Are you taking the France national vacancy?

I accepted the French offer to manage the National Team, they are a decent looking outfit and am going to try and get them playing with a similar style to Arsenal. If it doesn't work or ruins my enjoyment of being Arsenal manager I will not hesitate to retire.

Mourinho resigns as manager of Chelsea and is replaced by Antonio Conte.

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES

ARSENAL 3 ARSENAL UNDER 21s 2 Sanchez, Chambers, Campbell

BAYERN 2 ARSENAL 0

ARSENAL 2 ZARAGOZA 1 Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck

VALENCIA 3 ARSENAL 3 Coquelin, Welbeck, Ramsey

ARSENAL 2 SAN LORENZO 0 Welbeck, Bielik

ARSENAL 1 WIGAN 0

A fairly average selection of results, arguably the best two teams we faced were Bayern and Valencia away from home, unfortunately we were unable to pick up a win in either of these matches.

Injuries picked up:

Campbell out for 3-4 weeks with a fractured cheekbone

Gabriel Paulista out with a sports hernia for 4 weeks

We draw Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League Best Placed Playoff

Sell Wellington Silva to Wigan for £1.75M. (He was a reserve player so he does not free up any first team places but the transfer puts our budget up to £10.54M)

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BEST PLACED PLAYOFF 1st Leg

View attachment 276134Still rotating the squad heavily as I do at the beginning of every season, but it may have cost us here as we lose away from home (again) to a far weaker side.

Sanchez selected in the Olympics Games Dream Team.

Good update. Poor result at Plzen but it's early days. I predict a riot at home :p

What sort of players are Bielik and Lingard turning out to be?

Bielik is looking far better than the player he was the first season but I fear he may not be good enough, struggling to find any future stars at the moment. Lingard looks like a good purchase for the initial outlay, but he is never going to be more than a squad player at a club like Arsenal, he would boss a mid-table team.

I need to post some more results I have and will aim to later today but it is looking like I need to find a new tactic and formation as we are beginning to struggle.

Are you looking for a downloaded one or creating one yourself? May I suggest giving this one a try? It's the one I use and it can be devastating at its best.

Unbeatable (Almost) 5-3-2 Tactic

It was never in doubt, we qualify for the group stage of the Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 victory meaning we win 4-2 on aggregate.

Capital One Cup Third Round draw sees us play Chelsea at home.

Champions League Group Stage sees us face Hoffenheim, Porto and Rubin.

Walcott unhappy with the lack of first team football.

WORLD CUP QUALIFYING

View attachment 275983A solid first outing in charge of France. 43 shots could have meant more goals but the Lithuanian keeper played a blinder. Menez added the fourth goal late into the second half with a fantastic team move.

Walcott injured on international duty and will be out for 3 weeks with a twisted ankle.

Pogba injured in training.

Ozil out for 7- 10 days with a strained wrist.

WORLD CUP QUALIFYING

PREMIER LEAGUE

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

View attachment 275979At half time I was happy, my defensive formation had worked and we were leading 3-2, Wilson had scored his first goal and Lingard had recovered from his penalty miss in the last match and scored. Hoffenheim pulled a goal back and I made the decision to go attacking, 3 second half goals in less than 7 minutes made this far more embarrassing then it ever should have been.

Coquelin out for 5-6 weeks with strained knee ligaments.

PREMIER LEAGUE

View attachment 275978I've been concerned about the formation for a while, teams seem to be able to cope with us now. Watching the extended highlights we were well in the game and maybe slightly edged it, but it ended up a pretty decisive win by United. Back to the drawing board and a new tactic is being devised.

United always beat me at their place, very frustrating. Keep up the hard work mate.

So I have decided my tactic going forward will change to:

I literally checked the thread 5 minutes ago for an update lol

Looks like the change of tactic has worked (touch wood). 10 goals in 3 games in 3 different competitions is always nice. Not dominating possession but who cares when you're getting wins like that!

PREMIER LEAGUE

Fantastic bunch of results, with the exception of Liverpool but as it's not a match of importance it doesn't matter. Well done. The tactic seems to be working now, certainly getting the best out of Walcott, something which I'm struggling with.

I've started playing Maitland-Niles now, too, at AML inside forward. First game, scored a goal and had a match rating of 9.0. Also Giroud out for 8-9 months with damaged cruciate ligaments

And how the ****** **** do you get Fleetwood or Mansfield in the FA Cup - I always get Chelsea/Liverpool/Tottenham/United XD
