Millwall In Crisis

After relegation from the championship Millwall FC were expected to yoyo back up with promotion from league one. Instead they had to fight tooth and nail to avoid being relegated again. The fans are not happy and have voiced their concerns in many different ways.

"We invested heavily in our squad in the last few years and we did not expect to be playing in league one at all. Due to the unforeseen relegation and being unable to return to the championship straight away, this has left the club in a very poor financial position. Whilst we would love to keep our best players at the club, without positive finances the club can not grow. As a result we are playing some of our best, and higher earning players on the transfer list to try and help the unfortunate position we are in" said the Millwall Chairman.

"Solskjaer and i have sat down and spoken about our plans for the club. Whist the results have been dissapointing he will be staying as manager of Millwall. He has satisfied me in the way he wants to help the club out of the hole we find ourselves in and he has my full support. However, he knows that results must improve".

Swansea City Transfer List
I'm looking to sell the following players with guide prices listed, although I will listen to offers.
Daniel James (AML/AMR) - £2.5m

I will also consider loaning out the youngsters listed below, I've also noted their weekly salaries which as you can see are relatively small so they won't hit the weekly wage budget much either.
- Ebenzer Oduro (GK) - £5.25k
- Ryan Evans (GK) - £4.6k
- Antoni Heatley (GK) - £425
- Michael Gangl (DR) - £1.2k
- Dardan Boshnjaku (MC) - £1.9k
- Ross Webber (AML) - £1.8k
- Noah Lobinger (AMC) - £5.25k
- Julle Bembo-Lets (ST) - £1.1k
- Mike Searle (ST) - £7.25k

WEST BROM UPDATE!

Pep Guardiola is convinced to return back to his West Brom project after assurances from Chairman Shah that he can spend the money he wants to so WBA can finally start challenging for European Positions. Although the Bank doesn't have much money, not the kind Guardiola is demanding, its rumoured that Shah has given Pep Guardiola the complete autonomy when it comes to transfers although Shah still will have a say in signing youngsters for the club and expects Guardiola to develop them.

The season which promised so much ended up in disappointment after Guardiola left mid-January after disputes with Shah and the interim manager couldn't do much. Shah had hoped the Cristiano Ronaldo, Cavani and others will be able to usher WBA in an era of glory but it is now up to the young guns to do so!

The Club while firmly established as a Premier League club has been stuck in mid-table rot and both the fans and the Chairman wants it to change and hence the decision to swallow his ego and go back to Guardiola! The club and the fan both hope that the decision bears fruit and they are finally able to see their club prosper!

TRANSFER LIST

Aaron-Wan Bissaka (20 Mn) - English and a brilliant right back! A good enough Premier League player and can storm the Championship clubs at will!

Galgyto Hasselbaink (10 Mn) - Young and has played in England for 3 years so counts as HG! Has the potential to be one of the better left backs at any Premier League club!

Callum-Hudson Odoi (5 Mn) - Can play across the attacking third and will easily dominate Championship!

Salvadore Castagna (40 Mn) - A brilliant forward who is going unutilised due to our tactics! Great physical skills and decent finishing will get you 15 goals a year!

LOAN LIST

I am willing to negotiate for any player in the U-23's and CHO

Sorry mate, deadline is gone and sim is underway already. I don't always have time to message everyone individually when you miss out on someone. I try my best but the odd one slips through the net I'm afraid. To ensure you get the players you want in future, make a higher salary bid ;-)

SEASON PREVIEWS

View attachment 14768

ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

Blackburn, Brentford, Sunderland and Leeds have all made disappointing starts with 5 points or less from their opening 7 games. West Brom and Stoke on the other hand, are within 5 points of leaders Liverpool, having made good, if unspectacular, starts.

View attachment 14767

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

Nottingham Forest lead the way, with QPR the nearest chairman side to them back in 5th. Swansea and Norwich also sit in the top half, whilst its been a really poor start for Preston who sit in the relegation spots early on.

View attachment 14766

SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

Portsmouth have made a good start and sit 2nd, although Bristol Rovers have already opened up a 7 point lead at the top!! Millwall have again started poorly and are all the way down in 19th.

View attachment 14765

CARABAO CUP

At the 4th round stage, only a few of us remain in the competition. Brentford, Stoke, Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Aston Villa are still in!

View attachment 14764

EUROPA LEAGUE

Stoke have a relatively straight forward group and have already kicked off their Europa League campaign with a win over Bordeaux. Unfortunately, Sunderland dropped out at the 3rd qualifying stage against Austria Vienna.

I am now simming to January and should have that update up later today!

Oh Dear! It appears having no money to spend may be catching up with us!

Fingers crossed we can pick up heading into Jan!

JANUARY 2025 UPDATE

JANUARY 2025 UPDATE

MANAGER MOVEMENTS

Blackburn - Javi Gracia sacked - Replaced with Rui Vitoria
Leeds - Brendan Rodgers sacked - Replaced with Alex Neil
Swansea - Scott Parker sacked - Replaced with Ryan Giggs
Millwall - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked - Replaced with Claude Puel

Chairmen with sacked manager, please let me know what you'd like me to do...

1) I can either reinstate your manager again for free (even if this manager has gone to another club, you will have 1st choice to keep him, even if he has gone to another chairman club)
2) You can replace them with someone else (you'll only have to pay compensation to your new manager's club if they have one, unless it's a chairman club in which case you can have them back for free).
3) Keep the manager who has taken over your club on the game for which there will be no fee as the game will have already worked out and taken any compensation from your balance (unless it's another chairman's manager and they want them back, in which case you'll have to revert to option 1 or 2 above).

If your manager was not sacked and left the club, then you cannot re-appoint him for free! You can either stick with the manager who has taken over, or you can appoint a new one of your own but if they have a club then you'll have to pay compensation!

ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

West Brom, Stoke and Middlesbrough all sit just outside the top 6, whilst Blackburn, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Brentford are all involved in the relegation battle although safe at the moment. Leeds on the other hand, find themselves down in 19th, although a good run can easily see them rise up the table.

View attachment 14762

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

It's Norwich that now lead Nottingham Forest in the 2nd tier. QPR are well amongst the playoff pack, whilst Swansea and Birmingham won't have given up on the top 6 just yet! Preston have been one of the most improved teams as they climb to 15th, with no chairman sides looking in danger of the drop.

View attachment 14761

SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

Portsmouth are now top of the pile and Millwall have improved to now within 3 points of the playoffs.

View attachment 14760

FA CUP

With the 3rd round just around the corner, most of us have got decent draws. Sunderland have the dreaded away tie at Man City, whilst Blackburn and Millwall will meet in an all chairman affair.

View attachment 14759

CARABAO CUP

Only Aston Villa remain with 3 of the big boys at the semi final stage! Stoke and Brentford both made it to the semi finals.

View attachment 14758

CHECKATRADE TROPHY

Millwall failed to get through their group stage.

View attachment 14757

On the other hand, Portsmouth have made it through to the 3rd round of the southern section where they'll play Bournemouth's youngsters.

View attachment 14756

EUROPA LEAGUE

As expected, Stoke ****** their Europa League group.

And will now take on FC Kobenhavn in the first knockout stage.
