I could never get into EU/CK. The only Paradox game that worked for me was HOI3, I guess because World War 2 setting is just more familiar. I remember i spent like 1.5 a month, replaying the same scenario like a madman, trying not to get overrun by Hitler as Poland on normal difficulty setting. Good days.

I think hardest challenge on EU4 is playing as Bosnia, Serbia or Albania. On one side you have Hungary and Austria who hate you, on the other side you have ****** Ottomans who hates you as well. And if you think to ally Bosnia, Serbia or Albania, think again, they hate eachother as well.

Out of interest did you pull it off? I've seen it done on the forums but I could never do it although I spanked japan with nationalist china and beat germany with france thats about the extent of my forays on HOI3 although I am definitely getting HOI4

Nope, couldn't do it. Only managed it on Easy.
 
I've been playing so much DayZ lately. Started streaming it too as some crazy **** happens. Last night this happened..

downloading Battlefield 3 from Origin as we speak to see what it's like. Never played any of the BF games so hardly losing out when it's being given the hefty price tag of ?0

Cant get bored with them.

PS. I played Watch Dogs in a friend of mine. Interesting project, difficult to make it work correctly but Ubi did good (In hacking i mean). Driving sucks though, and atmosphere of the town isnt something special (Rockstar spoils us) so no buy for me.

Yeah, the driving in Watch Dogs is awful. The overall gameplay is fantastic though.
 
Just downloaded wealth of nations for EU4 time to see what all the outrage is about on the paradox forums
 
Well it appears for the time being EU4 is a bit of a clusterfuck so seeing as I have built a shiny new computer I am going to stick skyrim on for a bit on Ultra and a few mods and marvel at my creation ;)
 
Just saw trailer for The Witcher 3. I want it. Badly. Now :(
 
New Wolfenstein is brilliant. Finally a proper single-player shooter. Reminds me of Half-Life 2 in a way (yes I did just say that).
 
Thought I'd post this here, looks like the steam summer sale is going to start on the 19th what are people hoping to pick up I'm looking through now probably look at fallout GOTY new Vegas ultimate edition and xcom what I can think of off the top of my head.
 
So midway through steam sale I've finally got round to playing some purchases

call of Juarez gunslinger brilliant so far

state of decay enjoying it so far

castle crashers because why not!

and various others not gone as mad as last year in the sale and I actually still have half my budget left go me :)

I'm surprised I haven't actually got anything in the steam sale yet. Nothing is really standing out at all that I haven't got already. Have the annoying in between generation time when there is nothing good worth buying.
