Final Transfer Update

The Southampton Chairman would just like to remind any interested parties as the transfer window closes, that the very talented Pablo Osvaldo is still for sale, having achieve high average ratings during this season, Southampton believe that Osvaldo's talents would be best used elsewhere as they try to mold the team into better shape!

His current asking price is ?7M and would be a steal for most premier league teams!

Jackson Martinez, Alex, N.Gaitan , Koke and Jovetic set to sign!

In an astonishing days event Palace are close to signing Jackson Martinez, Alex , Nicolas Gaitan , Koke and Jovetic with 25 minutes to spare! It is yet unknown the transfer fees and contract length but hundreds of Palace fans are packed outside the training ground at mid night waiting for the signings to be unveiled with chairman and manager Aidan Murphy. This is surely one of the best transfer days in English football history and reiterates Murphy's desire to make Palace a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. It is our understanding however that Jovetic, Koke and Gaitan are loan deals but Martinez and Alex are permanent deals. It is also our understanding that after talks with Murphy and Pulis this morning that the players felt the move was the right move for their career and were intrigued by the Palace project. In other Palace news Demba Ba, Mauro Icardi and Jason Puncheon loan deals have been cancelled and Crouch, Petric, Nolan, Marrippa, Pennant, M.Taylor, and Kevin Phillips have sadly departed the club. With Palace 19th in the division the fans are believed to be absolutely ecstatic with Murphy and co and fully believe they will be in the Premier League again next season.

I hope you know that no transfers is confirmed yet!

Jealously creeping in already *sigh*. You could at least wait until I leapfrog you in the table to become jealous :P

Don't know what that means.
But your previous message is very close to an actual announcement.

Good luck.

I'm guessing west brom have higher rep than palace,Rijkaard has higher rep than pulis. So I'm assuming I'm actually more likely to get 1 of them 'palace signings' which will be pretty awkward for aidymurf97 after banging on about it ?

Had a feeling that would happen but ah well. To be honest certain rules need serious thought because in real life when do clubs not know until the Deadline Day has passed that some other club has nicked a player. To be honest it's just a bit unfair on the lower teams as they have no hope with these players. I don't mind someone else taking my player like Chelsea took Willian off Spurs but at least we should be told before the Deadline Day has passed :/

I preferred it in the summer window when the chairman window lasted longer, it gave everyone the opportunity to buy for the missing position from the premier league if they find out a target was taken by another club, also allowed youth signings to be loaned out if you wanted to

Agreed. Don't understand why this one is any different? Serious questions need answering. It just feels when you're a smaller team every little thing is swung in the bigger teams way which is an absolute disgrace even from the minor issues as we are left in the dark for every single FGN transfer! And I know it can happen to some big teams too but literally everything is against the smaller teams.

Suppose it's realistic that the big teams get an advantage, just it being said after the transfer window has finished doesn't leave any back up options, i hope we do it like the summer window for the next transfer window

True but isn't this game supposed to be realistic and when do clubs ever hear after the deadline that 'their' player was never 'their' player at all leaving you with no backup options.. Going to cost someone big time at some stage if rules aren't adjusted and could even cost me this year!

I do agree with you, but think were ****** anyway a gaps starting to form between the bottom 2(us) and everyone else, hopefully I get all my signings and perform a miracle

Hence me trying to sign J.Martinez and Jovetic. 18 games. I say I've a good chance. I'd be worried for some clubs that haven't did much business in the bottom half.

That is some strikeforce to be fair. I think a lot of them have done business but are yet to announce it. I've completed 7 transfers already from in the league but are yet to announce them, what I've done is build the squad with these players, then go for the foreign players and if I don't get them I'm not light in any position but if I do they strengthen me a lot, luxury signings really

I reckon the bottom 3 will strengthen extremely well but the teams in 11th - 16th will think ' ah we're safe we just need 1 or so light additions and we will be OK' but in fact because the bottom 3 will have signed 'world class' players then they'll be in big trouble. But who knows. Just my opinion.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself! :p
