4231. Flat back 4, Regata and DLP (dEF), 2 wingers, Enguache and target man, short psssing, exploit flanks. FB's stay wide and run to byline. work ball into box.

Played 3, Won 3, Scored 11 conceded 2, Target Man has 4, CB has 3,

Would you be able to upload this tactic? Sounds like it could work for my West Ham save.

2nd season with Southampton, using a pretty simple 451, but it seems to be doing the trick. Came 11th in my first season and didn't do too well using a couple of the different tactics posted on here so decided to make my own. So far I've comfortably won 4 out of 4 in the league as well as a cup game, but it was against reasonably average opposition so not sure if it will work as well against better opposition. Also, I've made quite a lot of improvements to the squad with players like Benteke and Subotic (Is it just me that's finding transfers a lot easier in this edition?). But yeah I'll post it on here so feel free to try it and tell me whether it's actually decent, or just me being very jammy :P View attachment 463440

442 with utd, so far beat city away 1-0 and 3-1 against cardiff

rvp - adv forward
rooney - false 9

2 cm's - dlp (d) & adv play (s)

I'm using a 4-2-3-1 with Man U and it's going really well.
F9 - Shadow striker- If's - CMd - CMs and a flat back 4 a few of my own changes to player instructions.
Played 7 in the league with 6 wins and a draw. Won my 2 euro games and lost my league cup tie (new tactic and fringe players).
Has anyone noticed they are creating a lot of CCC's and hc's? Out of those 7 league games I created 26 CCC's and 19 hc's but I'm not putting that many away, only around half are actually converted into goals the rest have been from long range or corners or hc's.
seems to work well for my Maidenhead utd team too.

Using tactic from ****** #48

O My God!

Play with FC Dordrecht, dutch first division, Media prediction 17th (of 20)

Finished 1st !!!!!!!!! 90 goals scored/ 47 agianst

training: Balanced/ average
MP: Att movement

Rest before and after the game!

THanks @******!!

Im workign on a 3-4-3 Diamond for my Rosenborg save atm. Not happy with the lack of dominance in games were im huge favourite atm, but it has provided me with a nice 1-0 home to Fiorentina in the EC :p

so far i have lost 3 games and got 4 draws, rest is won and im 18-4-1 in the league with +21 in GD.
Strikers dotn score to much so not even close to have the top scorer for the league but everyone is chipping in and i have lots of 1-0 and 2-1 wins. As i said not to happy with the games i should be smashing atm. my biggest win part from pre-seasons is a 3-1 home to Sogndal :/ Feel like Perry IRL atm xD

I just found mother off all bugs in one match alone!

1.My striker got red card for not doing anything at all, and i do mean nada. we got a freekick when all of a sudden the striker who was alone doing nothing got red carded.

2.St.Etienne player injured 3 of my players within 5 seconds.
Nasty slide tackle from behind (8months on henrique), Another nasty slide (6-8 weeks on Gamboa), third slide (5-6 months on Reginiussen). this was after 4min and something and i had to do a tripple sub after they scored (because they did that 2). And he did not get a singel card, neighter did any St.Etienne player this match.

3. 40minish Red card for Jensen for a normal tackle winning the ball.

This ment i had to play 50minuttes 9v11, and if that was not enough their striker came solo vs my gk and my gk replied by running right out of the box so the striker got an open goal.
i lost 0-2, but im not sure if im loading back the save to check the game again tomorrow.

now i need to sleep this was..crazy ><

Few screens. Fairly basic 4141.

Interesting. I've never managed to get tactics with deep players working like that. It must be the fluidity that makes it work. I might try that as a "hold the lead" tactic (something I have problems with!).

I usually find attacking & possession tactics work for me. Attacking as a form of defence and possession to keep fitness up. I managed to win the Prem & Champs League in my 3rd season with Man City after various tweaking using this and after significant signings (Falcao, Wilshere, Ramsey, Alaba) so it's no ground-breaking feat.

All settings default except...

Tackling Shout = Get Stuck In (Red cards ussally stay fairly low due to high possession)
Philosophy = Attacking

The AP & SS seem to run the show. The SS actually helps out a lot defensively by pressing the opposition high up.

I'm struggling to get anything consistent at the moment. I know it's not the AI because I don't understand how the new roles work? I always used the old method of organising tactics. I really want to learn how to use the roles more effectively. Where do I begin to learn? Is there any threads or documentations? Any help would be appreciated.

Barcelona - Shiftey

Shiftey - any chane you could let us know the details of your barca tactic?

Using W4nker's deep-lying 4-4-2, and it's gone well, mainly. Cups were a disaster, but I'm pleased to be able to win using 442, being wedded to the idea of two strikers. Even beat Norwich in my first Premier League match!

WOW!!! Download please

Shiftey - any chane you could let us know the details of your barca tactic?

I am at work at the moment but can upload later tonight. The high scores are against very low teams though and I am not sure if it works with other teams than barcelona :)

Thank You.
I try it with AC Milan and let you know.

Team training??

Here is the whole tactic: 4-3-3 Barca fm 2014 Rev 2

It is based on the current Barcelona under Martino in which they drop a bit deeper and give up some possession in order to be stronger defensively. http://www.zonalmarking.net/2013/10/11/new-managers-martino-at-barcelona/

remember that it's just a beta test but the teamtraining I am trying out is as the left picture and result are looking good so far which you can see in the right image. No OI or Shouts used for the sake of testing. Also didn't do anything about setpieces or penalties yet. (not on purpose, just forgot) :D

After raping The australian league with 4-5-1 and 4-4-2first ima try this baby if i can snag a job with an english club next season.
I suppose you need flawless passing skills and creativity for this to work?

Maybe one day i can get the decency to create my own tactic and upload, but after 3 losses in a row or so i always give up because it seems my brain want to create something to good to be true.

If i can get my wingback 5-2-2-1 to work again like it did in the days i might post it, but the latest fm versions it always seems that if you want wingbacks to contribute with crosses and with foward you get rampaged in defence . having 3 CB dotn seem to help on crosses even vs 1 striker :/

It's a beta test so I am not sure about the limitations yet. You probably do need some decent passing and creativity

I find the wingbacks much better in FM2014 since with the halfback in front of the defence the CD will actually cover for them really nicely. It's quite impressive to see.

Let me know how you get on with it. Any feedback is welcome.

Trying out a few different ones in my Southampton and Manchester United save. I've been mostly testing out a flat 4-4-1-1, 4-4-2, 4-4-2 DM, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3. Been going nice so far although and witnessed some nice football so far but haven't really found one that I really like the flow off. Going to try out a more instruction combinations and roles, along with some asymmetrical formations. But I'm not going to spend too much time tweaking and testing out tactics considering it's only beta. Spending most of the time just scouting players and also checking out how the young players are improving.
