334 PEPPER (POSSESSION + CCC = PERFECTION) #BLISS

Could you re explain the man marking aspect of this tactic that might be effective?

winger man mark opposition wingers and false 9 to mark the full backs?

might give this a go and will report back.

just to confirm - setting both your F9s to mark left back and right back of the opposition and your wingers to mark the opposite wingers does wonders to stop goals from crosses and reduces the defensive frailties of this tactic.

This tactic is awesome and I am smashing teams now.

Great work OP.

For some reason I wasn't able to reply with my lengthy response as it either had banned words or URLs in it, though it had neither.

I can't be arsed to write it again so here's the main points:

You're welcome Jonathan.

I found a work around for the red cards. When players get a yellow (or a 'Player was lucky not to get a yellow there' if you can spot it) use touchline team talk to tell the player to calm down. I haven't had a red since. Not ideal but better than the reds.

I'm trying the pacey CBs even if they're worse overall at the moment.

Thanks for the feedback man. I thought it would work. And they are F9s not shadow strikers

Touchline instructions are OP on this game but don't tend to use. Will give it a go though

Loving this tactic. Half way through first season with Juve im the leagues best attacking team and best defensive team.

Only concern I have is that my F9s arent really scoring all that much, which sometimes makes the tactic a bit unrealiable as I have to rely on other players, mainly midfielders.

Here are my F9 stats:
Simone Zaza 18 (7) games, 12 goals, 5 as
Alvaro Morata 16 (6) games, 7 goals, 5 as
Lucas Pratto 12 (8) games, 13 goals, 3 as
Paulo Dybala 18 (1) games, 8 goals, 3 as
Mario Mandzukic 3(6) games, 4 goals, 2 as

Im not saying its bad overall but players like Dybala and Morata really should do better

Oh yes, that's what I meant to ask. Why 'defending set pieces' rather than 'defensive positioning'?

I have found that too. The strikers seem to score 2 and then don't score for 3 or 4 games. If you set the wingers to stay wider and change CMs to rpm/bwm (d)/rpm and change the strikers to CF (s) or (a) the STs will become more prolific but that is a lot of messing around tbh. Personally the reason why the tactic works is because of the strikers movement creating space for either their strike partner or one of the wingers cutting in.

It's simple. I hate conceding from corners lol. I've found that with this set the team are better at getting out from the corner whether that be for a counter or just better shape to deal with a second ball

the V2.0 has been released, with the marking system (umbrella effect)
deployed after trying it out for 10 games a can conclude that
defensively the team fall into a preferrable shape quicker, with the
wingers now dropping into the WB position when opposition have the ball.
the strikers are set to mark aposing full backs, this stops the overlap
cross coming in majority of the time.

i would like to note this this tweak takes nothing away from the tactic
going forward, as possession and chances and more importantly goals,
are still there in abundence same as before just more defensively
solid which to be fair is all this tactic needed to be even better

the tactic in in the OP but i will include here aswell just incase
