Nothing surprising at the top of the table here as the big 6 remain the same. The gap down to 7th place Wolves was 11 points so the gap is still clearly there. Wolves were the best placed chairmen team in 7th and were followed by Crystal Palace, Watford and Bournemouth to round out the top half of the table.
At the bottom it was a disappointing season for Aston Villa and Cardiff as two chairmen teams get relegated to the Championship. Aston Vila always looked doomed but almost dragged themselves out of it and finished only 3 points from safety.
League Cup
Still no chairmen team winner here as the remaining chairmen team, Huddersfield, fell in the semi-finals to eventual winners Man Utd. I still believe it is only a matter of time before we claim our first piece of silverware and you never know it could be in the FA Cup this season.
FA Cup
Or not. Watford got all the way to final but were comfortably beaten by Liverpool 3-0 at Wembley.
Europe
WOW WOW WOW. We have our first piece of silverware and it goes to dwellsync's Wolves and it comes in an all chairmen club final as the beat Bournemouth 1-0 in the final to claim the Europa League. Their run to final is one of the hardest I have seen for the second tier of European football as they had to beat Milan, Lyon and Wolfsburg before facing Bournemouth.

Some very big deals happened in the summer as our chairmen teams lost some big players. The biggest deal was Wolves losing Diego Lainez to PSG for over £100mil. The most expensive player coming into a chairmen team is most likely Lainez’s replacement as Wolves sign Rodrygo for a deal worth up to £56mil.
Premier League
Half way through the season and Bournemouth are well on track to break into the top 6 again and possibly even the top 4. The next closest team are Watford in 8th place. Down at the bottom we have just one chairmen team in the bottom 3 as Leicester sit in 19th place. They are only 3 points away from safety though so they are definitely able to get themselves out of trouble before the end of the season.
Championship
We have one team in the Championship this season and that is Aston Villa. They currently sit in 3rd place and joint 2nd so they are in a good position to return to the Premier League this season.
League Cup
We have two teams remaining as we get to the semi-finals and it is one each in either semi-final. That could mean an all chairmen club final or possibly none so anything can happen here.
Europe
Wolves qualified for the Champions League due to their Europa League success last season and they while they weren’t able to qualify from their group they can take solace in the fact that they drop into the Europa League and also that in their final group game, they beat Barcelona 2-1. They challenge in the Europa League is a knockout tie against Benfica.

There have been some big deals this winter including the biggest deal of the season as Andre Silva leaves Wolves for Man Utd for £129mil. This means the two biggest deals of the season are Wolves losing players. Huddersfield also lost a player for big money as peter Toussaint left to go to Man City for £91mil.
Aston Villa lost another player as Will Hughes left for Wolves in a deal worth up to £46mil but it doesn’t seem to be stopping them in their fight for promotion as the currently sit at the top of the Championship.
I am currently simming to the end of the season and will hopefully post about it tonight but it all depends on the speed of my laptop (which is not the quickest).
So no one breaks into the top 6 this season but Wolves were the closest to doing so and were just 4 points off of Tottenham in the end. Bournemouth seemed to drop away again and finished down in 11th place. Southampton, Watford and Everton were the other teams in the top half.
At the bottom, it is good news for chairmen teams as all 3 of the relegated teams were not run by us. Leicester were extremely lucky though as they stay up due to having a superior goal difference than Leeds. They are even luckier when you look at the results on the final day and realise that Leicester won and Leeds lost due to a 90th minute goal from Crystal Palace.
Championship
We had just one team in the Championship and they are leaving the division to join everyone else in the Premier League as Aston Villa finished the season as champions. A total of 92 points secured them the title and they now have the chance of fighting for survival in the Prem.
League Cup
Wolves came close to winning this one but in the end it is Arsenal that take home the title. Wolves did very well to beat Liverpool so comprehensively in the semi-final but were unable to bring home the cup this time.
FA Cup
In the FA Cup it was Bournemouth’s turn to go close as they made it all the way to the final where they faced Man City and were soundly beaten. It is yet another season where we were unable to win a domestic trophy.
Europe
It is completely different in Europe though as Wolves have retained their Europa League title. I said that their run last season was hard but this one was no easier as they had to beat Man Utd, Wolfsburg, Arsenal and then Inter to retain the European trophy. It is an incredible feat and dwellsync should be pleased with what his team have done in Europe over the last couple of seasons.
