Southampton 3-4 Chelsea
Love 2, Coda
Almost completed the fightback against chelsea and had them on the run for the last 10 minutes but was just short of that winning goal

Bolton 1-2 Southampton
Vagner Love 2
A superb comeback from Vagner love, i mean southampton as we jumped above Bolton in the leauge

Southampton 1-1 Wolves
Love
A late late equaliser from our star striker ment we escaped with a point in a poor performance

Southampton 0-1 Everton
A big 3 points for Everton who got there goal from the penalty spot then parked the bus and somehow kept us out

November month review - Another mixed month although we worrying got worse results as the month went on. Expected to struggle against chelsea but should have done better against everton and Wolves

View attachment 60224

Player of the month - Vagner love is the clear pick since he scored all but one of our goals

View attachment 60223

Southampton 2-1 Burnley
Sidwell, Coda
Dominated the match, burnley's only chance was right at the death

Southampton 0-1 Man City
a reasonable Performance and result against the leauge champions

Stoke 2-2 Southampton
Vagner Love, Coda
Almost got the 3 points but stoke scored a late goal to nab a point

Birmingham 5-2 Soutampton
Love, coda
Second half from ****. Was 2-1 up at halftime an totally fell to pieces in the second half

Southampton 0-0 Arsenal
Parked the bus as arsenal let both barrells loose but the shutters were firmley up today. A point gained

Southampton 1-2 Newcastle
Love
Halfway point in the season and a major dissapointment in loosing at home to Newcastle leaving us 1 point above the drop zone

Southampton 3-1 QPR
Leon, Mareco, Love
Was 1-0 down at half time so gave the boys the riot act and it made the difference as we came back to finally win

december month review - Wasnt a terrible month for results but went we went bad it was very bad. Will have to make some smart moves in January

View attachment 60499

Player of the month - Coda came back from the reserves to score some vital goals and push out Fernandez who is flopping badly at the moment

View attachment 60500

Southampton 2-2 Blackburn
Love 2
Stumble into getting a point with another double from super vagner love

Liverpool 2-2 Southampton
Coda, Aguilar
This was the game that come to life in the last 7 minutes when Coda leveled it up and looked to have earned a point until a 90th minute strike from Ozil looked to have ended it. However Aguilar struck a piledriver in the 94th minute to give us a well earned share of the points

Fulham 2-3 Southampton
Love 2, Garcia
Stormed into a 3-0 lead that we looked good value for. Where this display came from i havent a clue but cant complain about our first win in 8 games

Wolves 2-4 Southampton
Johnson, Coda 3
A boaring 0-0 first half followed by an all action goalfest in the second with Coda leading the charge with a hatrick

Southampton 5-0 Leeds - Fa Cup 4th Round
Zinga, Coda, Love 2, Schniederlin
A Convincing Win Soured by another Pointless red card for Caceres while 4-0 up

Southampton 2-2 West Ham
Destro 2
Not one of our better performances but a super sub performance from desto Almost was enough to get the 3 points but west ham got a last minute equaliser to give them a deserved point

Southampton 5-1 Hull
Love 2, Zinga 2, Destro
A great way to end a great month on hte pitch. Now its down to me to make it a good month off the pitch by looking for some new players

January month review - Awsome month Unbeaten and lots of goals scored as our attacking four players became more settled

View attachment 60578

Player of the month - Coda got a impressive Hattrick in the leauge to cement his place up front

View attachment 60577

Transfer window
By far my busyest January transfer window so far. Made two major signings firstly Diego Benaglio to play in goals because as good as Fulea may be for his age he has shipped alot of goals so maybe a better keeper will bring do my defense some good. The second major signing was Per Skjelbread from Liverpool for £7.5m. Didnt really need another midfielder but when he came up at a good price i decided to go for it. ONly other newbie is Fernando Canaveaghi whos on loan from chelsea till the end of the season, Also needed another centerback but failed to get anyone in.

However, more players went out than went in First was Fernandez my star player in the first two seasons wasnt playing well, wasnt happy and wouldnt sign a contract so when i got a £12.25m offer from empoli i didnt have to think twice. Tavlaridis was into his 30's and not playing. Pedro leon was demoted to the bench after a few dodgy performances and almost doubled my money on him, And the final two Bialkowski and Aguilar were not needed with Benaglio and Skjelbread coming in

love to see southampton back in top of premier league well done great job

Man Utd 5-0 Southampton
If we ever had a uber tricky tie to start out with a new looking team this had to be it. We were royally humped and then some. With that said out first 3 center backs are out injued or suspended and will also miss the villa game

Southampton 4-3 Aston Villa
Love 3, Beck
We were second Best here and had lost teh match until with 10 minutes left Richard Dunne was sent off and we went all out attack to get two late goals from Vagner Love to secure another 3 points

Southampton 1-0 Ipswich - FA Cup 5th round
Destro
despite us having two quality strikers and no defenders it too 91 Minutes for a goal to arrive through sub destro to put us into the 6th round

Tottenham 3-0 Southampton
Was 1-0 down and decided to go for it to try and nab a equaliser but Spurs got us twice on the counter and walked to victory

Southampton 3-3 Sunderland
Love, Garcia, Zinga
What a match Sunderland were 1-0 up at halftime Love got a equaliser before sundeland went back infront. With that we put a 3rd forward on and fought through to be 3-2 up with 10 minutes left just for Darren Bent to score a last minute equaliser

Febuary month review - With New players settiling in and a huge injury list means im quite pleased to progress to the quarter finals and pick up 4 points with two tough away days to Man Utd and spurs

View attachment 60767

Player of the month - No Stand out player over the month but Love's Hatrick against Aston Villa almost single handedly got us 3 points in that match. Has certainly been worth his £23m price tag

View attachment 60766

Southampton 4-0 Man Utd
Love 2, Caceres, coda
By a mile our best result since i took over. Still short of a few defenders but hopfully this wil be us moving towards the top 10 teams

Fa Cup Semi Final gives us a chance of getting through to a final against either chelsea or Man City

View attachment 61213

Southampton 2-2 Bolton
Johnson, Coda
Back to the real world after that fluke. A even game but we lost the 3 points as bolton equalised in the 88th minute

Everton 3-2 Southampton
coda 2
This was our worst result of the season. 2-0 and a man up at half time we somehow threw it away to a james Vaughan hattrick

Chelsea 1-0 Southampton
After seing Chelsea win there last match 7-1 against champions and leauge leaders Man City i was quite concerned but only 1 goal in it wasnt too bad

Burnley 0-1 Southampton
Zinga
THis was us basicly securing our place in the top flight next season 10 poitns above religation with 4 games left

March month review - Getting through to the Fa Cup Semi's is a great achievent especially how we did it but dissapointing results against Bolton and Everton brought a slight damper to the month

View attachment 61211

Player of the month - Coda became a goalscoring machine at the start of this month

View attachment 61211

Southampton 5-1 Stoke
Love 2, Coda, Zinga, Skjelbred
Our most decisive win of the season as our attacing forces came out to warm up before the Fa Cp Semi

Everton 0-6 Southampton
Coda, Love 2, Zinga, Johnson, O'G
Totally smashed Everton to walk into the FA Cup final against Man City

Man City 2-0 Southampton
Got totally owned by Man City not a good omen for the cup final

Southampton 2-0 Birmingham
Coda, Hutton
A match the was over in the first half hour as birmingham never put up much of a fight

Arsenal 3-3 Southampton
Love 2, Agirre
A match Arselan probably shoud have won but we fought for the point and were maybe a tad unlucky that we didnt hold on when we went 3-2 ahead

April month review - I'd have to say it was our best spell of the season with big win against rival teams and good results against the top teams

View attachment 61270

Player of the month - Love kept up his scoring run he's been on all season just 1 last game for him to perfrom his magic in

The 2012 FA Cup Final

View attachment 61292

On the 12th of May 2012 Southampton will be looking to with the Fa Cup for the first time since 1976. To have any chance of winning they will need a performance from the competitions top scorer Vagner Love if they are to have any chance of beating Man City who have won the last 3 premiership titles

Southampton 2-0 Man City - Fa Cup Final
Garcia, Love

WE WIN!!!!

In a stunning display of park the bus and counter attack has Give southampton there 3rd trophy in 3 seasons and there biggest trophy so far. Progressing this far shows that if we work hard next season we might not be too far away from a champions leauge place

2011/2012 Season Review
Premiership
Did well right at the start to go top, September to december was terrible dropping to being right abouve the religation zone then the fresh faces over january made a huge difference to drag us up to my highest target and finish 10th

View attachment 61344View attachment 61343

Carling Leauge cup
Went out on penaltys in hte 3rd round to a fellow premiership team. Would have liked to go further but played a youthfull team so no surprise that i didnt

FA Cup
Incase you didnt notice i won, beat both manchester teams and Everton to get the trophy.

View attachment 61342

Player of the season
1st - Vagner love
Having replaced Fernandez as my lead striker he also scored enough goals and performed amazingly enough to take my player of the season award home to sunny Brazil to proudly show to his family during his summer break

View attachment 61345

2nd - Francisco Coda
A year older but lost non of his skill infront of goal bagging 19 goals and 14 assists this season. Hard to see how i can improve on him as my 2nd forward

View attachment 61346

3rd - Simon Zinga
Winger didnt take long to grab back his place on the right wing after Pedro Leon failed to live up to my expectations. Will be tricky for him to survive another season in the first team unless he improves alot over the summer

View attachment 61347

Season overview - Again i finished the season more than satisfyed. Was as successfull as i had hoped for in the leauge, Won a trophy, that was beyond anything i'd imagined and have apretty decent squad in place to challange for a european place

Premiership - 10th
FA Cup - Winners
Carling Leauge Cup - 3rd Round

How did the new players do well as always soton Legend Matt Le Tissier tells us how the new players did in the top division

Steve Sidwell - Was a squad player through the season and if the right offer comes in he'll probably be sold in the summer

Adam Johnson - Nothing Impressive but got just over 7.0 for his season raiting but doesnt
seem to be anywhere near as good here as he is in real life

Javi Garcia - Did his job and supplyed 12 assists from his midfield position. Will probably be around next term

Alan Hutton - His fitness was pathetic struggled all season. Main target signing this term is a left back so i can put beck on the right and sell hutton

Andres Beck - Spent the season out of position but was still alot better than Hutton

Nelson Rivas - Wasnt too bad but didnt justify his £7.5m transfer fee. Will get another chance next term unless i get a huge offer

Martin Caceres - 3 red cards was a big downside to his season but got a better raiting than the other centerbacks so turned out to be a very worthwhile addition to the team

Diego Benaglio - Arrived at the end of January as part of my long term plans to make the team more sold. Has helped to zip up the defence a bit but needs better quality infront of him to move forward

Per Skjelbred - Arrived on the same day as Benaglio and he has already claimed the first place in the middle of the of the park

Vagner Love - Saved the best to last. £23m has never been so well spent. Only question is can he come close to this form next term again?

Season 4 - 2012/2013

Summer started with a scenario that wouldnt have needed a second thought. Sir Alex Ferguson retired and Manchester United offered me the job as there new manager. The only way i'll become Man Utd manager is if i finish my mission with Southampton, and take a team from Spain and Italy to the top then maybe if i can do all this Man Utd would be the dream job.
View attachment 61617View attachment 61618

With a top 10 finish in the leauge last year i got just over £30m to play with
Season Targets 2012/2013 - My target is a natuaral progression from last season and go from the top 10 to Qualifying for the Europa Leauge. Neither cup is a priority and a good run in europe past the group stages, If i get that far!

Premiership - Qualify for Europe
FA Cup - Not concerned
Carling Cup - Not concerned
Europa Leauge - Knockout stage

Main signings
Matt Murray - Brought in on a free to give Fulea a season or two out on loan to get his value and experiance up

Anatoliy Tymoschuk - Also brought in on a free to give back up to the middle of the park. Might even break into the first team

Welliton - A £5m buy from Real Madrid was origionally my star new forward to parner Vagner Love but as the situation changed he will supply top quality back up

View attachment 61616

Gervinho - Found him on the transfer list and decide he was alot better than Adam Johnson so buying him was a no brainer

View attachment 61615

Edin Dzeko - When genoa had a £21m bid accepted, the cheepest i've seen him i had to go for him meaning i had no funds to get two defenders but hopfully Dzeko will get enough goals to compinsate

View attachment 61614

Leighton Baines - However i did have enough to get one new defender and Baines, possitionally is my most importaint addition to the squad

View attachment 61613

Main Player sales
Schniederlin, Puncheon and destro were all surplus to requirments so were moved on, First teamers last term Fulea and Agirre were loaned out to get regular football. Adam Johnson and Alan Hutton were both replaced and the rest of the players were loaned out for experiance

2012 Community Shield
Southampton enter there second ever season cutain opener looking to avenge there 1976 defeat against the team they beat in the FA Cup final

The match
Southampton 3-1 Man City
Dzeko hatrick

Our new £21m man took a instant course in being a Southampton hero by blitzing Man City as our season gets off to a winning start

Match Report
After a quiet first 20 minutes Dzeko took his 1st stride into the match by firing southampton into the lead. The lead however would only last a further 11 minutes before Franck Ribery equalised for the leauge champions for the first half to run out 1-1 with Man City starting to take conrtol of the match. Southampton came strieght out the blocks in the second half and Dzeko struck the second goal in what would turn out to be a quiet second half, dominated by substitutions until the 87th minute when Any hope of a Man City revival was killed off with a red card for Nigel de Jong and just to complete a perfect day in Dzeko land with his 93rd minute goal to complete the hatrick and the day for southampton fans

Aston Villa 2-2 Southampton
Love, Dzeko
Were very unlucky to not get 3 points today only a last minute Pandev equaliser saved villa's blushes

Wacker Innsbruck 0-3 Southampton - Europa Leauge fouth qualifying phase
Garcia, Welliton, Zinga
An easy win which should ensure we progress with a few youths getting a run out next time

Southampton 7-0 Wacker Innsbruck - Europa Leauge fouth qualifying phase
Mareco, Jarvis 3, Sidwell, Tymoschuk 2
Back up players did a awsome job as we walked into the next round
agg 10-0

August month review - A month with little action domesticly but a easy progression through the qualifyers of the europa Leauges and a point away in the leauge

View attachment 61987

Player of the month - Dzeko - A hatrick against Man City is enough to win any award as well as playing a key role in his only other match against Villa

View attachment 61985

Europa Leauge Group - A very tought group to Overcome with both Benfica and Lazio posing major compition for qualification

View attachment 61986

Southampton 5-0 Newcastle
Dzeko 3, Gervinho, Zinga
A convincing win lead by another Dzeko hatrick

Southampton 1-2 Arsenal
Gervinho
A dissapointing score considering our start to the season but beating the big 5 is still a level abouve us

Sunderland 2-2 Southampton
Wellington, Love
Another game and anotehr depratly unlucy full time score. Came back from 1 down to lead 2-1 untill sunderland got a 92nd minute penalty to steal a point

Benfica 1-3 Southampton - Europa Leauge matchday 1
Love, Gervinho, Zinga
Our debut in the Europa Leauge went down very well as we had control of and is a great start to our efforts to qualify to the knockout stages

Southampton 0-0 Wigan
Previous results were unlucky but this time it was a terrible performance especially with the quality of forwards we had

Aston Villa 4-1 Southampton - Leauge cup 3rd round
Coda
Put out a young team and they were crushed by a full strength villa team

Southampton 2-2 Chelsea
Vove 2
Damm Damm Damm Damm. Was 2-0 up at half time and yet again we let the game and 3 points slip through our hands. A frustraiting end to a frustraiting month

September month review - A month that shows were very very close to being good enough to challange the teams in the Champions leauge while not quite being good enough yet

View attachment 61997

Player of the month - Vagner Love came back to the form he was in last season after a quiet start to the season

View attachment 61997

Southampton 2-1 Lazio - Europa leauge match day 2
Love, Skjelbred
Ran away with the game in the early running and was pretty comfortable till Caceres got sent off right at the start of the second half but we held on to win our second tricky match

Fulham 3-2 Southampton
Garcia, Dzeko
Another dose of terrible last minute luck as with the match evenly poised at 2-2 Krisztian Nemeth struck in the 91st minute to grab the 3 points

Bolton 1-2 Southampton
Dzeko 2
Another game made much trickyer by a poor disiplined defender but at least this time we held on and got a much needed 3 points

Southampton 4-0 Brann - Europa Leauge match day 3
Coda, Welington 2, O'G,
After some of the players were getting tired after european matches so played back up players for our easyest game in the group and we had no problems beating them

Southampton 2-1 Liverpool
Love, Mareco
Finally we get some luck against the big 5. Was a even game although we had the luck snatching the two goals. Liverpool got a late goal but it was too little too late

October month review - Started badly in the leauge with defeat to Fulham however the rest of the month has gone right to plan keeping a 100% record in europe and getting a win against Liverpool

View attachment 62234

Player of the month - Our first ever three way tie. Vagner Love and Dzeko were responsable for the goals but Zinga was supplying them for fun

View attachment 62231View attachment 62232View attachment 62233

Just read myself up again. Still a nice story :) Keep it up mate ;)

Everton 1-3 Southampton
Love 2, Gervinho
Our best away day performance of the season by far. Walked all over Everton today to get a well earned 3 points

Brann 2-1 Southampton - Europa Leauge match day 4
Reed
oops, Maybe went a bit too conservative with Man City up next. Despite our defeat were still 4 points clear so victory in eitehr of our final matches would be enough to progress

Southampton 3-1 Man City
Zinga, Skjelbred, Love
A massive win for us today making it 3 wins in a row agains tthe champions

Tottenham 1-0 Southampton
A very close match which was decided with a 81st minute strike by Arron Lennon. Spurs are up in 2nd place in the leuage so loosing here isnt a disaster

Man Utd 2-1 Southampton
Skjelbred
A devistating result after we were 1-0 ahead till the 86th minute when Wayne Rooney struck his first of his two decisive strikes to steal a traditionally late victory for Utd

Southampton 3-0 Leicester
Tymoschuk, Love, Dzenko
A simple win to end the month after 3 very hard matches

November month review - The win against everton makes me think were well up for the fight fot getting to Europe on leauge merit and and the matches against Spurs and Man Utd shows were not up to fighting for the top 4 yet

View attachment 62250

Player of the month - Vagner Love scored goals that lead us to all our wins so that gets him the award this time

View attachment 62249

Portsmouth 1-3 Southampton
Gervinho 3
A New striking star arrived today, Winger Gervinho came into the limelight with all three goals

Southampton 3-4 Benfica - Europa Leauge machday 5
Garcia, Zinga, Welliton
A Big defeat here as our young centerback Pesti had a utter mare being down to 3.6 at one point as we shipped 4 goals in 35 first half minutes. THis nightmare result means we must get a result in Rome otherwise were out!

Southampton 2-1 Stoke
Dzeko, Gervinho
A Struggle but our best performance after a tough European night with only Dzeko being fresh

Blackburn 0-2 Southampton
Zinga, Dzeko
A untroubled away 3 points as we had a nice run out here to warm up to our biggest match of the season against Lazio

Lazio 2-4 Southampton - Europa Leauge Matchday 6
Tymochuk 2, Love, Skjelbread
Decided to go out and attack with 3 attacking midfielders and it worked to get us a huge win to qualify

Our reward for qualifying is Spanish giants Valencia and if we can overcome them we have either Athletic Bilbao or Arsenal

View attachment 62280

Southampton 3-1 Birmingham
Welliton, Vagner Love, O'G
Glad to get a win that didnt look likley till the last 15 minutes where Vagner Love has come off the bench to win us the 3 points

Southampton 3-1 Aston Villa
Garcia, Dzeko, Lallana
A great win to start the second half of the season with a second 3-1 win over a brummie team in the week

Arsenal 3-0 Southampton
Hmm a bit of a downer to end the month on as we were soundly and deservadly beaten

December month review - Qualifyed for the Knockout stages after getting ourselfs into a tricky situation in the groups. Moved up to 6th in the table could have been better had i not screwed up with my tactics against arsenal

View attachment 62281

Player of the month - Benaglio our goalkeeper spent the month in the mid to high 7's and played a key role in our charge up the leauge

View attachment 62281

Southampton 5-2 Tottenham
Gervinho, Dzeko, Love 3
A superb win over the current premiership leader lead by Vagner Love, celibrating his place in the worlds team of the year

Southampton 2-4 Everton - FA Cup 3rd round
Coda, Welliton
Back up players got a run out today and were beaten by Di Santo who scored 3 and set up 1

Southampton 2-1 West Ham
Dzeko, Welliton
Had to wait till the last 5 minutes to sew up a well earned victory

Newcastle 4-3 Southampton
Lallana, Dzeko 2, welliton
A dissapointing result with a hattrick fron N'Gog doing the damage

Wigan 0-2 Southampton
Love, Zinga
Had to get back to winning ways after dropping points in Geordieland and a full strenght team had no problems beating Wigan

Southampton 1-1 Sunderland
Zinga
Dropping points at home was not the result we needed right now after creeping up towards the champions leauge

January month review - Dodgy results against the Tyne and Wear teams takes the gliss off our good start to the month. No major changes in the transfer window. In came Glenn Johnson from livepools reserve team and he replaced the unhappy Pieter Monteyne who wanted first team football. Were also still in touch with the final champions leauge place but i still dont think we'll get there this season.

View attachment 62300

Player of the month - Wellington has turned up with importaint goals so our 3rd choice striker gets the award

View attachment 62299

Southampton 4-0 Bolton
Lallana, Garcia, Love, Zinga
Match was won with 3 first half goals giving a few players a rest for the second half

Chelsea 2-0 Southampton
In a fairly even match Chelsea and Landon Donovan were just better infront of goal today

Valencia 0-1 Southampton - Europa Leauge first knockout Round
Love
Was a very hard earned win in spain but our parking the bust trick worked here and we have a away goal to take into the second leg

Southampton 3-1 Valencia - Europa Leauge first knockout Round
Love 3
Qualification assured single handedly achieved by Vagner Love. Arsenal up next

Febuary month review - Apart from the Chelsea result this was a perfect month. Defeat to chelsea throws open the race for the final champions leauge place

View attachment 63981

Player of the month - Vagner love singlehandedly got us through in europe and also scored against bolton to be our undisputed star of the month

View attachment 63980

Southampton 3-1 Everton
Dzeko, Love 2
Everton had a early goal dissalowd and that was as close as they came to getting a result today as our strikers made the difference

Liverpool 1-0 Southampton
A terrible result and our worst defeat of the season as we deservedto win this comfortably. LEaves us 7 points off liverpool in the race for 4th place

Arsenal 1-0 Southampton - Europa Leauge last 16
No result deserved thios time. Arsenal were the better team and deserved the win. Thankfully we kept the gap at 1 maing for a exiting second leg at the St Marys

Southampton 2-0 Arsenal AET - Europa Leauge last 16
Coda 2
We hammered arsenal for 93 minutes taking 83 of them to finally score through Coda who went on to get a second and desisive goal as we get through to the last 8 with a deserving win against the Gunners
AGG 2-1

Leicester 0-3 Southampton
Garcia, Love, Zinga
A surprisingly ease match considering we'd just had a Europa Leauge game go to extra time

March month review - As usual we had one bad result, Liverpool although we outplayed them. 4th is now 8 points away and looking a bit tricky with at least two more european matches ahead as well

View attachment 64861

Player of the month - Coda got the two goals just when it looked like we were going out of Europe so he gets the award this time
