I haven't been following the talk so I don't know. I can see the case for him to be slightly OP but he is a massive unit which can easily picked off by snipers. When I have come up against capable snipers especially the bow and arrow dude I get picked off alot. I've had to pop out for a meeting but i am going to give some of the suppirt riles a go later. The dude who has the big shield he is annoying as **** too, especially by a skilled player.

Ah you mean this dude

This actually looks pretty good.

Some thoughts on the Civ gameplay so far:

- The graphics actually look great once zoomed out. It's superbly clean and easy to distinguish. I don't know what morons made the PR screenshots with maximum zoom, making it all look like a cartoon.

- Workers will now apparently have charges. 4 charges and your worker is done. But, they build tile improvements instantly,
- Roads are build by merchant units now. Which kind of makes sense.
- City cannot fire on nearby units until you build walls. Also makes sense.
- As expected, city expanding is now divided into buildings and districts. Buildings work like in regular Civ, districts you build on a global map, and they have adjacency bonuses based on your geographical location.
- Districts provide a variety of bonuses, from the looks of it you can basically build a city and make it into a massive fortress by building military districts. Turtling fans will love this.

Overall this starts looking pretty good. Hard to predict how it will turn out, but evidently a lot of effort went into rethinking and reworking even the most major mechanics.

On Hearthstone, Just finished a 33 minute game against a Paladin. Situation-down to 4 HP, 1 card left, with only a Bear Trap to help me block one further attack, and about to trade away Harrison Jones into a Frostwolf. Then this chap pops up 28 minutes into the game (restores health to full).

New situation. Paladin about to experience critical levels of salt

With Fallout 4 being utter garbage, I've started new playthrough of Fallout New Vegas.

It crashes a lot less than I remember after 6 years worth of community patches.

I was looking for an RPG on stèam today to see what I could buy and I came to the conclusion of reinstalling New Vegas

Nothing compares to strolling over the desert with Mojave Radio on.

I still really like FO4, it's fun as ****, but it's not an RPG and it's not really a Fallout game.

Yeah, I wouldn't have any issues with it myself, if it wasn't named Fallout. Fallout game needs to have a very specific atmosphere and F4 just doesn't get there.

Anyhow, NCR declared me a terrorist and they shoot me on sight. So I probably locked myself out of like half the quests and areas in the game.

Good start for 2 days of playing.

Completed Halo 5 (really enjoyed it!). Went back to play through Halo 4 and I'm right at the very end now I think.

5 better than 4.

Also started Halo 1 again, that on normal difficulty is harder than 5 on heroic!

Got Advanced Warfare for 5 quid so been playing the campaign which is ok for the price. Can't skip cut scenes though which i hate!

Also ordered Black Ops 3 for 15 quid and Shadow Warrior for a fiver, should be here this week.

Plenty to get through as I also want to finish Halo 1,2,3 as well!

Jesus, you guys are overpaying for games :D
But those arw good games!

Which games are you saying are over priced?

Mine were pretty cheap I thought haha. 11 quid halo 5, BLOPS 3 15, 5 quid shadow warrior...

Anybody getting Hearts of Iron 4 later today? This was always going to be my game of the year, **** has been streamlined so its not the micro-fest that was HOI3. Community seems fairly split on the game too, seem people cannot handle the streamlining of mirco. Watched a few streams and the game looks superb to me. I was hyped for Stellaris but I knew it would need time, but this is a totally different beast hope Paradox don't let me down :P

I'm split. Although HOI4 looks great, I've never really been a massive Hearts of Iron fan. I love the World War setting, but I always seem to lose interest after a little while and then I just resort back to either Total War: Rome II or Shogun 2.

**** ******* ************! Hearts of Iron 4 you beautiful *******! its crazy good I mean this **** got a 9 in IGN like how? honestly tho the AI can do some dumb things sometimes but that aside this game is an absolute monster! This is the same feeling I get when I play EU4 and Vicky 2, they absolutely nailed it in my opinion, good balance of Micro and streamlining especially compared to HOI3. AI will get patched in fact there was already a day 1 50 mb patch so I assume AI prioritising is being balanced. Man this **** is too good now excuse me whilst I drag France's sorry **** to a fight they cannot win!

I am in game now, its glorious, but if you prefer TW than I get that, I am more of a paradox fan myself as actual combat does nothing for me I prefer the grand strategy scale and complex diplo. I think it is just about what you prefer, what other Paradox titles have you tried?

HoI3 was a mess, it only became playable once mods came along.

Yeah, I've heard HOI4 is meant to be awesome but generally I'm just more of a TW fan. We'll see though, I might buy HOI4 when it eventually comes down in price.

I've played a bit of Stellaris but work got a bit crazy after I bought it and I haven't really touched it since (I really should). Apart from that the only other Paradox game I've played is Cities: Skylines, which I absolutely love.

tbf it was playable after their finest hour but that was what 18 months down the line? tbf I mean I like HOI3 but its just to micro intensive for my liking they have cut so much of that **** out of HOI4 its a breeze in comparison. Whether it challenges my 1K in hours on Europa Universalis though I dunno yet
