Had my PS4 a year and a half still haven't got a platinum XD
They're mostly ps3, i think i have 3 on the ps4. Dishonored, Murdered Soul Suspect & Grim Fandango
When I got Fallout 4 I was all set for that to be the first platinum but then it required a second playthrough and I was just like no I cannot help another settlement . Days Gone when that hits the shelves may well be the first tho that game seems to have serious potential
Heres my fort in fallout i got wwwaaaaay into base building.. its a bit further on now though.. all lit.

Finishing up my HoI 4 save. I had to sit in Warsaw for nearly 2 years (yes, really). Finally the Allies pushed forward enough for me to start poking the Russian bear a little bit. Slowly I retook most of the regions that I've lost in Western Europe, while Allies were bleeding themselves out in Moscow. But by being isolated for so long, I wasn't able to build up my army AGAIN.
So now it's 1946, the USRR have surrendered, I own whole of Germany and Poland with pre-WW2 borders. But I have only dozen of divisions left. Meanwhile, the Chinesse were biggest beneficiary of the war, they now own entirety of USRR and most of Asia. And guess who has the biggest land border with the Chinesse...
The game ends in 1948...it's gonna be buttclenching 2 years.
Yeah peace deals are a bit warped at the minute, they are getting some love in the next patch. Also they are patching AI so that they have 3 settings on their battle plans, Defensive, Aggresive and one in between. Which as a knock on effect have been made available to the player for their battle plans. Just waiting on this patch so I can start a new campaign, (the beta may well be out I need to check later). My Brazilian campaign which i posted on the last page just ended in stalemate. Ittook me too long to take America so couldn't get my navy out the port. I tried to spam carriers but even that did not help, we just got pawned by the royal navy and its superior doctrine. Dunno who to try next think it could be japan, or I may retry a samba world conquest.
Lol I didn't even use battle plans once yet. I was limited to 10 provinces and couple of divisions for most of the game, so it was easier to micro everything manually.
Thinking I'll go Australia next save, go full navy, join up with USRR and buttfuck the allies when they least expect it.
I don't really use the battle plan only for holding the line, I micro the breakthroughs. Just handy for the planning bonus you get. Not sure who my next campaign is yet still but going to wait a few days, beta patch is out but its broken Germany's front management. They abandon the French front to defend against the soviets so they need to sort that out pronto before their summer vacation
Yeah, they tried to give us the reason to use the planning with the bonuses, but you can't beat manual control for the offenses. Hopefully they'll get that right in one of the games one day, I do feel that microing the units shouldn't have a place in grand strategy game.
what I would like them to do with the planning is so you put the micro into the planning in a sense. So rather than just having 1 giant front you can break the front down into sectors so have 3-4 mini fronts. Then tell which sectors to hold which to push forward, where to put armour etc etc. Would be a clusterfuck for the AI but I think it could well evolve into something like that.
Also we now need Victoria 3!
Yeah that does sound like a good solution. Microing couple of units is fun, but I'm really not looking forward to microing the land war in Russia.
Anyhoo, I started another save with Germany. Tried to play it politically and got plenty of countries to the Axis. I control all the usual regions, plus my allies control the whole of Africa.
All was going well, until I got absolutely cockblocked in Greece out of all places. I sheepishly send Rommel with tanks there, but it's all mountains so I'm being held back by some ****** mountain infantry for about 6 months now, with no sign of progress. I can't send support because the Allies started to poke my borders with amphibious landings, and I can't leave because the Greeks immediately start counterattacking all the way towards Italy. Also, snooping at the Russian focus tree, looks like they're slowly getting ready to fight me. Looks like this save is done for.
Also, I have NO idea how to take on UK. Too much fleet for an amphibious landing, too much planes to use paratroopers.
Have mercy, I haven't even sunked my teeth into HoI yet.
Having micro'd a front the west to the east coast of america I do not envy you at all. Subs are the only thing that you can really spam fast enought to make a dent in the Royal Navy, do you know how to do the naval invasions though? I had to youtube it to see where I was going wrong, you could maybe use them to cut off supply.to the mountain infantry too. But yeah sounds lime you are about to wake up the Russian Bear good luck haha, and I have been dream of Vicky 3 for so long hopefully once CK2 stops popping out dlc we may see it.
I did go with subs spam, since Germans have some epic bonuses for them and a level 5 Admiral who's a sub expert. I was able to put out like 50 subs, 1940 model, improved with XP bonuses, and a high level doctrine, all in 1939. Still they wiped me with no issue, I won like one major battle but after that I wasn't able to keep up with their shipyards output.
I think on the next try with Germany I'll just go full Hitler and invade everybody instead of trying to be political. Need full control of the Axis industry to take on UK.
And yeah, I had to Google how to do naval landing lol, whoever designed that is a moron. Why can't I just pick an army, click the place of landing and have the plan start preparing, I'll never know.
I'm still getting my head around naval mechanics, see on the forums they say that sub spam and aircraft carriers are OP, although I am not sure how AC can be OP because they where pretty boss in the naval engagements from the period afaik. But then in my Brazil game I made four carriers and also had other battleships etc, had a ratio of 3 screens per capital ship and still couldn't get out of the New York sea lane. So still working that out, and yeah I can kinda see the logic of needing naval superiority on every sea tile you cross but its still a bad mechanic imo and needs work.
So yeah tempted to give Japan a try as I will have no option but to work on the navy, might get chance late on but working on some other stuff so not had much chance to immerse in hoi4 lately, just used the steam sale to update my ck2 dlc, may try a mega campaign I am sure the vicky2 hoi4 converter will be a thing soon enough.
It's possible I've just got my tactics wrong. I set them to fly tight and Seek&Destroy. I had great fleet and Germans have so many additional bonuses, I figured I can meet the Royal Navy head on. But maybe at the start you're supposed to just attack the convoys and to cut off supplies, and hide from everything bigger than a transport ship.
And yeah, the thing with naval superiority, it's a binary thing, you either have it or the other side does. And I get that. But it feels like the game has it over the top, when I can't even leave the dock with 50 ships without getting destroyed before I even set the sail.
I haven't tried carriers at all, I might in some next save. The thing I noticed is that AI seems to use a lot of naval bombers. So maybe packing your carriers with naval bombers+spamming subs is the thing to do.
