I was the same I used to jump right in and try and take everything then get beat up by coalitions. Just be mindful of AE. Castille is always a good beginners choice you can just make an alliance with france and be unbeatable. Or be the big blue blob themselves and win the 100 years war integrate vassals then eat burgundy. Either way you'll be set.

Edit - just realised on paradoxplaza there is a sub forum for guides theyll be some up to date stuff In there regarding each nation. Recently played the last episode of the first season of The Wolf Among Us. Enjoyed most of it as I have with the rest of the season but, without giving too much away for those who haven't played it and want to, with the exception of seeing Bigby in his true form I was underwhelmed by a fight with a certain character.

Anyway, Prussia is only strong because of their army tradition. You won't get high manpower nor landforce limit. And you won't be rich for very long time. Your best bet is getting great generals and 'bait' AI in attacking you in rough terrain.

Thought you was going to show me a dead france haha! With byzantine ideas least you can just throw a **** ton of mercs at them (3rd idea cheaper mercs 4th idea double mercs available? Something like that not done byzzies for months) Thats impressive income though love to see the byzantines doing wellEdit - apologies Vanjagl I just saw your manpower yeah you're on easy mode now

Playing Total War Rome 2 and had to leave it for a while. The lag-even on lowest settings, when nothing is happening is just appalling. And when there is a battle it's just omfg. and for some illogical reason-it gets even worse when windowed. And I've adjusted resolution to lowest possible aswell.

Not a happy bunny. I like where the gameplay is heading right now-but the lag is killing it for me. I can play skyrim on high settings for crying out loud. I want my Roman Empire domination fix dammit :'(
 
I really want the 10th October to get here so I can play Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I really want to play that and Alien Isolation, but I'm going to need to upgrade my hardware badly. My own fault for getting a desktop with an FM1 Motherboard. God I'm such a noob at times :(

Alien Isolation looks so good, I am going to wait however and see what the reviews are like same with dragon age too

What did you think of the BM fight? Like I said before, I enjoyed seeing Bigby in his final form, but other than that I thought it was a pretty poor end to a character that they seemed to be trying to build some sort of rivalry with.

Yeah, I like the idea of Isolation. I'll probably wait to see if the alien's AI is as smart as they say it is before buying though. But it's good they've only put one alien in instead of having you fight groups of them.

yeah looks like they've gone for the proper feel of the Alien franchise this time. I won't even mention Colonial Marines lol. I sure as **** won't be playing it on the Occulus Rift though lol

Yeah, the boss fight seemed a bit forced and unnecessary.
 
Well seeing as I have been changed from working days to nights and there's been a colossal patch for eu4 and some new dlc be rude to not adjust my body clock for work by staying up all night on a eu4 monster sesh
 
Gone back to my old FM11 save :D Spanning 23 yrs already in the game, lol
 
Got an invite into the Strife closed beta (moba) and so far really enjoying it. Easy to get into, doesn't have the vertical learning curve of say Dota 2, doesn't take itself too seriously and more importantly it's fun. And even better unlike LoL or Dota 2 I've not come across a single piece of trash being a **** to other players. And the developers are also aiming to stamp out the moron toxic behaviour demonstrated on other Moba's-and it's working.

Win.
 
Just seen on Twitter that Origin are giving away for free (for a limited time) The Sims 2 and ALL the DLC that goes with it. All you have to do is log in to Origin (if you don't have the client you'll need it-only takes a few moments to install), go to redeem product code, and type in I-LOVE-THE-SIMS and voila. You have Sims 2 and all it's DLC
 
Inquisition has been delayed until the 21st of November. :(
