Jorge Fucile picked up a nasty injury which has sidelined him for up to 5 weeks and Hart decided that the cover for the right back position was not of the required standard for this years competitions.. He had spent a couple of days scouting Adam Matthews, a Celtic youngster.

A few days after arriving back, he made a formal offer, with negotiations ongoing for a couple of days they settled on a deal worth £7.5m for the young right back.

Hart was over the moon he was able to land such a great talented youngster..

Yes, I tried to follow that also.I read all the 27 pages of the story this morning, to bad I don't have more free time.

Looks like quite the attacking full-back , young good work rate and very highly balanced stats fantastic deal for only 7.5m considering is age

he does look like a great player, very happy with him, never seen him before!

I've seen him plenty of times. I'll always remember him as he was one of the first wonderkids I ever found. I'm not a fan of Jorge Fucile so he'd be my first choice.

I mean I have seen him as in seen him, but not signed him or seen him this good :)

West Ham United were drawn against French giants Olympique Marseille in their Champions League Best Playoff Leg qualification round.

On the brighter side of things, West Ham fans are overjoyed with their teams performance in the League, sitting first after 3 games and racking up 10 goals in the process after a demolition at Norwich!

With the narrow loss, West Ham will have to come to terms with playing Europa League football this campaign after a memorable season that saw them finish in 4th position...
