Derek Shaw:-
Good evening and welcome to Ewood Park. I would like to thank all of you for attending this hastily arranged press conference. Let me introduce myself to those who do not know me, I am Derek Shaw and I am the Managing Director here at Blackburn Rovers and now to why you are all here.
This afternoon a meeting was started with the owners and a new buyer about the sale of Blackburn Rovers and after several hours of discussions this has now concluded.
Balaji and Venkatesh Rao have sold all their shares in the club and have left with immediate effect.
Also leaving with then are the chairman Anuradha Desai along with directors Gandhi Babu, Robert Coar and Shebby Singh.
The new owner will be setting up a new board of directors shortly.
It is now my pleasure to introduce the new owner and chairman, Davie Bond.

Davie Bond:-
Hi.
First and foremost, yes I do look like him, no I'm not related and it's just an unfortunate coincidence. Now that that's out of the way, onto the serious stuff.
I'm absolutely ecstatic to having been able to purchase the Rovers. We are back up where we belong and it is up to all of us to help keep us here.
This year it is imperative that we stay up, it's going to be hard but it can be done.
Our manager, Gary Bowyer, has done a magnificent job in getting us here and he will be in charge for our challenge here.
Any questions?

Robbie Savage:-
Hello Davie, welcome to Blackburn. What style of football do you see the Rovers playing?

Davie Bond:-
Thanks Robbie. I want us to be playing attractive attacking football. People want to see goals and we've just gotta score more than the opposition. We've got some great goalscorers here and I want to see them let loose on this Premier League.

Jim White:-
Hello Davie, good to see a fellow Scot in charge of a Premier League team. Have you set your manager any instructions about who to sign?

Davie Bond:-
Oh no it's Jim White. Hi Jim
As a matter of fact I have Jim. When I think back to when I was younger the great Liverpool teams of the 70's and early 80's had a spine of Scots in it and I want the same here. A strong spine of the team through the middle and let the flair play around them. No targets have been set so it's entirely the managers choice.

Simon Garner:-
Welcome Davie. OK how's the transfer budget looking for this year is a question a lot of our readers will be wanting to know Davie. Will Gary be able to spend, spend, spend?

Davie Bond:-
Unfortunately no Simon. I already have had this conversation with Gary and he completely understands the reasons behind this very hard decision. He will have to do a bit of wheeling and dealing before he has any capital to spend on strengthening the squad.
Thank you all for attending and here's to a successful season for the blue and whites.
