From all the tactics in this year by now, this is the one that achieve me the better results!
Good work mate!

Sadly i miss to play with strikers, there are many great strikers in this game to leave them out of a team regardless of the tactic!
That´s the main reason why i don´t like strikerless tactics!

Hope you can bring some tweak of this with 1 or 2 strikers!
Once again, good work!

I use strikers retrained as SS. Best fit.

Thanks dude! I definately understand that some people will prefer to play with strikers, i've always liked to be different though :P

If the tactic keeps going strong someone will definately stick at least one striker on the end of it at some point lol a couple users were actually talking about that yesterday on the thread coz the WM's are só strong and they wanted to exploit that by turning it into a 442.

But the WM's perform so well precisely coz of the space opened up by the SS's coming deep for them to cut inside and get on the end of through balls into space, mostly assisted by precisely the SS's.

Think the tactic is definately solid as a whole both offensively and defensively and changing the SS's to strikers will change that cohesion and you'd probably have to find a different balance within the team to be as effective.

I am impressed. I used sicilian defense from fm 16 until now, but since the latest updates the strikers are ****, and the opponents score too many goals on the counter or because of the DCs pushing forward from their position.

But now your tactic seems the perfect replacement for it. Even the positioning is somehow similar, so it is not a huge change. Thanks mate.
Thanks for giving it a go and for your feedback mate :)

Post some of your results when you can

Started a Leicester save with it.

Had to dump a few players and replace so fluidity might take a while but won 2 and lost 1-0 away at Chelsea so far.

Yes i did allot of tweaks regardless on the SS´s with 2 strikers, different roles, 1 striker and 1 SS and it´s not the same thing!
Always come back to this one, it´s so damm effective and solid! Just miss the strikers like i said!

Thanks mate. Are these the only changes to the original? Genius by the way

yeah, appart from the flexible approach there were a few changes to team instructions too that i posted there.

the WB instructions are the ones im testing atm, so you can use CWB's as the flexible tactic if you prefer

corners and free kicks

I've never messed with free kick defense, for corners though I feel really good about my setup. I've tried all sorts of different corner routines for attack, this corner for attack is easily the most successful IMO https://strikerless.com/2016/11/08/scoring-corner-goals-has-never-been-easie/#more-4486

For defending corners, take the defenders off of marking the posts and them have them zonally mark the box. In a strikerless formation I'd put your CB with the best aerial ability as the first defender and have your next best (non-CB) aerial player behind him. Set your other CB to mark tall along with one of your other players who has decent jumping reach and heading. I put my fastest player out in the area on top of the box to facilitate counters and everyone else is just set to "get back." Depending on if you wan to focus more on being solid defensively or on countering, you can set one player to "sit forward" and have them on the midfield line or you can add them in with the 4 other players who are zonally marking the box. I never scored many goals on the counter after corners anyways, so I prefer having another player zonally marking the box but I don't think it's too important either way.

I've never tested a different corner setup defensively only because this one has always worked well for me and has always worked much better than the default corner defense. I can screenshot how I'd set up defensively in your formation when I get home later tonight too if that would be helpful.

As said earlier in this thread, dont worry bout not using strikers...u can use strikers in this tactic...either retrain them as shadowstrikers, or just put them in that position even if they're not "natural" or "good".
They still doing great.
I rotate on 4 natural strikers, and they score ALOT.

Sounds great, but i cant find the files even after unblocking them...;(

There's my defensive setup. Fastest player (or least useful defensively) up top, best CB in the air zonally marking the 6 yard box near post, other CB man marking a tall player, next best player in the air man marking a tall player. If you want to put the back player zonally marking the 6 yard box upfield to try and score more goals off the counter you can try that also, I just never really scored in those situations.

This is the defensive setup of corner that i have been using lately! It don´t give me that goals on counter like some setups on this forum, but as prove me to be the best on defending! I rarely grant goals to the opponent!

I think this defensive setup is from one of Zyndar´s tactics, i just don´t remember witch one!
Just leaving this here if someone wants to try!
