Four Fresh Faces For Swansea

Swansea Announce Four New Signings



First of all we have the signing of Graham Dorrans, for a fee of ?1m, Next up we have the signing of Arouna Kone and Tim Howard from Everton for ?1m. And finally Gylfi Siggurdsson returns to Swansea for a fee of ?12m.
All four transfers are a step forward for the Welsh club as they look to strengthen their squad for further improvements this season.

Bergkamp had this to say:
"We had a great season last time round and so there is no need for us to change the squad drastically, we only needed a few players so pad out areas which we were short in, I have made these transfers and we still have abit to play with. David joins us in a season long loan deal from Cardiff City. A Scottish internationalist that is looking to pick up more caps for his country, he will join the fight for the No. 1 jersey here and I am hoping that we will be able to sort something out soon to make this move a permanent one. John Keeley, our goalkeeping coach, has already said that he is looking forward to the training sessions between David, Paul Robinson and Jake Kean.

Versatile Scottish attacking midfielder Steven can also play in the strikers position if required is a great addition to our squad. He arrives here on a season long loan deal as well from Everton. Again we will be hoping to make this move a permanent one as soon as we can as we believe that Steven is a fantastic player and he will immensely aid our survival in this league. Gary Bowyer is looking forward to teaming him up with Jordan Rhodes and seeing Steven make assist after assist for our strikers as well as popping up with a few goals of his own too.

Signing That Will Strengthen The First-11 The Most :

Marco Reus (29,5 mil) - Arsenal / naterr

It's hard not to mention the most expensive signing this window - a man that seems to fit perfect in Arsenal, and is going to be a clear squad-improvement.

Runner-up: Gylfi Sigurdsson - Swansea / NathWalker


Most Potential For "Worst Signing of The Year" aka. "The Torres Award" :

Emmanuel Adebayor (2,5 mil) - West Ham / Former Chairman

Adebayor has seen his best years and is now running around at the Boleyn Ground laughing all the way to the bank with a weekly wage-check on 100 K.
I could be wrong... but the new Torres?


Most Strengthen Team In The Relegation Battle :

Cardiff - Njmclare

Brought in a broad variety off benched players from the top teams - looks capable to battle off relegation again.


Biggest Eye-Lifter / Most Exciting Signing :

Didier Drogba (775 K) - Hull City / Disclaimer89

Very prolific signing Hull made by bringing the legend back to the Premier League - definitely my most 'exciting to watch'.
