7 Goals for a winger isn't the best stat is it...?

Being a winger isn't neccesarily about goals, it's more about set-up. And seeing as they scored 68 goals in his first season, I'd say he contributed a fair few of those.

Lol, I dunno why people are argueing, this was decided on a points basis, untill we know what that points basis is anything we say may prove to be irrelevant. People saying Wenger isn't even top 5 can just **** off but people saying Mourinho/SAF should be there, I see where your coming from.

Still I'm happy Wenger has won this because in my eyes he's the best manager in the world and I dread to think of the day when he retires.

YH Jeffers and Wright were flops but what about
Kleberson
Carrick
Hargreaves
Berbatov (for the money)
Anderson

The list goes on.

Carrick IMO is doing quite good, not the best creatively but a good holding man
Currently Berbatov isn't a flop is he, and before his role wasn't a goal scoring role mind you.
Unfortunately Hargreaves has been marred by injury, and now Ando is showing his potential.

Wikipedia?

Some site, but it mixed with Euros & sterling so.. got a bit confused

Look what holloway has achieved?
So far he's got them promoted and now they're 13th after 19 games. Hardly amazing stuff, they could easily still get relegated.
Hodgson acheived more than holloway at fulham and look how it worked out for him at a big club. You've got to prove you can do it at the very highest level to be considered one of the best managers in the world.

Yh but how can they prove it if they don't get offered the chance. And yes I think Holloway has done amazing as Look at the squad he has got:

Varney - A derby reject
DJ Campbell - A leicester reject
Adam - A rangers Reject
and Blackpool were favourites to go down in the championship last season but Holloway managed to get them up and now lying in mid table.

And Hodgson yes he didnt do very well at Liverpool but look at the squad he inherited, except Torres, Reina and Gerrard Liverpool have got nothing, IMO they didn't give Roy enough time and the supporters never gave him the support from day 1.

A winger doesn't look for 20+ goals a season? oO) he's there to support, in this case, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robin van Persie, who I must say did brilliantly well assuming we're talking about Hleb. Look, he was so good he attracted the scouts and gaffer of Barcelona, hardly anything bad, not that it turned out nicely for him. But still, Hleb was arguably one of our main players in his last season at Arsenal.

Wenger had an expensive side when he was winning things with Arsenal. He spent a lot of money, there's no denying it.

You can take my word for it or wait for me to dig up the facts tomorrow when I can be bothered.

Carrick cant even get a game for you, 14m for a bench player,

Fergie bought Hargreaves knowing hes a sick note, so he must have been brain dead to buy him for that money and for 31m Berbatov is a flop IMO considering Wenger payed 3m for RVP and IMO RVP is the better player.

Ugh, not again.

He said when we were winning things. Plus, I gave you the real take on these transfers, poor choice of players to be 'picked on'.

Lol, please compare those signings to the ones Mourinho/Fergie have made then come and tell me they're expensive...

What about Eric Djemba-Djemba, Quinton Fortune, Massimo Taibi, Roy Carroll, Gabriel Heinze, David Bellion, Guiseppe Rossi, Ricardo, Diego Forlan, Tomasz Kuszczak and Manucho. All relative flops but most expensive.

I dont believe that "he spent a lot of money"

Henry 10m
Pires 6m
Freddie 3m
Viera 3m
Campbell £0
Petit 3m :/

he didn't buy Bergkamp, Saeman, Keown,

Yes, he can get a game

Season, League Appearances

2006–07 33
2007–08 31
2008–09 28
2009–10 30
2010–11 13

About he cant get a game, he plays for most of the season.

And as for RVP his highest amount of goals in a season (league) is 11, and 49 goals in 141 isn't all that is it?
And Berbatov has 35 goals in 81 games, RVP on has 14 more goals and he has played 60 more games than him.

They do a vote every year on who the top 20 coaches in the world are based on there achievments that year. The best manager of the decade was the one who recieved the most votes/points in the 10 votes. Wenger never came top any year but was in every list and so managed to gain the most points. Utter **** though.

Lamine N'Diaye was apparently the 10th best coach in the world last year getting 4 more points than Harry Redknapp. Also IFFHS' current club rankings has estudiantes ahead of all English clubs, in their rankings.

How many of those apps were coming off the bench though????

and but the difference is RVP 3m & DB 31m
and at least RVP tries for his team.
