Our first month in League 1 since 2005, let's do this!

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-1 Notts County

View attachment 127461
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Gregory, Thorne (Milns 59), Smith, Crookes, Munday, Roberts (Coveney 59), Giles

Our first game of the season ended in a slightly disappointing draw as we had the chances to win but just didn't put them away

LEAGUE CUP FIRST ROUND
Norwich City 3-0 Wrexham

View attachment 127460
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Thorne, Smith (Gotze 61), Crookes, Coveney, Giles

Dreadful. Shocking. We lost within two minutes as Wilkinson got two goals early on before finishing us off in the second half. Poor.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-4 Mansfield Town

View attachment 127459
Hodges, Halpin, Day, Lynch, Rogers, Gregory, Smith, Crookes, Munday, Roberts, Giles (Coveney 61)

Shocking. We absolutely bettered Mansfield but imploded once they scored, we even missed a penalty for God's sake. Mansfield just hit us on the break and it could have been more. Ian Day gave away 2 penalties. Christ.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Scunthorpe United 1-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127458
Hodges, Halpin, Mason, Lynch, Rogers (Gotze 65), Gregory, Smith (Milns 86), Crookes, Munday, Roberts, Giles

Another dominant performance that we just couldn't turn into goals. Encouraging signs but we need points

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-2 Northampton Town

View attachment 127457
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Crookes (Gotze 62), Gregory, Smith, Walker, Munday, Roberts, Giles

When it rains, it pours. 1-0 up and cruising, they get a red card, that's the game, right? Nope. They get two penalties, score both of them and spoil a perfectly good game

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Carlisle United 1-0 Wrexham

View attachment 127455
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Smith, Crookes, Gotze, Coveney, Giles (Kelly 81)

Carlisle have started very well and we did well to keep the score down

SEPTEMBER
View attachment 127283

Can we overcome our poor start and push up the league?

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 0-1 Milton Keynes Dons

View attachment 127282
Hodges, Halpin, Mason, Lynch, Peters, Walker, Smith, Crookes, Munday, Coevney, Kelly (Roberts 75)

A fairly even match where a moment of magic 18 minutes in decided the game as Franchise Dons leave the Racecourse with all three points

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Port Vale 0-3 Wrexham

View attachment 127281
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Peters, Walker, Smith (Roberts 85), Crookes, Munday, Coveney, Giles (Gotze 61)

3 POINTS! WE WON A GAME! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! What a performance and what a win as we finally make our mark on League 1

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 3-1 Grimsby Town

View attachment 127280
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Peters, Walker, Smith (Gotze 59), Crookes, Munday, Coveney, Giles

When Halpin scored an early own goal, I feared the worst but we rallied and went on to dominate, with Billy Coveney starting the comeback and Mark Giles finishing it

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Plymouth Argyle 1-4 Wrexham

View attachment 127279
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Peters (Bloom 71), Walker, Smith (Gotze 58), Crookes, Munday, Coveney (Roberts 71), Giles

THREE IN A ROW! WE'VE WON THREE IN A ROW! A top quality away performance as we take the lead, concede but stay strong and add a few goals to win 4-1. Top stuff.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 4-5 Southend United

View attachment 127278
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Peters, Walker, Smith (Mason 84), Crookes, Munday (Gotze 63), Coveney, Giles

Gutting. Absolutely gutting. To go two goals up, dominate, only to concede 5 on the break, with one being a last minute winner is not only gutting, but it is also inexcusable from the team. Hugely frustrating.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Coventry City 3-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127277
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Smith (Walker 73), Crookes, Gotze, Coveney, Giles

It was fun while it lasted.

A pretty decent month last time out. More of the same please.

JOHNSTONE'S PAINT TROPHY NORTH SECOND ROUND
Wrexham 0-2 Wigan Athletic
View attachment 127193
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Peters, Walker 88, Smith, Crookes, Gotze (Bloom 79), Coveney, Giles (Roberts 77)

Horrific. An injury, a red card and an own goal. Dreadful.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-1 Swansea City

View attachment 127192
Hodges, Bloom, Halpin, Lynch, L'Anson, Crookes (Brennan 65), Milns, Shepherd, Peters, Huws, Coveney (Roberts 65)

A side weakened by injury, suspensions and international duty battled to a brave draw against recently-relegated Swansea. Great performance.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-3 Portsmouth

View attachment 127191
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Bloom, Walker, Smith, Crookes, Munday (Gotze 66), Coveney, Giles

A decent performance where Pompey were just a bit more clinical than we were.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Bolton Wanderers 3-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127190
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Bloom, Walker (Gotze 61), Smith, Crookes, Munday, Coveney, Giles (Roberts 61)

We took the lead, we were looking good and then it all fell to pieces. With less than half an hour to go we somehow managed to go from 1-0 to 3-1 down. Poor.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-1 Fleetwood Town

View attachment 127189
Hodges, Rogers, Halpin, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Walker (Day 74), Smith, Crookes, Coveney, Giles (Gotze 60)

A promising start but we just couldn't hang on as Fleetwood's class told in the end, with them getting a deserved equaliser

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Bradford City 4-3 Wrexham

View attachment 127188
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Zamora 65), Crookes, Coveney, Giles

Jesus. 2-0 up within 14 minutes, dominating, only for them to score a freak goal which allowed them back in the game. Of course they went on to win, going 4-2 up and getting an undeserved three points

FA CUP FIRST ROUND
Peteborough United 1-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127143
Hodges, Day, Mason, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Zamora (Smith 69), Walker, Rogers, Coveney, Kelly

We were very poor today and were lucky to come out of this with a draw. We really need to improve.

FA CUP FIRST ROUND REPLAY
Wrexham 0-2 Peterborough United

View attachment 127142
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Walker, Smith, Crookes, Coveney, Giles (Kelly 45)

Wow. We were absolutely dreadful today, Peterborough walked all over us as we desperately tried to play something resembling football. At least we can concentrate on the league, I guess

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Wrexham

View attachment 127141
Hodges, Halpin, Rogers, Lynch, Bloom, L'Anson, Walker, Zamora, Crookes (Day 78), Coveney, Kelly (Gotze 78)

That's more like it! We actually performed today, despite going 2-0 down, we managed to rally and get it back to 2-2, very good.

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 0-1 Sunderland

View attachment 127138
Hodges, Halpin (Day 77), Mason, Lynch, Bloom, Rogers, L'Anson, Walker, Smith, Coveney, Giles (Kelly 64)

Very frustrating. We matched and even bettered Sunderland for the majority of the game but a lapse in concentration at the back allowed them their only chance of the game late on, and, of course, they scored

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-4 Colchester United

New month, new tactic. Could 4-2-3-1 be the answer to our problems

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Burton Albion 0-2 Wrexham

View attachment 127094
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Crookes 72), Peters, Giles, Munday, Roberts (Coveney 67)

Finally, a win! We've ended our 13 match winless streak with a huge victory away to relegation rivals Burton. Mark Giles seems to like playing as a Shadow Striker, could this have answered our problems?

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-0 Bristol Rovers

View attachment 127093
Harling, Bloom, Mason, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Zamora 76), Peters (Gregory 60), Giles, Munday, Roberts (Coveney 60)

Another win! We were without Hodges and Rogers through injury today and I feared the worst, but Harling put in a brilliant performance on his professional debut and kept a clean sheet, banishing my fears of a Rob Green v USA like performance

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Notts County 0-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127092
Harling, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Milns 76), Peters, Giles, Munday, Roberts (Crookes 57)

Another win! We nullified Notts County and a Robbie Roberts strike on the verge of half-time was enough for us to get through quite a tough test away to Notts County

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-1 Birmingham City

View attachment 127091
Harling, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Zamora 60), Peters, Giles, Munday, Roberts (Coveney 60)

Another good defensive performance! This is unlike us and I fear that they've been cheating on me with a defensive coach

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Bristol Rovers 2-3 Wrexham

View attachment 127090
Hunt, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Smith, Walker, Peters, Giles (Crookes 67), Munday, Coveney

What a performance! We fell behind twice, equalising both times before taking and holding onto the lead with 24 minutes left. Our attacking four were mesmerising today and probably deserved more for their efforts

HALPIN AND BROUGHAM LEAVE AS HARPER SIGNS
View attachment 127042
Wrexham have today announced the departures of defenders Elliot Halpin and Robert Brougham as well as the arrival of winger Paul Harper from Morton

Halpin and Brougham have left for a combined fee of £44,000, with Robert Brougham joining Blackpool for £20,000 and Elliot Halpin joining Wigan Athletic for £24,000

Halpin and Brougham, who both joined Wreham for nothing last summer, have both been sold to alleviate the club's financial problems

Shortly after these announcements, Wrexham announced a signing, that of Scottish winger Paul Harper from Greenock Morton for £4,600

Harper, 20, had spent his entire career in Scotland prior to joining Wrexham, making loan appearances for Annan and Forfar as well as one for boyhood club Morton

View attachment 127038
Hunt, Halpin, Mason, Day, Gregory, Rogers (Milns 74), Zamora, Crookes, Munday (L'Anson 45), Roberts, Giles (Kelly 74)

Injury issues forced us to revert to our 3-5-2 system and it worked.. kinda. I prefer the 4-2-3-1 but without fit full-backs, it was needs must

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 4-0 Exeter City

View attachment 127037
Hunt, Bloom, Rogers (Mason 79), Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Milns 57), Peters, Giles, Munday, Roberts (Coveney 73)

Well, that's better. Giles is brilliant in behind the striker and proved it again here, playing a huge part in our huge win

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Mansfield Town 3-6 Wrexham

View attachment 127036
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith (Zamora 60), Peters, Giles (Gotze 74), Munday, Roberts

Goals, goals, goals! An incredible attacking performance and a sublime personal performance from Carl Peters was enough for us to beat Mansfield. The defence weren't great, but they don't have to be when we score 6. Mark Giles got 3 assists. THREE!

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 1-1 Scunthorpe United

View attachment 127035
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith, Peters, Gotze (Kelly 62), Munday, Roberts (Coveney 66)

A fairly poor performance compared to our last two outings but a point will do, its better than what would have happened earlier this season

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Northampton Town 0-2 Wrexham

View attachment 127034
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Smith, Walker (Zamora 70), Peters, Gotze (Milns 62), Munday, Coveney

A solid away victory against Northampton is the perfect tonic to a disappointing home result against Scunthorpe. Coveney got 2 to prove that he doesn't need Giles all the time, but it does help when he's there

Milton Keynes Dons 1-0 Wrexham

Swansea City 1-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127006
Hodges, Bloom, Mason, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker (Milns 53), Crookes, Gregory, Giles, Munday, Coveney (Zamora 74)

A slightly weakened side battled bravely in Wales' second city to grab an invaluable point in our quest for survival. Cardiff boy Mark Giles was pretty happy with his contribution

Portsmouth 1-2 Wrexham

View attachment 127005
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Milns (Davies 58), Smith, Peters (Gregory 58), Giles, Munday, Coveney

We went 1-0 down against the run of play and rallied quickly, with Giles equalising for us just two minutes later, we continued to press, and, with it all looking in vain, up stepped Dan Davies who really announced his arrival today

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Wrexham 0-3 Bolton Wanderers

View attachment 127004
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker (Milns 52), Smith, Peters, Giles, Munday, Coveney

There really wasn't that much between the sides today, but Bolton were just a whole lot more clinical and it showed as they ran out 3 goal winners

SKY BET LEAGUE 1
Fleetwood Town 1-1 Wrexham

View attachment 127003
Hodges, Brown, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson, Walker, Smith 3, Peters, Milns, Munday, Coveney

To play 87 minutes with 10 men and come out with a 1-1 draw against a strong Fleetwood side is nothing to be scoffed at. In fact, its a top result

View attachment 127002
Hodges, Bloom, Rogers, Lynch, L'Anson (L.Roberts 77), Walker (Milns 65), Zamora (Davies 87), Peters, Giles, Munday, Coveney

BACK FOR GOOD

Wrexham have today announced the signing of fans' favourite Ryan Smith on a free transfer

Smith, 21, had spent the last two seasons on loan at the Robins from Swansea, who had found him surplus to requirements at the Liberty Stadium despite his impressive performances for Wrexham

Wales international Smith will feel right at home at his new club, having already made 85 appearances for Wrexham over the past two seasons, being instrumental in the club's promotion to League 1 and their subsequent 10th placed finish

Wales international Smith, who cost Swansea £88,000 back in 2024 when he was bought from Coventry, is said to be settled in Wrexham and has signed a two year deal
