Today is the day, the 2nd leg of the Campeonato Mineiro Finals. Its the Classico Mineiro between Clube Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro Esporte Clube.

Today match will be the Estádio Independência and it will feature a majority of the Galo fans. Last match, Atletico Mineiro had a 2-0 lead in the first half before Cruzeiro cameback and tied it 2-2. Today, Atletico only needs a draw to win their 2nd consecutive Campeonato Mineiro title. Cruzeiro need to win the game as any type of draw will give Atletico Mineiro the title as there is no away goals, extra time and penalties.

Our squad is almost the same expect Diego Lugano is playing instead of Leonardo Silva due to Silva costing us two huge mistake that led to goals. Emerson Conceicao is also replacing Junior Cesar due Cesar being tired from the Copa Libertadores match. Cruzeiro also had a mixed squad due to the commitment of the Copa Libertadores match but Adrian Ramos is still a threat that we need to focus on after scoring 2 goals late match. Cruzeiro defense is led by Dede so my attacking forces will need to pressure him so hopefully he can make a mistake.
As the officials go to the middle, they signal both goalies to see if they are ready. Atletico will start the game.

5th minute: Emerson Conceicao gives the ball to Guilherme and runs up. He passes the ball to Marion and immediately passes to Conceicao. Conceicao crosses to the box and Ramires jumps over Djavan and headers it....... SAVE BY FABIO.
8th minute: Marcos Rocha takes the throw-in and tries to give it to Ramires but Dede slides in and intercepts the ball. The ball goes back to Marcos Rocha and he aims the ball to the far right corner but Fabiano heads it away. But the ball lands to Cirigliano, who plays the ball to the middle and Pratto one times it..... MISSES THE NET.
12th minute: Freekick for Atletico Mineiro after an offside call against Adrian Ramos. Victor takes it and its goes to Marion. Marion beats Fabiano and passes to Lucas Pratto. Pratto gets free from the defender and is alone with the keeper. He shot it at the far right corner.... SAVE BY FABIO.
19th minute: Goal kick for Cruzeiro. He kicks it and ball goes to Emerson Conceicao and Elber but Conceicao beat him and gives it to Diego Lugano. Lugano passes to Guilherme, beats Alisson and gives it to Marion. Marion run up the left and crosses to the middle trying to find Pratto but Dede saves the day and its a corner for Atletico.
25th minute: Free kick for Atletico Mineiro. Marion is behind the ball ready to take it. Marion run and kicks it..... MISS THE NET. Oh just over the crossbar.
28th minute: Yellow card to Fabiano after fouling Lucas Pratto.
37th minute: Fabio grabs the ball and tells his players to move up. He kicks it and Adrian Ramos gets the ball and passes through Emerson Conceicao. Marcos Rocha rushes to the other side and steals the ball from Ramos then kicks the ball up forward. Pratto tries to get the ball but Fabio runs outside the box and heads it away. But the ball isn't hard enough and goes to Guilherme. Guilherme sees that the keeper is way off box and chips it over the keeper and.....
GGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!! Guilherme scores the first goal of the game and it was a GOLACO of a goal. 1-0 Atletico and 3-2 on aggregate.

38th minute: Kickoff for Cruzeiro. Ramos gives it to Alisson who immediately gives it to Henrique. Henrique passes to Djavan and see Ramos open and crosses to him. But Diego Lugano see it and intercepts it by heading it and going to Guilherme. Guilherme runs up and passes to Lucas Pratto. Pratto beats Seymour and goes to Dede and makes a fancy move that beats him. Pratto is alone with the keeper and places it at the far left corner......
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!! Seconds after making it 1-0, Atletico double their lead and makes it a 4-2 on aggregate.

40th minute: Substitution for Atletico Mineiro. Lucas Candido cannot continue due to injury after Alisson challenge him. Pierre will replace him.
43rd minute: Corner kick for Atletico Mineiro. Marcos Rocha takes it and swings it to Pierre. Pierre tries to volley it but miskicks it and lands to Cirigliano. He passes to Emerson Conceicao, who immediately gives it to Guilherme. Guilherme sees Marion open and gives to him. Marion runs and passes to Pierre, who makes himself open after getting the ball and shots it with his left.....
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL!!! Pierre makes it 3-0 and now Cruzeiro will need a miracle to see them comeback to this. 5-2 aggregate.

44th minute: Kickoff for Cruzeiro. Alisson passes to Henrique and then passes right to Seymour. Seymour see Ramos running to an open space and crosses to him. Adrian Ramos collects the ball and sees De Arrascaeta open. De Arrascaeta gets the ball and finds an open space. He shoots........
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!! De Arrascaeta scores calmly to the net and Cruzeiro finds themselves back in the game. Is this the beginning of a comeback? 5-3 on aggregate.

Atletico Mineiro are now 45 minutes away from winning their 2nd consecutive title and are dominating the game. Will Cruzeiro show up in the 2nd half.

54th minute: Marcos Rocha takes the throw in. He throws to Ramires and runs to the box. He rushes pass Leo and places the ball to the 6 yard box. Pratto runs in front of Seymour and.......
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!! Pratto heads it in and ball hits the post to go in. 4-1 for Atletico Mineiro and 6-3 on aggregate. Now Cruzeiro will need to pray if they want to win this title.

71st minute: Pierre flicks the ball to Guilherme. He runs up and sees that Pratto is open then passes to him. Pratto sets himself up and shoots a spectator shot..... SAVE BY FABIO.
74th minute: Substitution for Cruzeiro. Julio Cesar comes in and replaces Djavan.
74th minute: Julio Cesar takes the throw in. He gives it Alisson and immediately passes back. Julio Cesar plays the ball long but Felipe Santana heads it away. De Arrascaeta collects the ball and plays it to Alisson. Alisson does a one-two with Ralf and passes to Adrian Ramos. Ramos gives it to De Arrascaeta, who runs pass Diego Lugano and he shoots.... 84th minute: Substitution of Atletico Mineiro. Diego Lugano comes out and Jemerson comes in.
89th minute: Substitution for Atletico. Cirigliano subbed off and Jadson comes in.
90th minute: The officials adds 3 more minutes.
90th +3 minute: The official blows his whistle.
ATLETICO MINEIRO ARE CHAMPIONS. They successfully defended their title and now won the title for the 45th time in history.
