FEBRUARY

Another month goes by and we are still top although our lead has been trimmed slightly due to us drawing against Napoli. Consigli had kept 6 clean sheets in a row in the league until Napoli scored against him - he has played in every game for me since I took over.

Our Champions League dream is all but over after a 3 goal defeat in the away leg. The luck of the draw was non-existant this year!!

Finally I appointed Didier Drogba as my assistant for Ivory Coast, Kolo Toure as a coach and Didier Zokora as U20 manager.

We were awful first half and deservedly behind so after 55min I made a triple substitution. Guevara came on and won a penalty (58min) which Gabbiadini missed and my other two subs (Caprari and Fierro) combined to equalise on the hour mark.

Not getting the away goal is a disappointment but hey-ho. Shouldve finished 3rd in the group and tackled the Europa League (Benfica got Real Madrid in the draw)!

My favourite month!!! Not only does the season begin to get really interesting and the Champions League getting more difficult but also the youth intake comes along and this time their was 2 notable new recruits with the LB being described as one of the best of his generation!

There were a couple of other decent ones but they were the top 2.

I have been neglecting to tell you about my new feeder clubs. I think I said Beira-Mar but I also have Cannes, Charleroi, Mattersburg and the most recent one - Red Star Belgrade! Really chuffed about getting them.

On the field we had a mini slump in the league and are certainly in a title race now - no running away with it and we were eliminated from the Champions League unsurprisingly while my first 2 games as Ivory Coast manager ended with 1 win and 1 draw.

APRIL

Its going to be close!!!!! We end the month 3pts clear with 3 games to go but Inter Milan have a better head to head record so if we finish level on points they take the title!!! We have away games against Sampdoria and AC Milan and a home game against Roma while Inter play Juventus and Udinese away and Siena at home. Of course after all that we will meet in the Coppa Italia final!!

A few of my players won their first caps recently as Gabbiadini, Immobile and Tagliafico (who plumped for Argentina instead of Italy) all got selected. Hopefully Marilungo and Crisetig will get capped soon also.

I had a quick look at my finances and they are shocking!!! £18m in the red. I blame the board as they keep on giving me an extra £10-20m every January.

Pescara are sitting pretty in 5th so this isnt such a bad result (they had a goal disallowed too) but Juve won to keep the pressure on.

We were 2-0 down, 3-2 up and then threw 2pts away. Lucero set up all 3 goals for us. Juve drew but Inter are now level with them and 3pts behind us...............

I took a small risk and rested everyone apart from Consigli here and it paid off even though we fell behind early on. Inter won but Juve lost.....

Centurion injured his cruciate ligaments in this game and is out for 7-9 months!!!

You have inspired me to start a similar save to this. I chose Parma, I have fallen in love with the save and have developed a soft spot for the team. It hurts to see them in relegation trouble haha :(:'(

MAY

A nail biting end to the season was had here and we won both trophies but it wasnt done the easy way. We almost let the Serie A title slip through our hands as we only got 4pts from a possible 9 but we won the title by 2pts in the end.

In the cup final we were 2up inside 3min but had a man sent-off however we managed to win the cup for the 3rd time in our history.

Thats 3 major trophies I have won for Atalanta now but I am not going to rest on my laurels.

Oh oh!!!! It was 1-1 at half-time and then it went all wrong. Fierro had a goal disallowed, Zouma got sent-off and then Lucero gave away a penalty. Fortunately Inter could only draw with Juve (Inter had 2 sent-off) so the gap is down to 2pts............

We went into this game knowing that Inter won 3-0 so I am so proud of my players with this result. It was goalless at half-time but we got 2 quick goals after the break and that was that.

CHAMPIONS!!!!!! But only just! At half time Inter were winning and we were 0-0 despite dominating. Udinese quickly levelled in the other game and we kept squandering chances in our game. Then Balotelli struck with 10min to go and I feared the worst. Bonaventura equalised in the 3rd minute of stoppage time and then I had the agonizing wait for the other results to be processed to find out Inter drew as well!

DOUBLE WINNERS!!!!! We were 2up after 3min amazingly in this match and we never looked back as we managed to retain the cup. We even managed to hold on after Marilungo got sent-off.

Methinks I am short of a world class striker and world class right back. You will see my transfers in two posts time (played pre-season at work) but I didnt get a lot of transfer budget (£20m) so the treble wont be happening imminently.

Having said that I hear Fierro turns into a world class forward - I have been playing him RW - Gabbiadini has class attributes for a striker - and I am always on a look out for the next big thing. Centurions injury has probably ended any chance of him getting the nod.

Indeed!!! At the beginning of last season all I had was Willems. By the end of it I had him, Tagliafico, Lucero and the top prospect from the youth intake. Who will I sell first?

END OF SEASON POST

Well obviously this season couldnt have gone much better. We won the Serie A title for the first time, retained the Coppa Italia, got through a really tough Champions League group only to be screwed by the draw and lost the Super Cup to a last minute goal.

I did spend a bit, £50m net, and the clubs finances arent that great despite increased sponsorship deals so I am going to have to cut back now - the board will make sure of that!

Not that I am complaining. I have some amazing young players and I have some deals set up for some more to come straight into the youth team but who will get game time. I admit that I favour the ones that come in via my own youth intake like Saini and the God to be Signori.

PRE-SEASON

When I posted earlier that I had played the pre-season at work it was a little white lie as I played until mid July and tonight I decided to change tact slightly and maybe do some foolish things lol

I got given a £20m budget so there wasnt going to be any world class stars coming in through the door. However me being me I scoured the world for some regens and some a little closer to home.

All will be revealed................

I am not racist!! Honest!!! Just about every player who isnt Italian got sold during the summer and some for ridiculously low prices. I was a bit scared of the board going over my head and accepting bids for Gabbiadini (£20m) and Bertolacci (£18m) so I thought I would just promote from within for my backup players.

Jetro Willems went to AZ for £9m while Fierro (£7m) and Tagliafico (£4.1m) left for Roma. Kiko Femenia left for Genoa (£3.6m) while Lucas Zen will leave for Fluminense for the same price in January. Cason, Pugliese, Barlocco and Grassi were sold for a total of £3m.

Out on loan at the moment is Kecskes, Pavlicic, Valencio and Del Gatto. I should add that my director of football signed Siem De Jong on a free (pre-contract that I never realised I confirmed) so he is loaned out to Udinese for £1m.

Andrea Pirlo retired.

SUMMARY
For the starting eleven the only change is Aurier in at RB. All the others stay the same but as for the backups it is all change. Quintana (LW) is obvious but I have promoted Quitadamo (LB), Tortone (ST) and in January when Lucas Zen leaves Chierici (RB) will be in the first team squad.

Yeah but no lol. Was playing him RW or off the bench and he wasnt developing quick enough for my liking. I would rather develop a 16y/o Italian than a 21y/o Mexican!
