3 games, all in the league, not that exciting, or was it?

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Derby County 3-6 Cardiff City

View attachment 129436
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown, Martinez, Green, Odegaard (Pritchard 66), Angerschmid (Parry 71), G.Boyle

Well then. Scoring 6 goals? Great. Conceding 3 goals? Not so great. What a game, with 9 goals being racked up, with Derby scoring with each of their first 3 shots on target. We dominated but let our concentration slip which allowed Derby to keep in touch until Andre Green's 69th minute goal

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Cardiff City 0-0 Stoke City
View attachment 129435
Kyle, Krejci, Dale, Koulopoulos, Brown (Grant 79), Martinez, Green, Odegaard (Pennock 62), Angerschmid, G.Boyle

Back to reality. A huge difference between this match and the one against Derby as neither side were as potent or clinical, wasting chances that would have gone in at Pride Park last time round. Disappointing.

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Nottingham Forest 1-2 Cardiff City

View attachment 129434
Kyle, Koulopoulos, Tausendpfund, Dale, Nakagawa, Brown (Grant 66), Martinez, Green (Felix 61), Odegaard, Angerschmid (Parry 61), G.Boyle

A solid victory away to Forest as our hosts barely troubled us until their late consolation goal. A very confident performance

Our two final European League games

EUROPEAN LEAGUE DIVISION B
Wales 0-0 Sweden
View attachment 129431
Roberts, Pugh, Giggs, Davies, Cook, Grant, Pennock, Felgate (J.Thomas 45), Lloyd (O'Leary 79), Parry (McCoubrey 45), Al-Wadi

We created lots but couldn't finish. Ironically we were better against eleven men as Sweden shut up shop after the red card, with the game ending a disappointing 0-0. Oliver O'Leary made his debut.

EUROPEAN LEAGUE DIVISION B
Poland 1-1 Wales

View attachment 129430
Roberts, Pugh, Giggs, Davies, Cook, McCoubrey, Grant, O'Leary 50, Bamford (Lloyd 81), Parry, J.Thomas

We were winning and cruising until Oliver O'Leary decided it was a good idea to launch into a two footed lunge on one of Poland's players. The game should have been wrapped up before the red card but O'Leary's stupidity allowed the Poles back into the game and got them an undeserved point

A rotated side were dragged through into the semi final by an incredible performance from Greig Boyle. The club's record goalscorer scored 4 (Yes, FOUR) to sink the Foxes who showed great courage but just couldn't handle the Magic Man from Glasgow

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

Kyle, Krejci, Tausendpfund, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown (Grant 79), Martinez, Green, Odegaard, Angerschmid (Parry 79), G.Boyle

6 goals in 2 games from Mr Boyle, he'll feature fairly heavily in the nightmares of many a Leicester fan as he helps us to a routine victory over Leicester

ES Tunis 0-3 Cardiff City
View attachment 129338
Kyle, Krejci, Jair (Grant 67), Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown, Martinez, Green, Odegaard, Angerschmid, G.Boyle

A game that really highlighted the gulf in quality between European domestic football and African domestic football as we completely shut out Tunis, not allowing them a single shot whilst we ran riot at the other end, racking up 51 shots of our own

CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
Cardiff City 2-0 Atletico Nacional

Another game, another dominant performance and another Club World Championship title! Its two in a row now as we exercise our dominance over the rest of the world's clubs

View attachment 129329
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown, Martinez, Green, Odegaard (Pennock 77), Parry (Felix 59), G.Boyle (Block 77)

MATCHDAY 3
AS Monaco 1-1 Cardiff City

View attachment 129328

Cardiff have announced the signing of one striker as another one leaves the club

First up, the Bluebirds announced the departure of Dutch striker Michel Hellemons, who's joined Borussia Dortmund for £3m

Hellemons, 22, joined Cardiff from PSV for £10m in 2023, making 18 league appearances and scoring 3 goals for the club

Hellemons, who has 24 caps for the Netherlands, is starting his second spell at Dortmund, where he spent a season on loan, making 22 league appearances and scoring 17 league goals for the club
View attachment 129286

Cardiff then announced the arrival of German striker Patrick Gullenbeck from Bayern Munich for £13m

Gullenbeck, 19, made 8 league appearances for Munich, scoring 3 goals over 5 seasons with the Bavarian club.

German international Gullenbeck spent also spent time out on loan at Wolfsburg, where he scored 16 goals in 31 league appearances

View attachment 129264
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Taylor, Brown, Martinez (Pritchard 69), Felix, Odegaard, Angerschmid (Pennock 84), G.Boyle

A solid victory that was sewn up before Everton even woke up. Martin Odegaard displayed his quality with two goals and an assist while Greig Boyle just did Greig Boyle things

LEAGUE CUP SEMI FINAL FIRST LEG
Manchester City 2-1 Cardiff City

View attachment 129263
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Taylor, Brown (Tausendpfund 78), Martinez, Felix, Odegaard (Pennock 65), Angerschmid, G.Boyle

A poor performance away to Man City gives us a lot to do in the second leg

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Cardiff City 1-0 Chelsea
View attachment 129262
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Taylor, Brown, Martinez (Felgate 81), Felix, Odegaard (Pennock 64), Angerschmid, G.Boyle

A dominant performance with a deserved (if late) winner from Greig Boyle, a vital three points

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Manchester City 1-1 Cardiff City

Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Taylor, Brown (Tausendpfund 77), Martinez, Felix (Green 67), Odegaard, Angerschmid, G.Boyle (Al-Wadi 90)

A very good performance from us undone by Man City's only shot on target, which unfortunately found its way into the net, a decent point but it could have been more

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff City

View attachment 129260
Kyle, Koulopoulos, Jair, Tausendpfund, Krejci, Cook, Deniz, Martinez (Felgate 80), Odegaard (Pennock 67), Gullenbeck, Al-Wadi

Injuries forced us to try a new 5-3-2/3-5-2 formation which did alright, we dominated the game but just couldn't find the net

Watford 0-0 Cardiff City

Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Taylor, Deniz, Martinez, Felix, Odegaard, Angerschmid, G.Boyle (Gullenbeck 64)

Three draws in a row worries me. David Brown and Mitchell Grant were both ruled out through injury which gave Aykut Deniz a chance to impress. He didn't.

Cardiff City 5-1 Rotherham United

Lots of possession, lots of goals and the signs of a growing partnership between Stephen Al-Wadi and Patrick Gullenbeck. The wingers played wing-back today and it worked a treat.

Wow. We sometimes have these games where we just blow teams away and we did just that today, with even a red card not being able to stop us from trouncing the Citizens. 5 goals from Greig Boyle and a perfect 10 Match Rating

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Cardiff City 3-0 Southampton

Well then. The academy has started pulling its weight in recent years with players like Danny Bellamy, Tom Giggs and Chris Pennock being the best players to come through our system in recent years and it looks like we have two more players to add to the list

KIERON SELLICK
View attachment 129133
First up is Gareth Bale v2.0. This guy looks absolutely amazing and at the age of just 16 he could slot in to a Football League team. His speed isn't blistering but we can work on that, his technical ability is absolutely outstanding though, with his Corners, Crossing, Dribbling, First Touch and Free Kick Taking all ranked at 13 or above. This guy is going to be class

MARK GILES

The second best player from the intake is Wales' next great striker, this guy could be up there with Ian Rush, John Charles and Tyler Roberts if he progresses well. Also, he's 6 foot 7 at the age of 16

This is really good mate, read it in a day. I agree with banger93 and think you should go to a Conference side, you're definitely strong enough to bring them to the top and Cardiff are strong enough to hold up without your domineering presence. Maybe keep the Wales theme and monitor Wrexham?

Cheers mate :)

Funnily enough Wrexham were who I had in mind when I thought about going to a Conference side, they're battling against relegation from League 2 at the moment so I'll see where they are at the end of the season :)

Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown, Martinez (Felgate 72), Felix, Odegaard (Pennock 55), Angerschmid, G.Boyle

Arsenal 0-1 Cardiff City
View attachment 129128
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Grant, Martinez, Felix, Odegaard (Pennock 57), Angerschmid, G.Boyle

FA CUP SIXTH ROUND
Newcastle United 0-0 Cardiff City

View attachment 129127
Kyle, Krejci, Jair, Koulopoulos, Nakagawa, Brown, Felgate, Green (Felix 60), Odegaard, Angerschmid, G.Boyle
