and attacking midfielders so it fits the complexion of our team perfectly

Our philosophy is fluid as we have good intelligent players who can really pick out passes, and we play attacking football home games and depending on opposition we can play counter as our pace and technique are very good.

Pre-Season Round Up

Overall I am really pleased with our pre season, we have brought in some young really talented footballers, we trimmed the excess of the squad which was necessary as it helped trim down the wage bill to a very comfortable level.

We also won every pre – season fixture except for two draws and everyone got some games under their belts, so that was also good for match fitness. I think this club can really look to next because we have brought in some good quality, and a **** of a lot of potential.
But enough talk

Game time!

NOTE: August/September report soon

[FONT=&quot]We fielded a hugely experimental team and the game was more about the season ahead than the European Super Cup itself, we defended poorly and let in silly goals but we definitely will be better, I assure you of that.

[FONT=&quot]Really pleased with today, you never know what to expect, but we went 3-0 very easily and controlled the game from there, again slightly disappointed conceded two sloppy goals but we will try to improve on our concentration levels. There were more positives from this, great performance and a goal for Michael (Ballack) on his debut.”

[FONT=&quot]Stunning performance from the lads today we attacked them from the first whistle and they just could not cope with our pace and passing, we ripped them open over and over and once the first went in we were set to crush them.

[FONT=&quot]Very comfortable game for us today, we controlled the game for very large periods and created quite a bit of chances. I don’t feel they had much going forward; they never looked like scoring so we were never troubled.

[FONT=&quot]It was very close the first half our and once they went ahead, we did exactly what I wanted we showed maturity and kept calm, we played our football and steamrolled them after that. We’re scoring a lot of goals at the moment so I’m pleased.

[FONT=&quot]Another stunning attacking display, we played some tremendous stuff and it really paid dividends. They beat us 5-4 away ad then beat us 5-4 at our ground so I’m really pleased because we crushed them, David (Villa) got a hat-rick, and John (Fleck) scored a great goal. Very pleasing.

[FONT=&quot]It was so, so tight the whole game, we were reserved and so were they, when Michael (Ballack)’s screamer gave us the lead. We were very close to getting a big win before Henry scored the late goal, it looked like he fouledMoya to me.

[FONT=&quot]Really disappointed we had a very good chance tonight even though David (Villa) got injured yesterday, and he will be out for about 3 weeks. Manny (Fernandes) shot us in the foot getting sent off 6 minutes in so that was disappointing. We showed character to respond and Jack (Wilshere) scored against his old club. When they come to us it’s going to be a lot different to what they expect

[FONT=&quot]Free Scoring Valencia enjoy fine start to the season bagging 21 goals in the first 5 games of the season with David Villa bagging 9 goals and Silva grabbing 5 goals himself.

You have a good story goin on here, probably one of the best I´ve read on this forum so far. I´m even tempted to get a story of my own going, although I doubt that I could bring up the patience to keep it this detailed. Nice work so far, keep it up!

I will follow your story

Hi guys, this is my first post...

I'm managing Valencia too. I finished first season in 3rd place. Of course, after Madrid and BARÇA :)

In Europe league, we defeated by Olympic Marsellie in 2nd round.

Anyway, I'm grateful with my attack players, but can anyone suggest good-strong defender?

Miguel - Andrade - Marchena - Mathieu is my defence line.

Hello Number7, I am looking to play a network game with one other person, let me know if u are interested.

mate keep hold of mathieu

buy kryvstov for cover for marchena great young cb, the other cb spot you should buy a player, maybe leo, david luiz, naldo, mertesacker

thanks for advices.

Actually I have a non-eu player limit problem, I signed Cardozo and Cristaldo..

Do you have any idea about Felipe from Udinese? I think he has a eu passport (I'm not on my pc now so i don't know :) )

This is very interesting! The best part is how this guy manages a big club and doesnt bring in every star player in the planet into the club, he keeps it real and his tactics seem to be working very well, a draw with real madrid and a 2-0 away loss to barca is nothing to be shamed about.

Keep it up mate, quick question though: How have you managed to spend about £10m when Valencia only get 800k to start with? :) (Just so I know come the net game)

After a few games if doing well request extra transfer funds and they give around 10 mil that was my experience.
