Well it's been an ok start, tactic is just about fluid so will be changing traiing shortly.

Mixed results but on the whole decent so far and I have quite a few players not in natural positions.

Thank god for Felipe Anderson though, what a player this tactic!

I have to say this is not working well for Lazio. Not losing but become a bore draw specialist. We can't seem to score at all.

Also getting a LOT of yellows and RED cards.

could be the tweaks i made to the AMC that are hindering you in regards to goals. how are they faring?

any arear of the team you feel is particularly not performing besides goalscoring?

although i am finding that having the CWB's on support seems to make the team sit deeper. this can lead us to not be as dangerous going forward, creating less chances, despite the more objective AMC's with the EG role, which i am enjoying as they dribble less and work very well together, setting each other up often.

i've changed the CWB's to WB's on attack duty and the DLP to DM on support so that he sits a little deeper due to the more offensive WB's

first match we created more chances and goals right away

edit: the changes really have made a difference going forward

conceeded from a free-kick and an own goal

I think this also happens because most serie A teams tend to play very defensive (too defensive in this game imo) which doesn't fit the strikerless concept of drawing opposition in first place.

makes sense, havent played Seria A this year yet

Hello m8, which version? ;)

Would you mind sharing the (latest) version you're using right now, Veez? Can't wait to try it as soon as I get home from work!

it's been the same for the last years, most teams would play ultra-defensive even against newly promoted sides like my San marino. SI don't have a clue about italian football. Brazilian leagues are the same. Feedback regularly ignored, of course. Might as well called this Premier Manager and fuc*k all the rest. Loved the series for almost 20 years but at my age I think I'm done with this non-sense

This is very interesting as I have gone a very similar route with my own tweaks on your v667.
Wingbacks to attack
DM to a Defensive Midfielder - Defend (I do not like the fact that the Support version has Hard Tackles perma-selected, I always take it off when the player gets a booking)
I have also used the OIs recommended by a user recently, with Closing Down Always set to MR, ML, AMR, AML.

Just had my best season to date with these changes.

Question about the Enganche change you made, as most of my players (semi professional side in Wales) do not have a good role suitability rating for this particular 'specialist' role.

Would you recommend using the role anyway, even if they rate better as a Shadow Striker?
What I might do is set up the individual players so that when they play at AMC, they automatically play either Shadow Striker or Enganche based on their role suitability.

Have you tried 1 Enganche & 1 Shadow Striker?

you had mentioned that before. i understand where you're coming from, although i do hope you don't give up on us, we appreciate your insight even though SI might not :P

are you brazillian?

great feedback dude, cheers :)

i'll try the DM on defense too and wee how it fares

the other user mentioned tight marking on opposition wingers, i've been using it as well, but might add closing down too now.

is there a way of setting default OI's?

i prefer the enganche as they don't dribble and seem to be much more objective on the ball (less stupid decisions), they also combine very well together.

role suitability is important though, so i'm not sure what i would do. just need to test it out

i havent tried one SS and one EG, but i have though of it though :P as it is a combination that would make sense, but my OCD is a sucker for symetry lol when i make an asymetric tactic it has to be really crazy

edit: with the DM on defensive duty he has no hard tackling but closes down more, how have you found this to work?

Thanks!

I meant Tight Marking, not Closing Down!! Sorry - at work and (dangerously) going from memory as I cannot access the game :)

(I have symmetry OCD as well with tactics :D )

When in the tactics screen, there is an 'Opposition' section at the top, set the OIs there.
Then after you have submitted your team for a match, the second or third screen after that is OIs and they will show there if you have some preset (you may need to toggle from seeing players to positions - and you seem to need to do this once for Home games and once for Away games, and then they stay set)
