Breaking News-
JOSE MOURINHO HAS BEEN SACKED AS MANAGER OF TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR-

Mourinho Sacked .jpg

After a meeting with club executives, Jose Moruinho has been relieved of his duties effective immediately. A short message was posted on the clubs website as the Bastos family insisted they 'Thanked Jose and his team for the work they had undertook while at the club' But then went on to say 'Jose's vision and style of football is not something we want to advocate at Tottenham Hotspur'

In an Audacious move, they have appointed an 'Interim head coach' on a 1 year contract, with a clause to extend a further year should they wish to uptake it

The Bastos commented 'we are very happy to announce the arrival Of Juan Lillo on a one year rolling contract, We see that his vision and football philosophy is something that we want to see installed at Tottenham Hotspurs.' When asked to comment on the reason for the rolling 1 year contract model they refused to comment.

AFTV ANNOUNCE ARTETA REMOVED FROM MANAGER ROLE
1588441276960.png

The new Arsenal owners have wasted no time in stamping their mark on the side by removing Mikel Arteta as manager. Despite only being in the job for a short amount of time, Arteta has been deemed surplus to requirements by Robbie and the board and removed from his role. There are a number of candidates who are eager being lined up to replace Mikel Arteta but one has to presume the Arsenal hierarchy already have a name in mind to replace the Spaniard. With the season fast approaching, they'll want to get the job done quickly so the manager has time to work with the players before the first kick off.

Just hours after Mikel Arteteta is removed as Arsenal manager, he is straight back into work taking the vacant Norwich job. Daniel Farke was only removed from his position a few hours earlier and Arteta has said that he can't wait to pick up where the German left off.

1ST NOVEMBER 2019 UPDATE

League Table Nov 19.JPG

So as we reach the 1st November 2019, Liverpool lead the way but only by goal differences after 10 games. The usual suspects accompany the top 6 spots. Brighton are doing better than expected following the appointment of Jose Mourinho and find themselves in 7th.

As we look at the bottom, things have not started well for Aston Villa and Sheffield Utd with each team only taking 6 points from their first 10 games, with Sheffield Utd the only team not to have a win this season. Wolves are the surprise, finding themselves in 16th.

Player Stats Nov 19.JPG

CARABAO CUP

Carabao Cup QF.JPG

As we reach the Quarter Final of the Carabao cup, 6 chairman teams remain in the cup. And there was quite a surprise in the last 16:

Swindon vs Liverpool Last 16.JPG

Swindon knocked out Liverpool 2-1 to reach the quarter finals.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Champions League Nov 19 E-H.JPG

As we reach the half way stage of the champions league groups, all chairman teams look to be on course so far to make it through their groups.

Just like the Champions League, all teams look on course to make it to the next round.

1st JANUARY 2020 UPDATE

League Table Jan 20.JPG

So at the half way stage Arsenal now lead the league and have a 3 point lead to Liverpool and Man City. Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham continue to occupy the top 6 spots while Brighton continue to exceed expectations in 7th.

At the bottom, there is no let up for Sheffield Utd who have only won 1 league game and have drawn half of their games and find themselves bottom and 4 points a drift. Wolves continue to free fall and sit 1 point just above. andy_14clark will be worrying at the moment as both Southampton and Aston Villa occupy either side of the relegation zone in 17th and 18th respectively.

CARABAO CUP

Well the big teams are really going for the Carabao Cup this year as 4 of the top 6 have made it through the semi-finals.

All chairman clubs made it through safely with only Liverpool not winning their group.

EUROPA LEAGUE
Europa League Last 32.JPG

Again, all teams in the Europa League make it through to the last 32 with Arsenal the only team not to win their group.

Manager Changes.JPG

There were a few managers changes also with Crystal Palace and Tottenham both sacking their managers and not actually finding a replacement. (If the chairman of these clubs would like to re-hire these managers, let me know. If not, please provide me with your new manager please.)

TRANSFERS JANUARY 2020

Transfers 1 of 2.JPG

Most of the main transfers happened in the summer but a few additional transfers were done by managers. The main one being the sale of Paul Pogba who moves from Man Utd to Real Madrid for a fee of £81m. The next transfer done this window was the purchase of Everton who joins Chelsea for Gremio for a fee of £20m. The next purchase down the list was from Brighton who sign Eran Zahavi from GZ R&F for £5.25m.

The was a few other moves in the leagues by managers of chairman clubs with teams clearing out some players. Sofiane Boufal moves to Zenit from Southampton for £10.5m, Newcastle sell Matt Ritchie and Paul Dummett to Monterrey (joins up with Ciaran Clark) and Jeonbuk respectively for £6m and £4.7m, James McArthur moves to FC RB Salzburg from Crystal Palace for £5m while Dale Stephens also leaves Brighton for the same amount to AA Gent. Tom Cleverly also leaves the premier league to join FC Kobenhaven for £4.2m. Lastly, Jeonbuk did not stop their raid on the premier league as they also signed Matty James from Leicester for £4.1m. All other transfers of lower than £4m have been left.

1ST APRIL 2020 UPDATE

League Table Apr 20.JPG

Well as we can see, Liverpool now lead the league but the top 4 are close as we move into the final quarter of games. The top 6 have stayed the same since day 1. Watford have improved massively in the second half of the season. At the bottom I'm in trouble with Aston Villa and Southampton who are both in the bottom 3 (Southampton have not won a game since mid-December). The transfers made by Sheffield Utd have worked a treat and they have won 5 game in a row (wins against Arsenal and Man Utd in those games).

I will quickly just update the remaining information for people to look over.

END OF SEASON UPDATE

Final League Table.JPG

Well towards the end, Man City went on a run which has secured them the title this year on the final day with a win. Liverpool and Chelsea only finish 4 points behind in a very close season so no title for a chairman this year. Arsenal were going well but fell towards the end as they drop down to 5th and miss out on the champions league spots losing on the final day which allowed local rivals Tottenham to take the last spot. Man Utd take the other europa league spot.

Now on to the relegation and this was a total disaster for me as both my teams Aston Villa and Southampton are both relegated to the championship! Crystal Palace were lucky to escape this year, not picking up any points in their last 5 games and surviving by 1 point with Aston Villa losing their last two games also stopping them from overtaking Palace. Well looks like I have a challenge myself moving forward for next season.

Player Stats.JPG

Manager Movements.JPG

Following the end of season, Man Utd sacked Allegri while during the season, Southampton appointed Michael Laudrup who was unable to save them.

FA Cup Final.JPG

Liverpool find some consolation in not winning the league by taking the FA Cup home beat West Ham in the final.

Champions League Final.JPG

A great season for Man City who complete the double by taking winning the champions league to go along with their premier league title (shame they are still no ran by a chairman in the league).

Europa League final.JPG

An all foreign final as Porto defeat Roma in the final.

Budgets will be posted up soon for everyone to start their transfers. Deadline is Sunday 10th May 2020 at 7pm

Marcelo Gallardo Begins his reign well at Tottenham-
Gallardo.jpg
Marcelo Gallardo celebrates as he secures Champions league football for Tottenham next season!

Bastos family were thrilled that their Tottenham Hotspurs had qualified for next seasons champions league saying it was 'a huge reputation and financial boost for the club meaning they could invest heavily into the playing squad next season' But also commenting 'We do not have the financial power of the big top 4 in this country, we will be looking to buy young for our manager and develop a footballing team over the coming years'. They also added that they were looking to acquire atleast 2 'proper central midfield players' To compliment the squad.

Costa and Dias add to squads style of play-
Dias .jpg
Ruben Dias was a central figure at the centre of Tottenhams back line last season featuring 18 times in the league, Demonstrating his array of technical ability from the heart of defense

Costa.jpg
Douglas costa had a brilliant season in the wide midfield role, one he hopes to continue to have going into next season.

The bastos family were thrilled to have Gallardo in charge, adding that they were very excited to add to the playing squad in an attempt to cement their top 4 spot.
