Agreed but he made it much more inevitable. It would have give them much more push and it did. You cant hide the fact he let his country down today bigtime.

Or, we could have taken our chances and not in this position. Factor yes, silly yes. But hang his head? give over, lots of other factors.
 
Stop arguing about Rooney, look at all those people running on the pitch celebrating, they're even taking chunks of the pitch. That's what's so wonderful about football, despite all the **** going around.
