What Team Should I Be?

I always played with low league teams in England or with top teams in lower countries like Ajax and always had fun with this. Now I want to start with a team with quite a good budget to invest in young talented players to build a squad in a few years by buying young talented players like Eriksen, Gotze, Neymar. Goal is to play attractive attacking football and dominate to competition and also the Champions League.

It also must be in one of the top leagues of Europe to have good competition in the season. The reason I won the CL with Ajax was the good training facilities but also the weak competition in Holland so I could train my players a lot to reach max potential.

What team are u suggesting to be? I never managed the top. I can think of United, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Real, Barca, Dortmund, Bayern, PSG, Monaco but I can't decide which and also may be missing some clubs.

Thanks for suggestions!

Inter, Fiorentina, Napoli, Milan? I had a fun save building Stuttgart, but Bayer Leverkusen or Wolfsburg are also great choices.

Looking for a non-league team in England so anything below League 2 to start a long term save but my knowledge of teams below the BSP is poor. Preferably a team with a good base, so decent facilities for that level and a good squad to work with.

Starting a new save and really need your help. I cant choose!

What i'm looking for:
- A squad in Germany/France/Portugal/Italy/Spain
- Excellent Youth system
- At least 2 players in youthsquad who i can bring into the first squat in the first season
- Finances stable/rich ( want a few million in the beginning )
- A decent first team squad who can reach there goal

I'm gonna play 4-1-4-1, 4-1-2-2-1 and 4-4-2

Dortmund have players who are young already in their first team (players like Bittencourt etc). Don't get that much money but Lewandowski always wants to move so you could get about £25m-£30m for him possibly

I am looking for a challenge, a hard and frustrating challenge with a team where the quality of the players are way below the status of the club. A club that has an unbalanced squad and the boards ambitions and demands are unrealistic.

It has to be a club in one of the highest divisions in one of the top leagues in Europe or South America.

So.....
  • Club in the highest divisions of a top league
  • A "high" rep club in relation to the league
  • A club with a board demanding instant ( unrealistic) results
  • A club where the players are not up for the challenge
  • A club that dont have a balanced squad, perhaps too few leaders, too few defenders, too many players with poor mental stats and with low stats in decision
Cheers

@TheBetterHalf
try with Everton, Felaini wants to leave when you start game, Baines too... Board wants top half finish, sell them, build a good team, i played with them, but couldnt reach cl in first 2 seasons so i gave up... was 5th at secound, kinda frustrated :D ( using my tactic dont wanan use other people tactics :D )But excelent young system... and when you sell that 2 you can sell Jelavic and Heitinnga too, youll get about 60mil to spend :D

Ok now my turn xD
I played with Celtic and it was too easy, i made CL finals in secound season with wonderkids, lol ( Watt, Fierro, Maupay strikers :D, Peruzzi and stuff ) then went to olympique marsellie, bought maupay and fierro from celtic xD won league there 1/4 final losed to Barca... now i want new challange, france league is kinda boring to me, so i want:

*Team from top 4 europan leagues
*Team with good younger prospects and with decent transfer budget
*Europan expectations in first season
*Didnt won a league in last few years...

Hit me :D

Thanks for the suggestion but the squad of Everton is actually better than the boards ambitions and I could easily fininsh top 3 with them, probably winning if having money for transfers when selling those players.

I played better with Southampton then with everton... dont know why... oh Real Sociedad, played with them, CL... but couldnt win league cause of Barca :( lewandowski always needed to score for them :D but its fun! try them ;)

give some team for me :D

Again, thanks for the suggestions but as written in my post, I was looking for a team where the board has an unrealistic view, where they demand results despite the squad not being up for it.

And despite aging players, it's a pretty balanced squad aswell going by the season just gone. Even with Neville retiring, the RB looks fairly solid with Coleman improving, and having Hibbert there aswell. With the scouts the club have, even if Fellaini and Baines were sold it would be very easy to replace them with the quality of scouts, and the very impressive youth players coming through.

My points exactly. I am looking for a club, (perhaps outside of the UK as its those I dont know much about) where they are simply not up for the challenge ( like Leeds in Fm12 where the board wanting promotion and the team was acttaully more of relegation quality

John stones was even better then Coleman for me, idk... as i said, maybe formation was wrong... I think i had better results with Southampton... ayway... if you can recommand team for me.. :)

I'm looking to start a lower league career with teams such as San Marino, Tenerife etc.. and I was just wondering if there are any other teams that have had a giant fall from the top or any lower league team with a nice budget and team. If there isn't any, does anyone know of just a fun save with a lower league team in any of the top euro countries. (apart from England, played it so much it's now boring)
Thanks in advance guys!

Thinkingof starting a long term carrier mode with a team in BSC but not sure who to be.
Am looking for a team who i can grow and develop.
I will look to invest heavily in to the youth structure and the idea being Ican use this to sell players to make money and reinvest that in to the team.
Any suggestions welcome and as always thank you in advance

Hey, I'm looking for a team which has excellent youth. I Would like the team in England, if not a country with small rep but still has excellent youth/regens.

Thanks in advance.

looking for a clubs in the lowest league of any country either with large fan base or realistic potential to have one. also would like them to a one club city a bit like leeds utd.

I'm looking to take control of a club in which i can sell maybe a player or 2 for high value for whatever league they are in and build a better squad with the money. Any league, any country, any type of financial structure.

Thanks in advance.
