French 2nd Division moneybags ended Adam Smith's 15 years at Aberdeen. After being handed a starting spot at a young age he's spent our golden period as a back up midfielder more often 3rd choice. He asked for a move in the summer but no offers came in so a similar request came in late December and Montpellier came up with £11m, well below the asking price but with very little money moving around it was a offer i couldnt turn down with so many MC kids coming through.

We started a bit nervously but after 20 minutes we were in full flow and it was a miracle we didnt lead at the break. Stelios made sure that didnt run long into the 2nd half and a 2nd from Klien let me relax with a solid advantage going into the 2nd leg but another from Klein and a 4th from Macauley will earn a few of them a day off for the 2nd leg

Man Utd and Real Madrid are the surprise teams going out especially with a 37 year old Harry Kane strike helping Tottenham across the line. Rangers put up a brave fight against Premiership leaders Man City but ended up going out 3-2 over the 2 legs.


Klein has given himself his best shot at winning his first Champions League Golden boot moving 4 goals clear with a maximum of 5 matches for the top 3 scorers to add to there total. 17 is the record and it too 16 for Nieto to win his 2nd award in a row last year.

Title is back in the cabinet before the split which features Morton, Falkirk & Hamilton in the top 6 with Raith missing out by 1 goal. Hearts & Hibs seem to be the first teams to drop off without transfers despite Hibs clearly having the best regens in the past 10 seasons. Bottom two are again cast adrift and will fight with themselves for bottom spot or the play-off. Forgot about the old firm. Only one can be in the Champions League qualifiers next season so whoever ends up 3rd will be in the Europa League

Not sure how we lost this one? Dominated the game but our own defense was our downfall with Emerson giving PSG the lead and the 2nd strike from Holman might have ended the tie since we need 2 away goal just to force extra time.

Well we went to Paris and despite building a bigger wall as former midfielder Pedro Sousa put the French champs 3 goals clear. Klein's 15 strikes in the champions league this season could give him the golden boot at last. Only Nieto is left with 3 games to haul back a 5 goal difference.

Despite being the better team it took till the last kick of the game for Tsaousakis to complete the domestic treble for the 4th season in row. Motm was our back up wing back to sum up how the team overall had a off day.




Safe to say despite our lack of goals in the final it didnt stop us scoring a record 21 goals in our 5 games. Helps that the only top flight opposition we faced was the Old Firm

Aberdeen finish on 109 points our best total in a few seasons. No signs of the domination coming to a end yet but the key career players will all be in there 30's next season. Rangers are the clear 2nd force in the league at the moment backing up a good European run with wrestling 2nd spot and a Champions league spot off Celtic. Both were miles clear of Scotlands 4th force Morton while Falkirk and Hamilton swap with Hearts & Hibs to reach the top 6. At the bottom its been St Mirren & Forfar adrift with Forfar more often than not in last spot and thats where they finished with St Mirren heading to the Playoffs once again.

Two former SPL teams Ross County and St Johnstone now fall into League 1 but not joining Dundee Utd who finally return to the Championship

Man City retain the title and are clearly the top team in England at the moment. West Ham broke into the top 6, not with there kids as you may expect with there academy but a very middle aged squad
The Dortmund rebuilding job is complete as they grab there first title in 19 seasons with the dethroned Leverkusen in 2nd and Hoffenheim getting the final Champions League spot. Bayern drop into the Europa League with Schalke and Hamburg.
Inter also return to prominence with there 1st title in 8 seasons after they and AC Milan both got 84 points it came down to a head to head record. Roma were only 2 points behind and 2 further back in a extremely close seasons was former champions Napoli
In Spain however some things never change. Real win the title by 7 points as Barcelona & Atletico finish tied for 2nd. Valencia suddenly appear as a force in 4th spot just a point behind and another familiar stat is Bilbao featuring a 33 year old scoring 22 goals a season. Anyone remember Villalibre??

Stelios makes a major impact in his first season as starter possibly forcing former star player Viscovich out of the team. Pesce will be a interesting case. Was the top player before injury but his recovery will determine if he stays as a starter or not. Klein remembered where the net was again.

We started on the wrong foot as Morton took the lead through there striker Daniel Walker but we quickly fought back as Gunciu & Micael turned the game around by half time. Evensen made it 3 right from the break and we finished them off with Micael & Miller scored the 5th.




We are now 15 seasons and 62 games unbeaten in the League Cup winning the last 7 and 14 of our total 20 League cup wins. 8 Wins away and we'll be the most time winners.

It was all going so well till Chelsea went down to 10 men. We had already rushed into a 3 goal lead when Zakora's red card should have ended the tie until England striker Steve Holmes made the 2nd leg relevant and they have hope for the 2nd leg.

Real Madrid hold the first leg advantage from the home leg too, Noticed there first goal is a former Aberdeen u20 player who i let go for £160k

What a game or second half as it turned out to be. Seconds after calling for calm at half time and to protect there lead Burguez had Chelsea back in the tie and 6 minutes later Manea made Chelsea's task back to needing 2 goals. Longstaff got them both within 3 minutes and we were all level at 4-4 and an away goal each. 4 minutes later the tie's decisive goal came through Jose Henrique our 2nd away goal meaning Chelsea needed 2 in the last half hour to go through. We looked the more dangerous and Chelsea got the first part of there comeback but it took until the 91st minute and by then it was too late and the game ran out so we reached our 3rd final and this one is at OLD TRAFFORD.

An amazing result from the 2nd leg in Madrid as Atletico turn a 2 goal defeat into a 6 goal win at home. They have also won 2 Champions League titles in this save but thats from 5 efforts.
