Hi veez first off really love your tactic! I was wondering since wms are so deadly in your tactic i was thinking of adjusting your tactic to fully and completely abuse the wms to make them the main goalscorers for the team. I do not know if i am the only one who feels ths way but no role in the amlr position can quite replicate what the wm is doing in this tactic. Whether it is inside forward, raumdeuter, winger or AP the goals do not come quite so easily as with a wm. I am currently experiment with a few tweaks to bring the wms up a few notches. Will report back soon.

i really hope you manage to do what you set out for :)

You don't need any OI's with this one, that's the beautiful part :p

Just reached mid-point season 1 with Man Utd using V3 home and away. Very happy so far!

Transfers have been Jetro Willems as backup LB and Rugani at CB. Rooney (who I would sell but can't without upsetting the team is out for 7 months).

Results are fantastic, Mata has been a monster at AMCL - won both Golden Ball and World Player of the Year :)
Martial got himself Golden Boy at LM.

I have had the benefit of rotating between two teams for league and cup since Europa League is easy and the draw in League Cup was simple. Real test coming up in second half of season and then when back in UCL.

Only word of caution is to pay attention to yellow cards, easy for the DM to get red cards since you cannot remove tackle harder from them.

I'm loving this tactic for the most part but largely struggling to turn draws into wins. Unbeaten in 11 in my second season with Bilbao but 7 of those are draws. I was mainly using v1 but have recently been using v3, which has helped a lot but the problem with that is, as stated above, red cards. Any help?

a few people have mentioned that issue regarding v3

i'm off work today so i'll be looking into it :p

the main player affected is the DM to my knowledge. any other positions you are finding problematic?

For me, two DM(S) reduced a lot the number of cards received (tho I didn't make the comparison with the v3 but with the v1, since my DLP got something like 7 yellow cards and 2 red cards. When I use two DM(S), each one got something like two yellow cards and never received a red card.)

Oh, and CWB received some yellow cards too, but again, no red cards. Shoull I make them WB? (I meant to ask : Is a WB more or less susceptible than a CWB to get booked?)

When people are talking about V3 is that the V3 Flex you are talking about??

in regards to CWB's vs WB's in terms of bookings the outcome should e relatively equal, however, they will me more solid defensively as they are caught out less on the break due to not being so offensive and not roaming from position. still playing around with WB settings to see what works best.

in regards to the DM i'd change him back to a DLP for now

made a few changes to some player roles which i believe to have made improvements in the overall balance of the team, especially defensively. we also seem to recycle and keep the ball much more efficiently.

these are the first two games i played with the tweaks

View attachment 117440

changed the DM to a DLP with defensive duty, he is set to try more risky passes and tackle hard. due to most of the other players not receiving as many red cards as the DM and they all have manually set instructions to tackle harder and he was the bonly player with default tackle harder i concluded that the ME perceives them differently. my DM wasn't booked in any of these matches. hopefully my theopry is proven right :p

i also changed the CWB's to support which seems to give us more balance in defensive transitions through deeper positioning. this positioning also helps us to keep posession better going forward as they arent constantly in line with the opponents last defender looking for a through ball. they will now look to provide these through balls for their wingers. strangely, by not crowding that area of the pitch (because the opponent wingers follow them) our wingers seem to have more space. still early days though

also updated set-pieces

here is the updated tactic simply for testing purposes, if anyone wants to give it a go and report back with some feedback it would be much appreciated.

edit: add cross aim centre to the CWB's

I might try that version with a Palace save too. Think I will keep the default squad to see if it works with them.

following 2 games. didnt deserve to lose against city who created no real chances and had aguero score from range. we should have had another CCC in there as benteke missed two sitters clean through on goal.

the liverpool game was brilliant though! especially considering they are top of the league

hope this keeps up

edit: ouch!

Hey, im using the tactic with man utd too and similarly getting good results. I notice that you kept the match prep on match tactics from your screenshot. Can I ask what scheduling percentage you have the slider set to? Also why/how beneficial have you found that as opposed to switching to attacking movement or defensive positioning? Just curious though ill probably try all approaches out in the end myself :)

great result! :D

but was 3-0 up and conceeded 2 free-kick goals so that might still need some work

edit: becoming quite the specialist at london derbys :p

The changes you have made seem to have made a massive difference to the amount of cccs being created judging by your screenshots. I guess my balancing the tactic more the team is creating chances more diligently, looking forward to to further updates and trying this when i get time over the weekend

i actually thought i had set my assistant manager to handle match training lol just changed to def positioning. i'd say it all comes down to what sort of team you are playing with. a high quality team will have a mean defence even without defensive match training, so i'd set it to attacking movement, and vice-versa
