This will be a montage to how I restored the Hammers back to the nostalgic years when the boys in claret and blue where synonymous with a rock solid defence and free flowing passing football!
Primary Goals;
· Promotion
· Beautiful possession football (100 passes for playmaker per game, 70+ possession per game)
· Rock solid defence (concede less than 20 goals all season)
My first task was to decide what formation would be implemented to achieve my primary goals! Inspired by Barcelona and Spain recently I decided to create a 3-7-0 formation. Who needs strikers anyway :P

As you can see my formation consists of three defensive players, and seven midfielders.
Analysis of formation
Defence
The two wingbacks are integral to the success of the formation, covering enormous yardage in pursuit of possession and assists.
The limited defender on the other hand is the sole defender on many occasions allowing my team to attack in a 1-9-0 formation when in the opposition half. As shown below….

Midfield
Three DMCS are the heartbeat of my new look Hammers side.

The central DMC is my primary playmaker! Either Noble or Jali!

Above is Noble stats, injuries have limited him to 19 starts out of 23 league games but he is averaging 144 passes a game!
DMCS settings are as follows
4 notches mentality
Full freedom
Everything set to rarely

The two accompanying DMCS are mainly on defensive and support duties winning back possession or making incisive passes to the more attacking midfielders.

The three AMCS and and AMR are the primary attacking group of my formation

No special settings with the AMCS just lots of through balls!

However the AMR has been phenomenal for me with cut inside as his wide play option and everything set to full on player instructions Carlton Cole has scored 22 goals in 20 appearances and my back up Darwin has scored 13 in the league as a sub for the majority of games.

Whilst more than happy with the majority of my squad I knew a few fresh faces would have to be brought in to ensure my 3-7-0 formation would be successful.

Game analysis:

Great possession against a superior team! The hammers fans are already delighted by the style of play applauding numerous attacking movements! Although the stats tell the real story, Weder Bremen were outclassed!!

Outclassed the visiting Spanish outfit, was delightful to see Mark Noble go over 100 passes again :)

Il be back with more updates im currently 24 games into this save and have not lost yet :) even beat Chelsea with over 100 passes (6)!!

Very good work here m8! Congratz!

I can see that your defenders dont have the ball as much as other possession tactics, and this works either home or away.

Can you give more info about the tactic?

No download just yet im gna finish my euro with spain and italy and then post my 3-7-0 and 3-4-3 at the same time!
hopefully by the time of tactic release il have all these teams below as proof that the tactic works with full fixture lists :)

Mmmm good question id say move the central advanced playmaker to a DLF and have his runs set to rarely to draw out the opposing defenders to create space for your AMR, just like a messi false 9 :)

You can also move that AMR to AML if you like. i only had an amr so id have an extra cover for faubert who can make some howlers sometimes

One big tip is dont use offside with 3 at the back! post some ss of your results here to update me on ur progress or any individual player settings you need help with.
 
You didn't say wich AMC (you have 3) to put as a striker, not aml

Im asking this, because oi have a very good striker and i dont want to leave him out of this good tactic.

Yes central Amc is messi role move him forward and it might work! Have never tried it just had my strikers as amr and worked fine :). No download link bud it's not gna be on my story. Can discuss roles of each player I'f you want tho
 
great stuff m8 , tried immitating the tactic but didnt work as i expected . My dmc who is playmaker stays back and the other 2 dmc push forward . The playmaker doesnt get the highest passes . What are the important stuff that u apply in player instructions that differentiate him from the other dmc's or are they the exact same instructions ?

Try and have the other two DMcs on a more defensive mentality whilst having them on rarely for every setting including freedom to completely limited! Where are your passes happening!? Post a ss bud
 
View attachment 265460that was one of the very few matches i had that kind of possession and that scoreline tbh , 2 or 3 goals were from outside the area and a penalty so not a good reference but here it is

Love the story m8, looks like you are doing a magnificent job with West Ham so far. I also have a West Ham story going, check my story out and I'm surely going to be following this one as I think you have already gained promotion lol
