BaP: From Non-League to- uh, well, wherever the game takes you, I guess...

Poor season for Daniel, well maybe bitter sweet, only 2 games at Palace, but first senior international cap, hope for a better loan spell next year

Season 4 World Cup Special

- Jay Webster impresses for Australia, scoring 1 and assisting one in a 4-0 win over "giants" Liechtenstein in the build-up to the FIFA World cup in Russia. Webster plays all 3 games as Australia beat Portugal, but get knocked out of the group stage.
- Surprisingly none of us youngsters are called up for Ireland, as they beat South-Korea 5-0, but are also knocked out at the group stage.
- Hungary make a surprise visit to the World Cup, but shockingly, Balint Boz is not called up. They draw 2 games and lose 1 to leave early.
- England are not at the 2018 World Cup, as they are knocked out in the playoffs by Portugal after coming 2nd in their group, 1 point behind Ukraine.

Group Stages
View attachment 248990- The enormous success of the World Cup is Danishman Hans Christian Pedersen. He scores the winner vs Sweden in the opening game, and comes in from the bench to score again vs Uruguay. Another sub-appearance in the 3rd group game is not enough for him to start the 2nd round game vs Cameroon, but Denmark go through.

In the quarter-finals, Pedersen again plays the role as the super sub. He comes on at half time, and scores in the 46th minute! It ends up being the winning goal against Ukraine, as Denmark reach the semi-finals!

In the semi-finals, Denmark crush Argentina 2-0. Pedersen comes on in the 62nd minute, scoring the opener 2 minutes later. What a development, Denmark are in the finals, where they face Mexico!

Shockingly, still no room for Pedersen among the starting 11 for Denmark. Perhaps he is just best at coming off the bench to devastating effect?
5th minute: Mexico are on the attack and a dangerous cross hits right-back Peter Ankersen on the shin. It's deflected into his own net! Denmark 0 - 1 Mexico
45th minute:
Denmark have picked up the pace, but struggle to create chances. The teams go into the break at Denmark 0 - 1 Mexico
50th minute:
Corner for Mexico. Blackburn's CB, Diego Reyes, doubles Mexico's lead with a powerful header. Denmark 0 - 2 Mexico
50th minute:
Denmark manager Bernd Schuster takes action. He takes off a disappointing Simon Makienok and brings on Hans Christian Pedersen.
56th minute: Surely not! A perfect through pass from Eriksen finds the super-sub Pedersen, who makes no mistake. It's back on! Denmark 1 - 2 Mexico
61st minute:
PSG-star Christian Eriksen shows why he is paid £165K/week! Curls a free kick perfectly into the top corner. It's all square! Denmark 2 - 2 Mexico.
90th minute:
No one can break the deadlock. It's time for extra time!
103rd minute: Real Sociedad's Erik Sviachenko with a clumsy challenge, especially when he is already on a yellow card! The ref sends him off, and Denmark are down to 10 men.Denmark 2 - 2 Mexico
115th minute:
We're heading for penalties, but Denmark want it more. On the counter, Eriksen takes on 3 players on his own, beating them all and rolling the ball coolly past Ochoa. Surely it's all over! Denmark 3 - 2 Mexico
120th minute:
And it is! DENMARK ARE THE NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS

So enough of hailing Pedersen and Denmark. In the next update, you'll have the transfer window, and September screenshots.

So finally Pedersen became a legend somewhere else than in our hearts... I thought I'd never live to see this day.
Congratulations to Denmark for pulling off such a miracle and to Pedersen for the suddenly unexpected charisma stablishment. ^^

.P.S.: Neubauer's stats are from Sunderland U21's team, right?

The man, the myth, the legend, Pederson well done mate!

Webster is extremely unlucky, drawn against Brazil, Portugal and Egypt, that's just unfair!

So it's the boys playing their trade in Portugal (Webster and Pederson) taking the early advantage.

Wow, just wow! What a season that was, no doubt the best one I've ever had in a BAP before! Breaking the goalscoring record for both club and league, leading Denmark to World Cup glory, despite not having started one single game :) Perfect season, surely I'll be a contender for the Golden Boy :P

A good solid season for me! Hopefully I have learned a lot from the experience and do even better next season.

I'm genuinely surprised to read that.
Even if it's a Championship side the kid got to be a regular in it, and from Conference North to Championship in three is not bad for a youngster.

Pleased to get another season on loan in the SPL. With my stats I should do a great job. Looks like I've had a good start anyway.

Tommy Chong still getting goals when he gets the game time with West Brom. Hopefully he can cement a first team spot soon!

4.1 millions for Neubauer? Heck, Sunderland sure knows how to do their business... They buy a youngster for 60k and then sell him one year later for a value 68 times higher what they paid for.

But I can understand why Burnley paid so much for a youngster though, those stats are brutal for a 19 y.o kid.
Now it's time to see if he can live up to his new value and the squad number assigned to him (number 9, heck yeah^^ ).

Turns out Burnley didn't make a bad investment either on Edgar..... more to come in the Summer Transfer update!

Has my player been appointed wales under 21 captain ? and also is he likely to be leaving stoke soon ?

I'm hoping Keaney can thrive from his loan spell at Bradford! I assume they're still in League 1?
