Summerbee reflects on last season and looks forward to new season
ssn: so you finished in 2nd place, just 1 point of top. how do you feel the season went for you?
summerbee: im disappointed of course, we built a squad to win the league but failed to do so,but well look forward to next season and hopefully put right what went wrong.
ssn:you changed manager midway through the season to a man loved by the fans so much as uwe rosler, how do you feel he has done?
summerbee: he got 41 points out of a possible 60, whilst playing a more direct style of football than d have enjoyed. of course the points tally isn't too bad but hes not playing the city way,we want him to be replaced by a manager who does get us to play the city way but of course we don't want to pay a lot to sack him,so we are encouraging anyone to take him from us for no fee at all, they will get a talented young manager, just not a city type of manager.we were previously close to getting him to leave to another club recently but it was blocked by the fa as they were too much in debt.
ssn: and finally, any transfer news to give us?
summerbee: as you know, txiki bergistirain(director of football) has already signed michy batshuayi from west brom for 4.2m and zuculini has joined for 2.2m(this was agreed before the window), I can now announce that batshuayi has immediately gone on loan to Cardiff now.other than that no news so far, but here is our transfer list if anybody is interested.
