Balance will lie with your CM's mate
Need one set to box to box or some version of defensive (Unless you want more cover and set them to box to box and deep lying playmaker)
Jonas AML Inside Forward
Ben Arfa maybe AMR Inside Forward
All I know is the best setting for Carroll/Ameobi is Targetman Attack
Thank you sir, i tried having the cm's as centre mid support and ball winning support but that didn't work too well. so box to box and deep lying playmaker is worth a try. what about philosophy and team mentality?

As you know ThisIsMyPhilosophy but set your full backs on automatic (Enrique is pretty sensational and simpson has alot to offer)
Philosophy: Fluid
Mentality: Attacking (Standard away from home)

Try slotting Nolans role to Trequarista or Advanced playmaker attack(Well whoevers playing CAM)
Just to make up for and support the striker because the likelyhood is the CM's wont be bursting too far into the box

is it advisable to put messi as a lone striker. lucas gaucho, bojan and rochina as attacking midfielders.
I also need hints on possible player and team instructions, thanks in advance

Just about to start game with norwich and was wonderoing which tactic would get me into the EPL in first season with a relatively poor and fairly slow squad? Thanks

I started with Stuttgart in my first season, using park the plane v2, finished 3rd in the league and won the German cup. I am struggling in my second season, can someone suggest a new/improve tactic for my team.

Just started as bolton is there any tactics i can download thaat will suit them well?

can anyone give me hints on how to beat arsenal?

got them in the FA cup semi's and really want to beat them

played them 2 times this season and nothing has worked at all, my team are comfortable with 4-3-1-2, 4-4-2, 4-4-2(wingers pushed to AM's), 4-3-2-1(AM's playing wide) and 4-3-2-1.

no idea what tactics to use because they seem to be able to counter every tactic ive thrown at them. ill be facing birmingham or sunderland in the final, both of whom ive beat this season with ease so if i can get arsenal beat im pretty confident that ill win the fa cup in my first premierhip season.

cheers in advance!

Could anyone tell me what is the best tactic for Sandecja Nowy Sacz? This is the club from the Polish league (1. liga - like a npower League 1), which according to bookies has a chance to place at the forefront and promotion to the Premier League (Ekstraklasa). The club does not have outstanding players and money for transfers (0 €).

Hi guys. I'm looking for some tactic for my Chelsea (2nd season).
I used 4-4-2 Gladiator tactic but with time i was unable to dominate game even on the own pitch. The game usually start with opponents attack there was 50-50 chance they will score in 1st minute of the game or second half, thats made me soo mad. In away games even sides like Birmingham was able to retain possesion and win with me. I will be more than thankful for any tips or advices what tactic should fit to my team and my players, any advices how to play away from home will be welcome as well.

I need advice on how to improve my newcastle tactic. Now i have more creative players than when i started should i change to shorter passing and allow more roaming and creative freedom? i finished 6th in the first season and i am currently 5th in feb 2012. Or should i change any player roles? i use a standard back four CB'S to defend full backs automatic box to box and ball winning defend, 2 inside forward attacks advanced playmaker attack and target man attack. Heres a screenshot of my team instructions to help.

Hi, I play FM since 2007. FM 2011 is my first PC version, and FM on the PC is kinda different. I need a tactic for my Milan team, these are the general players:
GK:

Abbiati
Amelia

DEF:

Bonera
Zambrotta
T. Silva
Zapata
Coentrao
Nesta

MIF:

Pirlo
Ambrossini
Gattuso
Flamini
Ronaldinho
KP Boateng
Hazard*

ST:

Robinho
Ibrahimovic
Pato
Babacar
Inzaghi

I play: 4 - 1 - 2 - 3
GK: Abbiati
LB: Coentrao
CB: Silva
CB: Zapata
RB: Zambrotta/Bonera
DM: Pirlo
CM: Gattuso
CM: Flamini
ST: Robinho
ST: Ibrahimovic
ST: Pato

I think its too many strikers, but i couldn't find anything better. I play counter.

Help with formation, first eleven, tactics.

*Eden Hazard is going to join me at the end of the season, as AMC

I need a tactic for my palermo team. I only added Kadlec and Dodo . I don't know if the 4-3-1-2 tactic suits well to my team. So I want to know which tactic I should use?

QPR Help

Hey, I'm in my second season with cardiff, got through play-offs in first season using a mixture of tactics but mostly 4-3-3 but this season it doesn't seem to work against the better prem sides. I have attached a screen shot of my team, What tactic do you suggest? I need one that utilises my forwards as last year i had no solid goal scorer and the goals came from all over the place so was inconsistent.
Also Gael Kakuta seems to miss a lot of opportunities, is there a way to fix this or is just him not being good enough?.

Hey i am very new to FM as this is actually the first one ive gotten.
i got it for christmas and have started a league with arsenal i havent bought anyone yet so i just had the standard team
i was wondering if anyone could give me any help with tactics etc as atm im not doing too well
thanks :)

Hi, I haven't put in any screenshots because I dont know how to, sorry!!

I'm playing as Coventry, I'm in my second season, won the championship and league cup in the first season, I've literally just played one game in my start to the premiership.

I currently play 4-4-2, with two MC's and two wingers pushed up inbetween the strikers and MC's.

This is my team:

GK - Kasper Schmeichek
DR - Jordan Spence
DL - Franck Signorino
DC - Miquel Robuste
DC - James McPake
MC - Aron Gunnarsson
MC - Charlie Adam
AML - Junior Stanislas
AMR - David Hoilett
ST - Peter Utaka (Poacher)
ST - Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (Target Man)

SUBS: Vary as to what I need for the match/if players are injured.
Lucas Jutkiewicz (ST)
Freddy Eastwood (ST)
Marlon King (ST)
Gary McSheffrey (AML/ST)
Gael Nlundulu (AMR)
Carl Baker (M/AMRLC)
David Bell (M/AMRLC)
Sammy Clingan (DMC/MC)
Danillo (ML/AML)
Michael Ball (DL)
Yassin Moutaouakil (DR)
Ben Turner (DC)
Richard Wood (DC)
Martin Cranie (DRLC)
Danny Ireland (GK)

I'm thinking this tactic worked in the championship but will struggle in the premiership and Europe, what do you guys think?

Also I dont really have a clue about how to choose people's roles, I have just put target man and poacher as a guess realy.

AND (sorry for the last question!!) I normally just do whatever the assistant tells me to do in terms of opposition instructing, is that right or is it better not to??

Thanks!!
