Yeah got it on launch, currently chomping through Europe as Milan, I'll take a look at steam on my day off see what's out
I'm having to restart from scratch after reinstalling my OS. Was mid tutorial but I know for a fact the addiction is going to be as bad as Civ. It's games like this which are responsible for all the unplayed games I've bought in Steam sales

I installed this game maybe 4 days ago, I'm now 18 hours in. This is worse, way way worse, than Civ. I'm playing as Portugal and colonising Brazil. Can't stop.

Oh, I have. It's a thing of beauty. I'm just waiting for the DarthMod that will inevitably make it about 600% better.

Ah I remember those days, starting out as castille and colonising. Now I am getting on for 400 hours and still got a humongous list of countries I've yet to play. Dunnohow familiar you are with paradox forums but if you ever wanna see the mechanics turned on their head watch some of DDR Jake on youtube he is currently attempting his third three mountains as ryuku
Yeah, I saw the Ryuku playthrough, as well as the one where the dude conquered the world in 9 years.
I actually didn't start as Castile, it seemed too easy. Portugal was just about right for me. I'm trying Denmark as well, but the Hanseatic league are *******.

My fave DDR Jake moment was the minghals It was a thing of beauty, hansa are actually alot of fun to play never been a big fan of denmark. After I finish up Milan think I am going to do a utrecht> netherlands game
I actually liked the AI. It can kick your **** properly.
I remember reading that it was pretty bad, and only responded to aggression properly instead of instigating.
Well yes, but that's most likely by design. You're quite outnumbered in most of the missions so it would just roll you over otherwise. But the combat AI itself is pretty good.
