The Brazilian league is extremely competitive! In South America you have little to no money and most players are expensive!
 
i have set one of my dmc's to run from deep often just to provide extra bodies on the counter, when we attack i usually have 4-6 bodies which is good, i'll go into depth and post screenies at the weekend
 
Sorry for the late reactions guys. I am in the last 2 days of a project at work so extremely long days. Looking forward to all the updates and hopefully I can do some more tweaks and tests myself over the weekend! Keep those replies coming :)

will do some more testing at weekend but i'm with stoke, currently have the cm set to hold up the ball and play through balls often so the wingers can run off him, however would you reccomend setting my back four to man-marking as in my first friendly (1-1) draw, i got exploited out wide a bit their goal came from a cross, will keep you updated with how mine goes

correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think "have the cm set to hold up the ball" and counter work well together

I would agree with this since the point is to get to the other goal as quick as possible.

good point i (stupidly) overlooked that, however gonna keep it on and see how it does, as so far it has allowed me to pile more men forward

Well, i have tested for 4 to 5 games, but im on a long term save, didn't post any SS because people say that i have the best players and it will not give an accurate idea of its value.

I use shouts and OIs, but would really like for others to test it.

The assumption of the tactic is the way Real plays against barca. Very deep line, 2 wingers and fast counters. It needs a lot of work and that's way i've posted

ive just played barca with my version and drew away 0-0 in semi of champions league, messi didnt have a sniff at goal haha :)

i shouldve maybe got the away goal aswell, just about to play the 2nd leg now
 
made a few tweaks including unticking hold up ball for my cm pretty decent result, but the stats are more impressive:

as you can see whilst we only had 3 half-chances View attachment 318620

they had, yes that's right zilch, nil point View attachment 318621

also only 4 sunderland shots in the entire game View attachment 318625

then you compare this to our shots and successful crosses View attachment 318626View attachment 318627

conclusion: i know it's only Sunderland, but not only did we nullify them we carried a far more significant attacking threat :)

why the best players? or are they all newgens ;)

like the way you think of real vs barca.


i'm stil trying with the original formation and some tweaks for little conceding and fast outbreak for my goals.

maybe i can try your tactic for the smaller teams cause that are the games i barely winn. mustly 1-0

that mustly the reason why everyone is tweaking the original.

same as my final with ajax in the first season.
won 2-1 to real.



now for second season won the dutch league and now playing semi final against porto.
